For many years it has been Marlborough Meeting’s pleasure to sponsor a Carol Sing at Christmas time. It has always been a happy occasion as families gather to sing traditional Christmas Carols and listen to harp and guitar music. So, it is particularly sad to report that the Carol Sing for the year 2020 has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We wanted to try to continue this tradition in some small way. So, we are publishing this podcast of Bible readings and Christmas music. We have included some of the music from the blue songbook we use during the regular Carol sing. From this you can build a playlist using the podcast player of your choice. Although it cannot replace the feeling of community when we gather at the Meetinghouse, it may help in your family’s celebrations.The musicians that usually fill the Meeting House with music are working hard to prepare a selection for this podcast. They will be published as they are ready. In addition we have made recordings of other artists available.Check back frequently for updates. If it should be God’s will, we shall be together again near Christmas 2021.
