The layout just seems like this is a child conducting an interview or trying to explain what is going on. It would be better to have these set up like dateline or 48 hours. The person of these is Ryan (I believe). Lord, the dumb questions he is asking. A detective getting teary eyed over a horrific murder in deforest, WI. The gentleman says “I see this is bringing up a lot of emotions”. “Can you tell me about that?” (Not word for word, but you get the picture). The detective was like WTH kind of dumb question is that? I thought wth is doing these interviews?? Horrible! I hear a lot of times, the interviewer asking the dumbest questions to the cops
“So that means he’s a suspect?” ETC. please enough with the questions that we all know. You are just making yourself sound dumb. It’s embarrassing.

Get new stuff
You need some NEW stories! Are we really at the point where you are just regurgitating OLD stuff?! Come on! Do better!!

Are your commentators dumb?
I really don’t understand why your commentators continue to ask rude and invasive questions of victims families. You know that they’re suffering and they’re their heartbroken but the reporters ask, “What’s the last thing if you could talk to them again? What would you say to them?”. Really? Have you never lost anyone before? You guys make me sick.

No translations
Because they are just uploading the audio from the actual tv show they never add translations when interviewing someone in a different language. I’m sure it’s on the tv show but a little more effort there would be nice

Separate After The Show Show to another Podcast
I am not. fan of hearing the notes and chatty updates. Seems there are more of those than stories. I just like to listen to the stories.

Disjointed
Please make the multiple-episode shows at least their own folder. I would prefer to binge them, but if you’re going to release them ine by one at least put them under a
Separate umbrella so we don’t have to figure out which episode we are on or which ones we have or have not listened to.
It’s exhausting and other shows have this already managed.

Good but…
The more I listen to The 20/20 after show the less I think Deborah Roberts is best to host. The questions she asks seem suggest she has not actually been listening to what the other participants have said.

Repetitive!!
It’s very annoying to listen to your shows because of the constant repeating of information that you shared earlier in the episode. As a result, the story is not told in a chronological manner!

General thoughts
I understand using original footage like body cam and police interrogations in the show. It’s dynamic, it’s raw, it’s honest. But it’s gotten out of control. There’s just minutes of 911 calls or interrogations or body cam where it’s hard to hear, it’s loud as hell, and then it’s edited to cut an interviewee to clarify minutes or footage, but not in a way where they say maybe a sentence and it cuts back to chaos. It’s just not great listening and adds very little. Again I get using it, important, sure. But some selectivity would be … really appreciated.

Repetitive
These podcast versions of this show reveal how slow and repetitive they are.

Umm…comprendo español un pocito…
When your episodes interview people who speak Spanish only, use a translator after they speak or at least give the summary. Cultural diversity and learning other languages is great and all but those of us who only speak English and maybe took Spanish in high school would like to know what that poor mother is saying about her beautiful daughter who was murdered. It’s quite disrespectful to those people you interview when you don’t share their message with the majority of your audience. You are a podcast based in a country in which English is the official language, and most of your listeners speak English, correct? It’s fine if you want to grow your audience but just be careful that you don’t alienate your base. Know your audience people…

PLEASE!!
Stop with the background sounds! The story is enough, you don’t need to add ‘dramatic’ sounds to make it better. You’re not, it’s just annoying..

Newsflash!
Contrary to what was stated on this episode regarding identifying remains, the pelvis is the most reliable indicator for determining sex- not determining “sex assigned at birth.” Science is real and pelvic bones tell the story and sex is not “assigned.”

Is REAL Journalism dying?
I’m an OG watcher of 20/20 and I think the team is the best in the business! You expose/report crimes. So, I’m wondering how can you all be ignoring the biggest crime to your profession? The persecution of Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell by the South Carolina “justice” system? Do you care about the truth and justice?

Music and sound issues
Great podcast, but I had to skip an interesting episode because of the vibrations and loud bass constantly going on. Less music would be so much better.

Dial M for Murder
The only thing I will say bad was that I had to translate for an English only speaker while listening to the Spanish speaking parts.

Dial M for Missing
Do you realize that the majority of the second half of the show was just in Spanish. It’s fine if it’s on TV and you have subtitles BUT it is not fine when it’s a podcast and no one interprets the language into English. Not fun to listen to a podcast in Spanish

Dial M for Murder
Do the producers listen to the podcasts? The music was so load I couldn’t hear some of the script. I couldn’t finish listening to this episode

Dial Spanish for missing
Dial M for missing/Peter Chadwick is the specific episode I’m reviewing. I realize you converted a TV episode, where you can use subtitles, to a podcast episode where you can’t. There was a lot of Spanish spoken and none of it was translated. Disappointing. I missed a lot of this fascinating story.

Dial M for missing
Interesting case. Unfortunately about a third of this podcast is in untranslated Spanish. I assume the Dosnish had subtitles in the film version but this is a podcast. Some accommodation should have been made. Very disappointing

How very sad
Total 5 Star! An absolutely heartbreaking story and how eerily similar to the Nancy Guthrie disappearance. I have to wonder if officials have used the geo-fencing in the Guthrie case!!!! This story was very well done.

