5 Years Time

This week Darcy and Harry are joined by the wonderful Georgia Cecile. Scottish born Jazz-singer Georgia shares in the episode the details of the amazing year she just had, including, releasing her debut album, performing at The legendary Ronnie Scott’s, performing as the opening act for Gregory Porter at The Royal Albert Hall and winning Best Album at the Scottish Jazz Awards. Within the episode Georgia also talks openly about the numerous hurdles she has faced in the music industry and her advice to have ‘bulletproof self-belief.’

Joining Darcy and Harry on this week’s episode is Mark Taylor. The duo chatted to first-time author Mark Taylor, who has recently published the first instalment of his children’s book collection, ‘Howard of Pawsland’. Within the episode Mark bravely opens up about the struggles he faced which led to an all time low and subsequent breakdown. He also describes how the unconditional love of his dog Howard ‘saved his life’ and why he had to write a book about his furry friend.

On this weeks episode Darcy and Harry are delighted to welcome Georgina Castle. West-end superstar Georgina, who is currently starring in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s brand new musical, Cinderella, chats candidly in the episode about the highs and lows she has faced so far in her career. She talks passionately about her love of the arts and explains the best piece of advice she was ever given to ‘keep her powder dry’… On top of all this, her kind and bubbly personality shines through as she shares her experiences and advice to ‘making it’ in one of the toughest industries.

Welcome back! Darcy and Harry are thrilled to start Season 3 with Leon Campbell!Everybody loves Channel 4’s popular Friday night hit Gogglebox and executive producer Leon is no stranger to working in TV having previously worked on shows such as Big Brother and The X-Factor. Within this episode, Leon describes his journey throughout his career, shares his three top skills that make a good producer and reveals how he deals with the struggles that come with a creative job. As well as all this, Leon also talks about his other projects including The Presenter Studio and presenting on Riverside Radio and what it was like to be a producer for the Olympics opening ceremony!

To finish Season 2, Darcy and Harry welcome band Out At Sea for the final episode. Forming in late 2019, friends Matt, Mark, Ben and Nick, who all trained in musical theatre, came together to create Out At Sea. The checky chappies, who at the beginning of their music career have already written a number of catchy tunes, throughout the episode never fail to highlight their enthusiasm, optimism and sheer enjoyment for the exciting journey they have embarked on. Joining Darcy and Harry on this weeks episode is Inci Mehmet. Inci decided at the age of 8 she wanted to be a professional golfer. Whilst chasing this dream for the last 15 years, Inci has hit impressive heights at such a young age, had some struggles along the way and more recently decided to follow a new path into the world of media. Within the episode Inci discusses the difficult yet exciting decision she made to transition from professional golfer to Sky Sports presenter, talks spending time with Tiger Woods, highlights her driven attitude and shares an interesting song choice.

On this weeks episode Darcy and Harry are delighted to welcome Zanna Van Dijk. Zanna, who featured on this years Forbes 30 Under 30 list, started her professional career as a personal trainer whilst documenting and sharing many aspects of her life on (at the time) the new and intriguing world of social media. As Zanna’s following began to grow her career transitioned into a social media content creator working for amazing worldwide brands such as Adidas as well as opening new doors for her leading Zanna to write her book ‘Stronger’ and create her company Stay Wild Swim. Zanna chats all this and more within the episode. 

Darcy and Harry are back, joined on this weeks episode by Rachel Gold. Fashion stylist Rachel who began her career as a singer in one of Holland’s biggest girl groups, Luv, transitioned her way into the fashion industry early on. Since then she has been working as a fashion stylist to the stars including Jo Wiley, James Martin and Lewis Hamilton. Rachel offers great insight into life as a fashion stylist within the episode as well as sharing positive and motivational advice. 

This week Darcy and Harry are joined by the wonderful Alice Theobald. Alice has built a hugely successful career as a hair and beauty artist to the stars, working with names such as Lindsey Lohan and Princess Beatrice and having her work featured in numerous titles including Vogue China. Throughout the episode Alice’s infectious energy and love for her craft shines through as she discusses not only the highlights of her career but also the challenges she has faced including the doubts some had about her career choice and how she strived and achieved it anyway.

Darcy and Harry are pleased to welcome Frank McWeeny on this weeks episode. As an Audio Producer & Studio Director for the BBC, DJ, radio presenter on Whynow Radio and lecturer at Point Blank Music School, Frank keeps himself busy! In the episode Frank shares a candid insight into the hurdles he’s faced to find his way in an industry he had dreamed to be a part of for most of his life as well as describing some of the amazing moments that have made it all worth it.
