Tired of the political commentary
You guys aren’t cute or funny with your political comments. If you want to talk about that topic start a different show. Nobody cares what you think in this area. Stick to tech.
Mcz16
Too much negativity and politics
Please stop with all the snide political commentary. Everything is so negative when discussing Microsoft and other big tech. Also, not everyone that listens to the show is left or right on the political spectrum. The truth is always in the middle and listeners are not coming to the show to listen to political commentary about topics that are not even tech related. If you want to discuss openly all political and cultural topics then why not start a different podcast?

Take America back
Leo needs to get interested in his own shows or move on
I’ve been listening to Windows Weekly since the beginning and still enjoy the kind of prickly nature of Paul’s coverage of Microsoft with the added element of Richard in the show but Leo honestly derails this too much these days or makes clear his interest in nothing but AI. Please, save this show, get Leo to stay focused or let Mikah take on more hosting since he’s typically interested in the actual rundown when he substitutes.

Fine minus the AI fluffing
AI can be used for better or worse, it is just a tool. Yes. But saying people’s reactions against AI are “emotional” is completely bogus. Maybe if ANY of you three did actual programming for your LIVELIHOOD and not as a freaking hobby you would feel similar existential dread at AI everywhere. As it is, you’re just some millionaire boomers with well-funded retirements, multiple homes, and cushy non-jobs telling others there’s no problems. Your retirement portfolios’ success is directly related to the success of AI at the peril of those struggling to even get a job. Y’all thinking the market’s success is an indicator of general abundance and true societal progress is absolutely asinine. “AI helped me make a ‘program’ that converted my EXIF files to jpeg! Praise be! The trillions have paid off by allowing people to create one-off non-programs that will never earn a penny. A brilliant business model!” Keep fluffing your AI overlords, homers.

Tired of the pro-AI and anti-security rants
The absolute gaslighting that Paul spouts every episode. We get it, you are an MS bootlicker, you are an AI bootlicker, and you disagree with actual security experts because you think you know better than them. Can you try to see that the things you like aren’t good? Stop peddling AI, and stop slandering legitimate experts and professionals.

Atrocious lip smacking
The content is not bad. However, the mouth noises and lip smacking drives me nuts.

A Great Windows/Microsoft Podcast
Leo, Paul and Richard do a great job covering the latest Windows and Microsoft news.

Windows Weekly
I just listened to my last Windows Weekly podcast. The shows are way too long and should be limited to no more than two hours in length. There is too much babbling about nonsensical things, too much cynacism and talk about things unrelated to Microsoft like Pixel phones and brown liquor. It's hard to beleive one of the hosts doesn't even use Windows and is a Microsoft basher. Finally there is way too much emphasis on playing games and the latest releases. I will be searching for a real Windows podcast.

Keep in it real since 2005
Nicely packaged news about the industry combined with expertise about the Windows ecosystem (and the greater PC biosphere). I miss Mary Jo, however, Richard does bring a perspective that none of the previous three host had.

Good show about Microsoft Tech & Whiskey.
Covers Microsoft Tech with a focus on Windows, but not exclusive. Leftist leaning of Host(s) comes through in each program, but is mostly ignorable. Unfortunate that none of them have experience in large development organizations, which their opinions about MSFT development, bugs, and focus make abundantly clear; but other than that (and political opinions) there is lots of useful information.

Shame on you guys
They talk about how the employees shouldn’t had stood up to the ceo for agreeing to make things that kill people, and that they should have done it another way, there is no other way. CEOs don’t listen to anything but money, certainly not their engineers. Shame on you guys for supporting the evil Microsoft is getting into.

Great Show
Love the way that Paul, Richard & Leo talk about Windows and the updates that that have come out. Pauls rants are hilarious. I wish trhat the podcast was everyday. Can't wait until Wednesday to watch them!

Weekly updates on what Microsoft’s up to
No better place to cover the consumer side of Microsoft, primarily Windows, AI, and Office with XBox thrown in. As a CIO, it’s an entertaining way to keep up with what Microsoft is up to. I have to admit I sometimes skip the XBox segment at the end of the show.

Was good, too political now
This use to be a great podcast on Microsoft and Windows developments. Paul and Leo have gotten increasingly political following the 2024 election and their one-sided views make the show increasingly intolerable.

Listener for more than 15 years
Windows Weekly is an engaging and informative podcast that covers the latest news, updates, and insights from the world of Microsoft, Windows, and related technologies. Hosts Paul Thurrott and Richard Campbell provide expert analysis with a mix of humor and historical context, making even complex topics accessible. While it caters primarily to Windows enthusiasts and IT professionals, its lively discussions and deep dives into Microsoft’s ecosystem make it a worthwhile listen for tech fans.

One of my favorite podcasts
Been listening for years, look forward to new episode each week. I'm not even a big Windows/Microsoft aficionado but that's the secret of this show - it's not one-dimensional. The winsome combination of tech and life musings keeps me coming back! Thanks Leo, Paul, and Richard (and Mary Jo)!
RockiesGuy19
This is a witty discussion on Microsoft.
They have personality and knowledge. They have fun banter and try to be politics agnostic, not always successfully but good enough.

