The title of this episode is meant to pay homage to Kyle McSpadden's favorite authors (a nod to trees and linguistics). It also best describes my friend's journey -- learning important life lessons from his parents, fulfilling a dream of living in Asia, and  moving back to start a family in California. We also got all serious and discussed what it truly means to be there for your partner during life's most difficult phases. 

Kyle and I don't get to chat very often anymore, but I always learn something new when we do.
