My favorite podcast. I’ve listened to each episode at least four times, going back to the luminary days. These hot hoes are brilliant, as are the complex women the study. I hope for new episodes in the future!

The Savannah two-parter knocked me out. So researched with honest and compassionate commentary, and their humor and friendship shine through .

Ive known Alissa for years and her talent operates on another level. She pulls from the darkest, most deeply researched corners of history and culture and surfaces details you genuinely haven’t heard before. There’s murder, glamour, sex and of course vileness, but it’s never gratuitous. It’s sharpened and delivered with precision. Listening to her with Lena feels like sitting in a room with them, tea in hand, cackling in disbelief at atrocities of some old queen or other. And at the end you’ve learned something!

Day-one obsessed. The featured women are wild, tragic, and totally unhinged, and Lena & Alissa always leave me feeling either softer toward them or perfectly justified in my disgust.

These are so good! Please make more.

I payed to listen to these back when they first came out and I’m loving them just as much the second time around. Can’t wait for the Brittany Murphy episode to drop. Also can we get another season!?!

This is the podcast that turned me into a podcast person all those years ago, and I kept my Luminary subscription for far too long just because I didn’t want to give up listening to my favorite episodes. I quote all the catchphrases to this day. I am SO HAPPY it’s getting the wider audience it always deserved. I hope if it gains momentum you’ll finally grace us with more!!

I recently rewatched Girls and fell back into my Lena Dunham obsession!! Haha so naturally, I creepily Googled her (as one does 😅) and stumbled across The C-Word. Now I feel like I’m Alissa’s BFF too, can you pass your Juul? 🤣 Y’all are fantastic! This podcast gives me the perfect mix of lighthearted laughs and perspective when I need it most…. it also reminds me that I’m not really that crazy! 🤪

I was randomly searching for Lena Dunham podcast episodes after hearing the Talk Easy interview and found out that one of the most interesting podcasts with the most talented hosts was back at it. Absolutely made my night! Welcome back, ladies! Looking forward to more phenomenal content 🍾

Smart and funny. I’ve always been a big Lena Dunham fan and this doesn’t disappoint. Lena unpacks some of the negative attention she’s received which I must have ignored. I remember her getting some heat at the height of callout culture for something dumb, but that’s it. Alissa Bennett does a great job, too.

These two are charming, hilarious, and I learned a ton. The show is well researched and gives all these people respect and context. Sending to everyone I know!
