I’ve listened to your stories and realized how connected we are in experiences and struggles. Living Single gave me hope and things to aspire to. I was raised in a by a protective single mom and as a result had no real “world” experience. I was a sharp edged square then and now the edges are a bit more rounded. Living Single then and now has helped me navigate challenging waters. The resilience of the women and the protectiveness of the brothers has encouraged me to no end. Thank you for the sacrifices made to tell your stories. You helped me through the death of my husband as I have fought to reinvent myself. I’ll be finishing up my Doctor of Ministry degree this year and in large part because of the courage of Yvette Lee Bowers and the masterful way she presented the show. Mrs. Bowers showed me that anything is possible if we put the work in. The cast was brilliant and I’m so grateful! Thank you so much!

Living Single is my comfort show. Have watched all episode multiple times. Just discovered this podcast and it’s just the best thing ever to hear them talk about behind the scenes and bring on guests! Also, love the laughter!

I watch and listen to the podcast. This has been wonderful rewatching Living Single.

Love listening to this podcast and even watching the episode on YouTube in the background while I’m cleaning or whatever it’s fun and this is my all-time favorite show. I feel like I looked up to Kyle’s character so much as a kid and LOVED Max. I love the conversations. I love everything about this show however it seems like Erika. The last few episodes has been getting grumpier and grumpier and throwing little unnecessary jabs at Kim. Kim is always so sweet and I feel like she does her best to either. Ignore it or try to pacify Erika by overexplaining or taking it with a grain of salt, but it is honestly getting difficult to continue listening and watching can be bullied by Erika, I always loved how assertive and intelligent she is, but I feel like she tends to put him down a lot and use her intelligence as a guise for saying hurtful things or making Kim uncomfortable. This last episode with TC, there is a whole few minutes where Erika just lays in on Kim and Kim is left trying to overexplain herself as TC watches on uncomfortably. At one point, he even asked the producers for a bucket of popcorn, joking, to ease the tension. Again, I love the show so I hope they work out whatever they have going on behind the scenes soon because it is definitely starting to show in the broadcast

I watched in real time and it great to go back through the shows to give the fans a behind the scenes and more. I remember when Martin /Living Single were on Sundays then moved to Thursday in the 90s. This show has always been timeless. Keep up the good work!

Erika and Kim are officially my favorite AUNTIES. I was born in ‘96 so What I mostly appreciate about the show is binge watching all the LS episodes then coming here to rewatch and learn about what was going on behind the scenes during the time of the show. I also love the exclusive juiciness, the advice, emotional moments, and straight up laughter that Erika and Kim naturally give. Can’t wait to see the entire cast eventually in the pod. I will continue embracing this pivotal full circle moment and deep connection to black culture

I grew up to these ladies and watch every EP of living single and everything awesome to see that they have a PC. Can’t wait for them to redo the show Living Single.

I actually follow Erika on Instagram, so I saw her talking about the podcast and immediately started watching it on YouTube. It’s one of my favorite shows ever. Can watch over and over. Being able to relive it and hear all these BTS stories and see their guest stars come on and speak to their experiences, as well… it’s almost like a little dose of therapy. I hope this show gets to the last season and we get to see all the co-stars come on, even if only through video. This truly makes me wish we got more of these rewatch podcasts of classic black shows. I would be sat down for each one! ❤️

I accidentally found this podcast when I was looking for something new to listen to and I got so excited. I was there every Thursday watching Living Single. I love hearing you guys talk about your time on the show and that time in history. Thank you for doing this!

I was on YouTube and came across this podcast that mentioned the backstory of the show. Of course, I wanted to dig deeper. I think the first time I discovered Living Single was back when I was in middle school (around ’95–’99). I loved it, but I always felt like I couldn’t catch the new episodes on time. Now I plan to binge every season once I find it—mostly because this time, I’ll be watching it with a whole different perspective. Maxine Shaw was one of my favorite characters because she reminded me of myself. She was dark-skinned, confident, and had her career together. As a little dark-skinned girl, seeing someone who looked like me on TV was amazing—it gave me something to visualize for myself. Overall, Erika and Kim are very entertaining for this podcast . Great match!!

I was in 6th grade when this show premiered and I absolutely loved it. Now, at 44, I’m loving hearing Erika and Kim give us the details behind the show I loved so much!! As a yt child growing up in a very yt state, the show was one of my first glimpses into black culture. The podcast delves even deeper into it which I really appreciate. These 2 ladies are so smart and funny and click together so well. It’s so much fun to listen to them go back in time and relive the episodes. Keep ‘em coming!!!!

My daughter sent me this I was so happy I have watched and re watched and rewatched alll of the seasons !!! Yall made me feel seen although I’m Latina , I can relate to you all ! I watched the heck out of this show growing up. I love the behind the scenes tidbits we get from this podcast. It is evident that the actors are serious about their craft. I am so happy this podcast exists to shed light on the show that is a cultural icon!

These recaps make me so emotional bc i relive the episodes and see where i was in life. And what i was doing. It was a staple in my young girl youth. I wanted to be a lawyer bc of Maxine Shaw Attorney at Law. I’m 39 and fell off the path, but am now pursuing it again. This show embodies the spirit of Sankofa. Like the flowers deserved by the cast, I’m going to go back and get my Juris Doctorate.

This show was amazing. The cast was amazing. Since it’s on streaming, we have gone through it twice. There is so much great comedy in this show. It demands a rewatch. So many jokes and looks went over my head as a younger person. Now as an adult, it’s even better.

Living single is my absolute favorite show. I came across it when I was a kid and would always look for the reruns on the oxygen channel. I’ve watched the series countless times and purchased the dvds and then when it came out on the iTunes Store I had to have it. I can have show playing in the background and know what episode it is and know what will be said lol. This podcast is amazing and I love the special guests and how the episode is broken down from the actors and characters point of view.
