You can use pain to hold you back, OR you can use it to help you find your purpose. On today’s show we are joined by Amberly Lago, who was hit by an SUV while riding her motorcycle at age 38. She has since had 34 surgeries to save her leg from amputation, and was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome dubbed “the suicide disease.”
She has been featured on NBC’s TODAY Show, Hallmark Channel, TEDx, Good Morning Lalaland, and featured in magazines such as Health, Fit Pregnancy, Shape, and Disability Magazine.
In this episode we discuss:
- What life was like before her life-altering accident
- The impact the accident had on every facet of her life, and the various ways in which she has experimented coping with everyday chronic pain
- Her mindset throughout the years following the accident, and how she was determined to reinvent herself to help people turn their pain into purpose
- Her current passion for public speaking and mindset coaching that helps people turn tragedies into triumphs
- How people can tap into their resilience and learn to live with chronic pain while making an attempt to live a normal life
