For all embedded enthusiasts out there
I really enjoy the discussions about embedded systems. Elecia and Chris are super engaging and entertaining.
Always time for empanadas
Yay! An embedded podcast!
I’ve listened to other technical podcasts, but this one has really kept my interest. Elicia and Chris do a great job of discussing both software and hardware, and they do it in a really fun way. Its also technical enough that I’m always wanting to go to the show notes to get more details on the projects they discussed or that new micro I never heard of. They interview some awesome people as well who seem to do some amazing things. Thanks for the great podcast you two. It makes my commute to work and dishwashing after dinner more enjoyable. :)

Never knew engineering was so much fun...
I love the variety of topics selected and guests interviewed on Embedded. It's consistently engaging for someone like me (a non-engineer, but someone who always appreciates a well-designed system). It's obvious that lots of thought is put into researching, editing, and generally producing a top-notch podcast. Well worth a listen!!!

Immensely Entertaining
If you are even just a little bit of a geek. If you ever wonder how that little gadget, toy, or electric thing-a-ma-bob works. If you have ever thought, "Why didn't I study Electrical Engineering instead of Political Science?" If any of these apply to you, then this is the show for you. Elecia and Christopher interview guests (most of the time) who work in the electronic engineering field (usually - once Elicia interviewed a cat whom I imagine is in the rodent removal field) and ask short-answer questions that they don't comment on (never) during the lightning round. Elicia concludes with a thought provoking final thought from well known authors. Between the lightning round and the final thought you will be immensely entertained as you learn how the embedded systems all around you work and the thought processes that go into developing them. Your future self will thank you for listening. (I am ashamed to confess how long I listened to the April Fool's cat interview before I realized it was an April Fools's show. In my defense, I was catching up at that point and it was late June.)

Awesome podcast, great guests
As a someone with a hobby-level interest in embedded development, this is one of my favorite resources. Elecia and Chris are fun and engaging and cover a wide range of topics, either by themselves or with their guests. Even with topics that are way over my head, I always come away having learned things and with new topics to research on my own. Luckily, I still have many older episodes to catch up on!

Always fun and I learn a lot!
This is one of the podcasts I look most forward to. I'm not an embedded software person, but I find it fascinating to hear about all the aspects of engineering for constrained, interesting environments.

Informative and entertaining
Not all podcasts addressing interesting topics do so in a way that you actually want to listen to them. Elecia and Chris are generally bright and entertaining and (usually) know when to talk and when to shut up. They also get some great guests that I would otherwise have never heard of.

Fantastic show!
Always interesting, great variation in topics covering all sorts of software and hardware things, and great guests too!

Great show - learning and laughter join forces.
Just what I needed for some depth of knowledge (which I utterly lack). Great recording quality - great questions for interviews. And wow - what a beautiful voice Chris.

fun to listen to
I enjoy the guests intense appreciation of things digital and how it energizes them. I also have an interest in small computers and am glad there's a podcast out there that touches on that topic. Thanks.

Lots of great content and guests.
This is a great podcast to learn about the experiences, techniques, and tools used by other engineers to make really interesting products. The show is geared towards a wide audience, not just engineers.

Informative AND Fun/Entertaining
It can be daunting to break into embedded systems without formal training or experience, but Elecia White makes the topic very approachable. You could almost listen to the podcast just for entertainment, but incredibly, there's a lot of great technical/professional content too. It's a nice way to stay engaged and up to speed in the world of embedded systems without feeling like you're doing homework. Thank you Elecia and Christopher!

If you're an embedded engineer, you need this
I learn a ton of new info every time I listen to this podcast, and I await each new one with anticipation. The selection of guests is masterful, and virtually guarantees that there will be discussion of things of which I had no awareness but that could be incredibly useful. I particularly enjoyed the Electric Imp episodes (forgive me, I'm not going to figure out which numbers those are, but you should be able to find them yourself).

Very enjoyable and inspiring podcast
I started listening to this podcast as a web developer curious about things like the Arduino. This podcast has inspired me to do more things than I would have otherwise. The hosts have great, warm personalities that draw out great conversations from most guests. Highly recommend for people interested in electronics.

My new favorite podcast.
Just found this podcast and am now working my way back through the archives. Elecia and Christopher bring such a lovely conversational tone and a lightness to these very technical discussions. Their enthusiasm is totally contagious and they manage to weave in anecdotes, jokes, and opinionated commentary that deepen the conversation without diverting it from the subject. I can’t wait to share this with my students. Please never stop making this podcast.

Smart, Directed, Enthusiastic
Now that I've listened to all of the episodes I feel qualified to provide a rating. Actually I skipped parts of 3 episodes, but one was an album, another was about personal finance and the last one it seemed like the guest spoke mostly marketing... Pretty high quality ratio considering the many hours of enjoyment/edification in the back catalog. Now I'm kind of sad I'm caught up and have to wait for new episodes. There are other podcasts also featuring smart people talking enthusiastically about cool stuff. But what sets Embedded apart is the Direction. Elicia obviously has a "master plan" for each episode, but she enforces it gently, allowing useful and/or interesting digressions. Christopher's co-hosting of the later episodes provides additional depth, with two different perspectives/voices on the host side of the mic. Keep it up guys, at least as long as it's fun! :)

Great Podcast
I came over from the Amp Hour Podcast and glad I did. Look forward to each week's episode. I like it a better than the Amp Hour, just done tell Chris C. and Dave J.

It’s Like NPR for Geeks
I’m an electrical engineer who also branches out into software and mechanical stuff. I found about Embedded through the Amp Hour podcast. Embedded is interesting, entertaining and educational, and I listen to it every week. I like most of the interview guests, and the episodes with just Elecia and Chris make me feel like I’m sitting around the dinner table chatting with my imaginary geeky friends. Well, Chris claims that he and Elecia are real, but I haven’t met them yet. :)

Multimeters and C Keywords have never been more exciting
As a student in a computer science department I love to get to learn about all the electrical engineering and low-level programming that goes into all the gadgets and systems that surround us. I also enjoy the glimpses into the world of professional embedded software engineering. Most of all though, Elecia and all her interviewees share an incredibly infectious passion for the work they do and you can't help but get excited about whatever they are discussing, whether it is on-topic or not.

Excellent technical podcast
There are only a few technical podcasts on Electronics and embedded systems so I was excited to find this one. Elicia is a very good interviewer and reminds me of Terry Gross from fresh air( mean this as a compliment ). Keep up the good work !

Awesome Podcast on Embedded Systems!
Being an embedded software engineer myself, I really enjoy these podcasts. I've listened to several of these shows already and am working my way through all of them. The host Elecia White and her guests share valuable and entertaining info on creating embedded systems. This can be useful in your work or for your own experimentation on your own time. Episode 9 has an excellent explanation on inertial systems such as accelerometers and gyroscopes.
