Starting in 2010, Register opened his restaurant and quickly began experimenting with his old family traditions. That lead to designing his own smoker and adding his own spin to classic southern sides and dishes. Register's skill has opened up doors to catering some pretty big events.Restaurant hours are Thursdays and Fridays only, with doors opening at 11:30 AM sharp. Pre-orders on ribs are recommended (with at least 24 hours notice).

Sean Lilly Wilson, founder and owner of Fullsteam, joined 919 Vice to discuss the decision to leave their original space on Rigsbee Avenue after more than a decade of being an anchor to a developing area of Durham. The new 9,000-square-foot taproom and restaurant at the base of the iconic Lucky Strike smokestack will be the central piece to the brewery's next chapter.

It's a traditional German celebration beer that has limited availability in the States but can found in the area thanks to Freedom Beverage.
