2 Pastors 1 Calling

Welcome back friends. This week, we take on a topic that is tough for many people. It is about taking what is called a Sabbath rest. This is when we take one day a week, as God did when He created, to prepare for the next 6 days of work. Resting like God did helps us heal, be restored, and prepare us for the next week. Take a listen as we talk about how we try to rest in our chaotic world today.

This week, we discuss how we find support for ourselves and supporting those we lead. We all need support. As pastors, we need friends to help us decompress by talking and letting us be ourselves. We also must trust those around us to carry the responsibility given to us as pastors as we wear many hats throughout the day, and sometines in the same meeting.

Welcome to season 2. This season, we will look at more practical things of being a pastor, which we hope to see how God works in the ordinary life. We kick off this season with an episode about a day in the life of a pastor. We talk about whether there really is a normal day, since we can experience the highs and lows of the human experience, and how God meets us in our own highs and lows. We then discuss how our prayer lives help create the rule of life for us. ...

You see more clearly once the storm has passed. The same is when we are discerning God's Hand in our lives. This week, Pastor Chris and Fr. Brian discuss how we have understood God's Hand and guidance in our lives. Through those moments of the greatest storms, we can look back and see where God was working.

This week we discuss the different ways we have known God's presence. How He has guided us to know when God's presence is close to us. It can be tough to know the closeness of God, so we also talk about how emotions can help and hinder our discernment.

This week we discuss the greatest personal suffering that we have gone through. As pastors, we must learn from our own personal suffering to help others through theirs. We must live the cross so that we may help others carry theirs.
