In this solo episode, I reflect on what it was like growing up in the 90s and how that upbringing shaped us into the men and fathers we are today.
We came from a time where discipline, accountability, and respect weren’t optional they were expected. But at the same time, not everything about that era was perfect. Many of us grew up without the emotional support or communication we needed.
Now as parents, we’re trying to do better… but in some cases, we may have overcorrected.
With the rise of gentle parenting, more parents are leading with empathy and understanding but sometimes that can turn into a lack of structure, boundaries, and accountability.
