On behalf of the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and the American Institute of Physics (AIP) Corporate Associates, welcome the ICTP/AIP Industrial Physics Forum on "Capacity Building for Industrial Physics in Developing and Emerging Economies". This Industrial Physics Forum (IPF), is part of an annual series of IPFs run by AIP's Industrial Outreach Program, the goal of which is to build bridges between the industrial and academic physics communities in order to expose each to needs and capabilities of the other, but with particular focus on the technical and workforce needs of industry.
