TMM028: The Power of Masterminds and Habits
How can masterminds and habits exactly help accelerate your business? In this episode, Ronan Leonard aka “The Mastermind Guy” breaks down all the nuts and bolts – from the concept of masterminds to the keys in establishing your own successful mastermind groups. First things first: masterminds – what are they? How many people do you need to form an effective group? How frequent should you meet? How do you effectively qualify the people who wants to join you? What if you like being a lone wolf? We’ve discussed all the answers to these and more. Plus, you’ll be treated to an insightful conversation about habits and their power to directly impact your business now.   Watch the interview on YouTube   Ronan Who? Ronan Leonard was just 23 when he found himself in a sinking cruise ship off the wild coast of South Africa. This didn’t discourage him from moving forward and he proceeded to build a successful cruise ship career for 9 years after the incident. He grew his first casino party company business from just 2 casino tables to running the largest gaming events company in Australia. That was then. Now, Ronan has a business connecting small business owners to support groups through the innovative concept of virtual masterminds, which he is passionate about. He believes we’ve lost our connection to a “tribe“ –  a community that will help you solve your problems and accelerate your learning, and that there is more value in making real peer-to-peer connections than paying external contractors who have no vested interest in your success.   “99% of your business problems already been solved. You just need the right people to connect to that can help you.” -Ronan Leonard ( Click to Tweet )     Timestamp: [02:20]  Why he’s passionate about connecting people through masterminds [08:22] Optimal size of a mastermind group [10:07] Getting personal in masterminds – is it important? TMM026: How Andy Burgess Met Gary Vaynerchuk
Would you like to meet Gary Vaynerchuk? 🙋 I would. In this episode, Andy Burgess leaves clues on how he did just that. In 2017, he created a story everyday. That’s 365 stories that are edited in high production vertical style.  This later led him to meet the legendary man himself Gary Vee. What did I discovered… * Andy is a talented filmmaker and editor. That’s easy to see very quickly. (I struggle with adding a subtitle. 😂) * He’s passionate about it and truly creative. Andy loves waking up and creating. There’s nothing else he’d rather be doing. * Andy does it everyday and so he keeps honing his craft. Leaving others in the dust. * He’s authentic and you can tell that by watching his stories. Because of his genuineness, people can relate to him. Listen to the podcast as we take a closer look at a Snapchat and Instagram practitioner! Watch the interview on YouTube Andy Who? Andy Burgess is a Snapchat and Instagram filmmaker and storyteller. A native of United Kingdom, he quit his job to move to New York City to hone his content creation skills. There, he started making cinematic Snapchat stories that soon took him to the limelight. He is currently working with big brands such as Forbes and CollegeHumor to travel around the world and document his journey. Other brands such as Samsung have worked with him to promote their products. He recently spoke in VidCon Australia and was one of the chosen ones to meet and talk to Gary Vaynerchuk. To date, he has continued to follow his passion and share his journeys with the world.   “If it’s something you really enjoy and you’re doing it, you’re gonna continue doing it.” -Andy Burgess ( Click to Tweet )     Time Stamp: [02:47] Where his idea of doing daily snaps came from [04:23] How he craft his stories [06:01] How he met Gary Vaynerchuk [08:47] How he makes a living with Snapchat [09:41] How he works with big brands in creating campaigns [14:09] His feelings on Influencer Marketing [26:35] His personal view on documenting vs creating content online [32:14] His goals this year on creating content [34:47] His thoughts on vertical film-making and how he made it work for it [40:49] His message for people who wants to grow their Instagram and/or Snapchat accounts [48:32] Where you can find Andy Burgess in social media Useful Links: Social Media Links: Andy Burgess: Snapchat >>> @andyyburgess Facebook — Instagram — LinkedIn — YouTube Please subscribe, leave a comment, share with a friend, or leave a review on iTunes. TMM025: Chatbots, Mindset, and Marketing Advice
What does it take to build a successful chatbot in less than a year? What about this Facebook investigation? We answer all these questions on this episode with another amazing chatbots builder Stephen Bradeen. Have a listen if you are a chatbot creator, marketer, or agency owner… or just planning to be one. 🙂 Apart from this, you’ll also understand the mindset, routines and practices Stephen Bradeen used that made him successful in his very first year of being an entrepreneur. He has been giving back to the community of bot builders on Facebook helping others succeed. Stephen is definitely a winner, because of how he is showing up for others.  If you’re a new entrepreneur yourself, you’ll love this episode. Watch the interview on YouTube   Stephen Who? Stephen Bradeen is a software entrepreneur who is currently the CEO and Founder of OnSpotAutomations. He left the Toronto film industry behind and took a leap of faith by joining The Foundation (Dane Maxwell and Andy Drish). I had the privilege of knowing him inside Bot Academy, a bot building school run by Andrew Warner. Since then, he has successfully skyrocketed his entrepreneurship journey through his own chatbot agency which helps businesses grow through Facebook Messenger Bots. “One of the biggest hurdles [I think] for people is stepping out of something they don’t like and stepping into something that is more like their dream is being able to feel happiness first.” -Stephen Bradeen ( Click to Tweet ) I agree with Stephen that the Facebook pause shouldn’t last too much longer. It is scary to not have control over certain aspects of your business. But, Facebook bots or automated Messenger conversations are not going away. Ultimately, more regulations will be good for bot builders. Let’s face it. It’s been like the wild wild west and some bad eggs used chatbots to spam the crap out of people. Thankfully, those bad actors have had their Messenger bots shut down (or will soon). Meanwhile, keep improving your bot copywriting skills, prospect for more clients, do more demos, etc. There’s still plenty to do in the chatbot space.   Time Stamp: [3:46] One of the biggest hurdles for people in stepping into their dream [6:01] His view on chatbots and are chatbots here to stay?
