With JD A Walk in The Woods (Virtual challenge - get back out and walk!!)Hey there listeners it’s JD here and welcome to the Fifth fortnightly episode of … A friendly Conversation. Today I went for a walk as part of my Long Covid rehabilitation. I decided to go to the woods and just quietly walk around for a while to see how much I could do without getting Ill.On the walk we hear some interesting bird songs, I use a bird song naming app (which annoys me), I walk past some rivers, talk about my joke fungus/mushroom book and I get some excruciating calf pain.I am extremely chuffed as my total for this walk was just over 1.5 miles!!!! A great start to my Long Covid rehabilitationIf you want to know more about the conqueror challenges - https://www.theconqueror.events/ Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/a-friendly-conversation. Hey there listeners it’s JD here and welcome to the forth fortnightly episode of … A friendly Conversation. A friend of mine reached out after watching the first video (on YouTube) back in 2018 after he watched the first ‘chat with mates’ instalment with Doug. If you’re interested you can find that chat with Doug (from 2018) as the second episode of this podcast. So without further ado I present to you my friend Joe, we have been mates for over 20 years and he has had some incredible life experiences above all he is a great positive person to be around, and this conversation is back from 27th May 2018. He’s got more hobbies than there are days of the year. Between playing music, video games, movies and painting scale miniatures, you can regularly find him stuck face first in the guts of a computer, being a massive geek. He’s a quiet guy, but will talk your ear off once you get to know him, and he has been known to swear like a sailor, so consider yourself forewarned. In this video we talk about so many subjects, including, but not limited to:-Mental healthRelationshipsGoogleHome AutomationFriendsand much more, I hope you enjoy.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/a-friendly-conversation. Hey there listeners it’s JD here and welcome to the second fortnightly episode of A friendly Conversation. This is a friendly chat with my mate Doug back from April 2018. We share some great stories about mental health (something that affects both myself and Doug), remote control cars, racing, relationships, as well as a many other subjects. Now a quick detail about Doug, I first met Doug around 11 years ago as we worked for the same small business in Bath UK, we also saw eye to eye on many different things and as such a friendship blossomed. == Links ==JD Quad Vlogs - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv-Y1ObAqiGT0XE8gWLuxHgDeath Pigeon - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQV5czNEn9iCdowofdJQwDQSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/a-friendly-conversation. Hey there listeners it’s JD here and welcome to the introductory episode of A friendly Conversation. I plan to have an episode of this podcast released every fortnight and as this is technically the first episode I thought I would take a moment to explain what this podcast is about, to introduce myself as well as what you’ve got coming in the next weeks and months. I am hoping this podcast achieves two things:To be an open forum for free form organic conversationTo be fun to listen to.A little about me, My name is John Davies I was born in Swansea, Wales but I now live in Bristol. As there are a lot of John Davies’ about I go by JD, at the time of recording this I am currently 37 years old and work as an Infrastructure Manager for a company in Bristol, UK. I have so many hobbies including but not limited to, Warhammer 40,000 collection & painting, video creation and editing, Horror films, playing music, powerlifting and 3D printing to mention but a few. I am new to the podcasting world but for many years I have run my own YouTube channels, JD Quad, JD Quad Vlogs, JDs Retro Gaming and my band’s channel Death Pigeon. Ill try and include some links. Now that the introduction is over let me give you a run down on the next few episodes. On one of my channels mentioned earlier (JD Quad Vlogs) I started a new segment called ‘A friendly chat with mates’ where I would just openly talk with my friends, and see how the conversation evolves naturally over time. Some of these conversations are very sweary so consider this an advanced warning. As were on the subject its also worth mentioning the audio from the older conversations is quite bad as they were recorded using an older DSLR camera and a battered GoPro session camera, both, without an external microphone, I’ve enhanced the audio and removed as much background noise as I can do but its still far from great. I will of course explain this again before these upcoming episodes.== Links ==JD Quad - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPZn10m831tyAY55LIrXYYwJD Quad Vlogs - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv-Y1ObAqiGT0XE8gWLuxHgJDS Retro Gaming - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcPvFyxul8dLvdLAVmjKsnADeath Pigeon - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQV5czNEn9iCdowofdJQwDQSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/a-friendly-conversation.
