Welcome to the class that will ruin your favorite history documentaries. If you signed up expecting a polite, sanitized tour of American exceptionalism, a silver platter of cheap political "hope," or a celebration of immaculate marble monuments, you are in the wrong room. You are better off dropping before the add/drop deadline. This course is not a bedtime story. It is a brutal, unsparing autopsy of the American social contract. Over the next two semesters, we are going to grab a shovel, dig up the foundation of the dirt we are standing on, and look at exactly how this empire engineered its staggering wealth through raw violence, geography, and political maneuvering that would make your grandmother look twice at you.We will trace the bloody transaction lines of American history—from the moments imperial powers traded stolen land like cheap property, to the religious delusions of Manifest Destiny that corporate lawyers and politicians used to weaponize the map. We will stand on the borders of proxy wars, watch the nation tear itself apart, and dissect the agonizing aftermath of a Civil War where freedom was written beautifully on parchment—only for the empire to completely lose its nerve when it came time to actually enforce it.We will expose the loopholes, the judicial executioners who murdered civil rights from the comfort of the Supreme Court bench, and the cynical compromises that left half the population out of the democratic equation because the architects of freedom decided to half-ass the job.By the time the final bell rings, American history will leave a sour taste in your mouth. But you will leave this room possessing something far better than comfort: a dark, gritty, and uncompromising faith in your own power, an understanding of your true birthright, and the tools to defend those around you like kin against those who work forces while burning crosses. You can find my Spreaker page HERE.  Now, lets start class!
