Breath Awareness
Being aware of your breath and noticing how it flows throughout your body allows your nervous system to take a break and calm down from the everyday stressors of life.  Take a few moments to focus on your in breath and your out breath.  Noticing your breath and how it completely relaxes your body and calms your mind.  It is physiologically impossible to be anxious or stressed when you are breathing deeply and focused on your breath, so give yourself this gift whenever you are stressed.  The more you can stop and tune into your breathing, the more you will make this a habit which will help you whenever you find yourself stressed, nervous, or anxious in anyway.   Music:  Yoga Song (Mixkit)

The Bee Breath
The Bee Breath (also known as Brahmari in yoga) is a breathing technique that resonates throughout your body as we create a humming sound on exhalation. This encourages long, slow breathing from the diaphragm and creates vibration throughout the body. This relaxes the nervous system, calms the adrenals and gives us an overall sense of well-being. #breathing #beebreath #meditation #vibration #calming #relaxation *music by musicofwisdom.com

The State of Non-Doing
When we let go and allow ourselves to just β€œbe” we may think we are accomplishing nothing but yet the opposite is true. Imagine if we could do nothing and arrive exactly where we want to be. How would this truth change what you did each day or how you lived your life? In this meditation, let your thinking mind go and drop yourself into an awake and aware state of non-doing.

Moon Breath for Deep Sleep
Breathing in fully and deeply relaxes us, calms us and gives us the life energy we need to survive.  We take in, on average, between 18,000 and 20,000 breaths each day and over 5,000 gallons of air!!  Our lungs have the capacity to hold up to 2 pints of air and yet most people breathe in 1 pint or less.  When we breathe in, our body immediately distributes this oxygen to every cell in our body.  Breathing in through our left nostril is considered a lunar, or moon breath, which slows down our metabolism, calms down our nervous system and helps us relax.  This meditation is best done when you want to fall asleep or when you are feeling restless and can't quite drift off to sleep.  As with all of the 5-Minute Meditations, we start with deep breathing in and out through the nose, but with this one, we will also introduce the first part of the calming moon breath to help us relax and get our bodies ready for deep sleep.   For more, please visit me at www.jeanninemcglade.com and check out how I can help you on your meditation, yoga, and self-care journey! πŸ™πŸ½
