「Cast your burden on the Lord,

　And He shall sustain you;

　He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.」　Amen.

  We all have burdens,- some are big, others small. Sometimes they are very heavy or involve unbearable pain. What we do in such situations is escape or patience. But here we are told to surrender to the Lord. What happens as a result of entrusting is that the Lord sustains us, and the promise that we will not be shaken awaits us. To surrender means to cast all burdens to God. Nothing remains in our hands.

Today, too, may we surrender everything to God.
