60 Second Stories

Ashly McHatton
Everyone has a story to tell. But not everyone knows how to tell a good story. Having a clear message communicates information. Sharing it with a story gives it meaning and makes you memorable. In a crowded digital world, what is standing out was simply about sharing information in a way we are wired to understand- story. This podcast shares short stories to show you how effective stories can be.Side effects include: growing your brand, standing out, more effective communication skills, and the pure delight of a well-told story.

E1- Welcome
First dates are hard. First episodes are like first dates. Pressure to show up as your best. A shiny representative of your furniture self, your potential self. On dates, and job interviews we craft stories about ourselves. Sure we may rearrange the facts to fit the narrative we are trying to tell, but at our best it allows people to see us, to get to know us, and it creates a bridge where we may get to know them. This podcast is designed to help you find and tell your own stories through hearing some of mine, and some of yours as well. By learning how to tell stories, good stories, you’ll also learn how to create a clear message, engage your audience, and build a personal brand that has an impact not only in your business but in your life. These episodes are will be short. Sometimes I’ll tell stories of mine. Sometimes one of yours, and sometimes teach you elements of story, messaging, and personal branding. I think the best way to learn is by doing. The next best way, I think, is through examples. And that’s my hope for this podcast. And like dating, together we will see where it goes and how it evolves. Welcome to 60 Second Stories.
