365 Albums of 2021 - Ep 6 - Motown
On the sixth episode of the second season of the 365 Albums of 2021 host @tempiwmf and @hiddanas gather to renew their mission of listening to, on average, one album per day for the entirety of 2021. This week's Theme is Motown. We thoroughly enjoyed this episode's theme as we got to take a deep dive into one of the greatest record labels ever. A staple of black socity Motown Records was the foundation of culture change, growth, and success in America. It would give opportunity to artist like Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops, and more. An organization that would stretch from Stevie Wonder to Boyz 2 Men. Additionally, using our theme of the week, we select our artist by budget to see which vinyls we'd select. Per usual we finish the show with our top 5 albums of the week.
