Today's episode is a bit rough. We were experiencing some recording issues and unfortunately this was one of the casualties. We did what we could to fix it, but a lot was lost and this is the best we could get from it. Today, myself, Randy and Becky discussed some fried chicken wings that we played around with. It's nothing too crazy, but worth a try. It's a very simple recipe that we started on the smoker then ended up deep frying. The batter was very basic and the oil was nothing special. In todays episode, we pulled out the scooters and took a trip to Alvin, Tx. Based on a recommendation from the boss, we heard about this place called Smokin D's. Come to find out, this place is AMAZING. It is BBQ fused with Asian style and cuisine. Needless to say we were completely impressed by the food. From the Rice bao bun to the brisket macdilla, this place has some amazing stuff to eat. The atmosphere was chill and relaxed, the beer was cold and the staff was super helpful. I CANNOT WAIT to go back. Enjoy the episode. It is a bit time consuming if you make the dough from scratch like we did, though. We followed his recipe as close as we could, but had to change a few things due to inability to find the items. Fathers day ribs revisit.
This episode slipped by the finger tips and never got edited or added to the collection. This one is from Fathers day 2021. i know, i know, i know....it happens. IM SORRY.   We revisited our ribs episode and made the changes that we talked about and it turned out PHENOMONAL. 4 racks with 4 different bases (mustards), but we tried to keep the flavor the same so as to not screw up.