The only source of truth for me
This podcast has been a staple of my education since the beginning of it, thousand plus episode ago. I have listened to it every week since and will continue to do so until I’m no longer breathing. Thank you, Leo, thank you Paul for your years of one-sided friendship.

Very informative
Been listening to this podcast for many years. Always find the information great. Paul and Richard make a great team.

Long time listener
I’ve been listening to Windows weekly for about 9 to 10 years. I got back into IT after about six years in another field and have used Windows weekly to stay up to speed on all the latest Microsoft news. I do miss Mary Jo, but Richard is growing on me. Windows Weekly is one of the few IT programs besides This Week in Tech that I must listen to every week.

Still the best Microsoft Podcast
Paul and Richard have been covering Microsoft longer than most and that great depth of knowledge makes a great show. Listen to them if you want to learn about things with their dry sense of humor.

Tech news for techies
I've enjoyed this show for years now, it's a great source of MS tech news for professional computer people.

Conflicted review
I've followed Leo for decades across his many shows and considered them must listen. Now I only catch WW. Since 2016 he and podcast hosts are unbearingly anti Trump and as a result they avoid anything "Musk", who is the most relevant tech personality and inventor / entrepreneur of our time. In WW, when AI is discussed , Elon is only dissed and his contributions avoid mention. It's a shame that this too has become so hateful. Louie

Doctorow is Right
Seems like Cory Doctorow’s theory is becoming universal when it comes to goods and services. I enjoyed listening to this podcast off and on for several years, as I moved back my desktop/mobile computer use back to Windows from macOS (mostly due to gaming). Mary Jo’s departure was her choice. I respected it, but that was the beginning of the end for me. I kept going, but the final straw was Mr. Thurrott’s dismissal about privacy concerns with all this hyped AI nonsense - especially pooh-poohing privacy concerns related to Windows Recall. Pretty disrespectful, if you ask me! There are valid concerns with all this AI nonsense being pushed on consumers, and a factor in making W11 worse and worse. I haven’t even started on this ad stuff. Ridiculous. If I’m a Chicken Little for being worried and fed up about Microsoft ruining an already quasi-dubious product, so be it. There are enough other podcasts to listen to, anyway. No need to listen to industry shills who disrespect daily users. Done.

A great listen
I really enjoy the show, can do without the “back of the book” part. Would love a little bit more on O365 and Microsoft 365.

Want to like it but can’t
Paul Thurrott has credibility but this podcast is far too long and rambling. It’s 2 hours but can be cut to one without much loss. Paul also seems to focus on the individual use of Windows without giving much consideration as to why Microsoft is doing things for the enterprise. Get an editor and tighten up the topics and it will be better.

Can’t get in a word
I mean if Paul can’t finish his statement/argument before Leo interrupts, it’s the Leo show. It’s like watching a debate on MSNBC. The guests or “co hosts” can’t finish what they are saying because Leo can’t allow a difference in opinion on his show. It’s so cringe. Poor Richard is just sitting in the back not saying a word as to not waste a breath to try. Wow Leo has really spiraled down. This used to be my favorite show in the network due to Paul’s whit and incites as well as the back and forth that Leo usually allowed. But if Paul can’t even talk, what’s the point. I’m done with TWiT. I will look forward to any other show that Paul T jumps on to get those long form insights. RunAs Radio is now my go to for Microsoft. Just wow, I’m so disappointed.

A good ride
It was a good ride but it’s just not the same show without Mary Jo.

Focus has changed without Mary Jo
Since bringing Richard in as the new co-host, the show spends more time on developer topics or the inside workings of Windows. I miss the 365 or enterprise topics they used to discuss. Still a worthy listen for IT but less applicable information than there used to be.

Hard No! to Richard Campbell
We’re witnessing the death of once great podcast and really, I think, of a podcast network. Welcome to old guys talking about random stuff. The worst possible choice to replace Mary Jo. This podcast was already pretty much unlistenable without Mary Jo Foley. Now it has tipped the scales entirely. Every show on Twit has become nothing but inside baseball. I don’t think they care about being interesting or on topic anymore.

Great pace and hosts usually
Love the usual cast but guests like on the recent July episode are very wishy-washy and spend 5x the time needed to explain a point.

Great podcast on Microsoft & Windows
This show is hosted by 2 of the most knowledgeable Microsoft journalists and one of the most seasoned tech podcasters in the world. I look forward to it every week.

Fun and educational
Paul and Mary Jo are so knowledgeable in the Microsoft world and their insights are so good. I’ve listened for years now and I’m always learning something useful personally and/or professionally.

Depressing Weekly
Like others have said, this show is really depressing. Leo barely pays attention, Paul rants, and Mary Jo nods. It wears. There’s not a better over-arching Microsoft podcast out there, which is also quite sad. I’ve listened for years because there’s content in the middle of all the negativity, but it’s time to move on and get my MS content elsewhere. You really have to be a masochist to stay subscribed and listening.

Most depressing show on TWIT
Every topic is created by a sigh, a complaint or an excuse about why the Windows / Microsoft world is this terrible. I can’t believe you’ve had the careers that you have, feeling so dispassionate. I don’t think we are looking for journalists to be cheerleaders, but this show is simply depressing. I wanted to broaden my knowledge of the Windows world for work but can’t do it. I’m out. I wish you happier lives.
