   The title says: 'when he fled from Saul into the cave. l'. Saul was a king, so he had the country's army and weapons at his disposal. David was a young man at that time, so there were only a few people who adored David. It was perfectly obvious that the advantage lay with Saul. The choice was surrender or flight, but what David chose was prayer to God.

May we pray today, too, a prayer of trust in the Lord...