I heard from other podcasts that he committed suicide in jail. The DNA was under the fingernails of the killer she helped solve her own murder
The confessions were coerced by the police. Other wise good interview with the prosecutor

Get organized
I tried listening to a few different podcasts on this site. It’s a total pain to locate the next episode when they aren’t grouped together. I listen to audiobooks and podcasts almost every day. I’m not new at this! Navigating your site isn’t worth the challenge.

The Murder at the U
This series is terrible. The show is essentially accusing someone of murder that happened years ago and it seems like there is zero evidence to support this. What kind of nonsense is this?! Less likely to listen to this garbage podcast. Do better.

A lot of Repeats and New Cheesy Series
I’ve noticed that there have been a lot of repeats over the past year. The new Murder at the U sports series is so cheesy, it’s terrible! Reporting and execution of this series is so amateur, same goes for the post mortem shows.
Regency Era
“Everybody’s a Suspect” episode
I can accept when a "citizen journalist" makes themselves part of a story. However, the same does not apply to "journalists" working for legacy media outlets; it simply comes across as tacky.

Stop featuring Beth Karas!
Audio issues. Music is too loud and often overwhelms speech. I wish they’d stop featuring Beth Karas on episodes. That woman sounds just like Kermit the Frog.

Escape From a House of Horror
Oh, not even sure if I could put my feelings into words. Listening to these resilient, brave, strong, wise, intelligent, amazing people makes you put life into perspective and realize that even in our hardest of times, some challenges come nothing close to theirs and look at them shining brighter than the sun and being inspiring examples to all of us to have more gratitude and forgiveness

I really love that I’m able to go back & listen to them. It makes my work shift go by quickly . Been a fan since forever

Please fix the volume levels on the vault episodes
The new episodes are fine, but the True Crime Vault episodes are at a significantly lower volume than the ads. It’s jarring when it cuts to an add and blasts into my ears.

Her last note
Just because she’s dead, doesn’t mean we have to talk about her like she is a great singer. We all heard it. She’s really not good. And her father telling the killer he loved him in court. This is what’s wrong with our country the soft parents that haven’t taught their children to defend themselves shame on you, Dad.
salmon Salmon!
Love it! But..
Can you regulate volume of adds? Waaay to loud compared to podcast.. hard for ears with buds

Background music
Agree the background music makes the voice audio (which is often not greatest)harder to hear

Music needs to be toned down
I am going to have to agree with others that the music is overriding the actual audio of the podcast. I can barely hear the narration unless my headphones are up past the point of my comfort level. Disappointing because I end up shutting it off & turning to another podcast.

Bad Romance
So cheesy, so amateurish, so boring

Music ruins the podcast
I really want to hear the story about what happened to Kelsi but whoever added the music and cut the podcast should reconsider how they do things imo. I just can't listen to the story anymore unfortunately. They constantly repeat the same info over and over and mix in new info then repeat the same info again at times. This is a short podcast so I promise you we haven't forgotten what was said 3 minutes ago and do not need to hear it again. But music is what really what makes it so frustrating to listen to. The music is louder than the vocals making it so annoying. Please rerelease this story without the music or turn the music WAY WAY down (just remove it completely please). People should be able to listen to this story to spread the word so please please please rerelease this without the music!
I will also add that the volume of the ads in some episodes are ridiculously loud compared to the volume of the podcast itself. I will try back at a later date to see if 20/20 has made corrections and if so I will gladly continue listening. However, if the music is as loud and rediculous as it is in the Kelli episodes or if the ad volume is still much louder than the podcast I will move on to another show. There are so many good podcasts out there that losing one to volume issues is fine imo

Please stop with the music.
So annoying and not necessary.

All episodes BAD SOUND EDITING!! FIX IT!!
Fix the sound issues!!!! Volume up for show and then get blasted by ads.
HORRIBLE sound editing
Please fix the ad volume
It’s so distracting to have to adjust the volume up and down due to how loud the ads are. This must be a known issue.
Apple TV Remote
Solid stories but the music drowns out the interviews or narrators.
I’ve listen to over 700 true crime podcasts. Please consider how the music drowns out the story.

Begging!
PLEASE adjust the ad volume. I’ll be just about to fall asleep then the loudest advertisement comes screaming in my ear. Almost unlistenable.

Loud
Background noise is to noisy

Stick with true crime
Junk fiction that isn’t close to the category you have it in
Stupid fiction
Commercials Too Loud
I thought 20/20 had fixed the very loud commercials issue. I am unsubscribing again since I need to protect my hearing from this relentless noise.

Terrible editing
Such terrible editing - over produced and distracting. Constant background music that doesn’t even match the story is so ridiculous and makes it unlistenable.

Ads are painfully loud
The show itself is pretty quiet so you have to turn it up but then are subjected to ads so loud you have to pull your ear buds out due to physical ear pain. This should be illegal having the ads so loud.
podboco302
Awful editing and LOUD ads
The ads are enough to make me never want to listen again. Jarringly loud compared to the podcast.
