will tread upon I have given you,

as I said to Moses.」　　Amen.

　Today we begin the Book of Joshua. The charismatic leader Moses was called to heaven, and his successor, Joshua, was appointed. This marks the beginning of a new era in the land of Canaan. As God had promised to Moses, He also promised Joshua, “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you,” Joshua is a type of Jesus, who leads the people to the promised land. The Hebrew name Joshua is the Greek name Jesus.

　May we continue to walk in the path of the Lord's promise today...
