「And of Levi he said:

　"Let Your Thummim and Your Urim be with Your holy one,

　Whom You tested at Massah,

　And with whom You contended at the waters of Meribah,」　Amen.

　Here, the blessings that Moses, the man of God, bestowed upon each tribe at the time of his death are recorded. Jacob also prophesied in Genesis 49. However, there is no mention of the tribe of Simeon here, and the reason for this is unclear. There is also a theory that it was eventually absorbed into the tribe of Judah. In Jacob's time, it was prophesied that they would be cursed, but here, they are spoken of with abundant blessings. The mistakes of their youth are gradually sanctified and begin to shine.
