I can’t stop listening
I’m a true crime junkie, but mostly because I have a deep desire to know the truth of what people are capable of. This podcast is full of inspiring heroins despite the devastating stories they share. I can’t stop listening.

Finally truth about reality
In a world filled with corruption and abuse, Psychotherapy brings light to the darkness. Leah’s pursuit of truth and justice for those oppressed and abused by those that are supposed to bring help and healing is refreshing. Her content is always interesting and her voice for survivors is so encouraging. You won’t be sorry you listened!!!

Therapy Harm
This podcast talks about everything I wish I would have known before I was indoctrinated by my ex-sociopathic psychologist. Therapy harm is underreported due to many not understanding exactly what it is. Listening to Leah’s podcast will definitely help many begin to identify those red flags.

Well done, much needed
Intelligent coverage of the therapy abuse problem from a moderate therapy-critical perspective.

Excellent
An excellent well-written and produced show about the hidden topic of how therapy can harm. Hope this comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable.

Hate the narration
I was excited for this podcast but hate the narration. I would much rather hear survivor’s speak in their own voices and tell their own stories.

Eye opening
This show is insightful and eye opening. Hearing stories from survivors of trauma, abuse, and grooming at the hands of their therapists has been captivating. This show helps raise awareness for anyone who may be experiencing a similar situation and also helps with processing good therapy sessions. Keep up the good work!

Shocking
Really enjoying this podcast. It’s shocking to hear the kind of problem this is. Be careful out there! Thank you to the host for bringing this problem into the light.

Masterful writing and narrating!
Leah is an extremely gifted narrator and Beau is an extremely gifted writer. If anyone can expose the HUGE problem of therapy harm and abuse, along with getting Ethics Boards to do their jobs, it is these two. Thank you, Leah, Beau and your own families for supporting the important work you are doing. The podcast is intelligent, very informative, easy to follow, and professionally produced. Your heart, commitment to and support of your podcast guests shines through.

This podcast is interesting and will help so many. The abuse is fraught with shame, confusion and denial. Thank you for opening the door and shedding light on it. I love the way the show is set up with guests but the narrator giving so much background information. I find it easy to listen to.

Shining light
A gift to those who haven’t been heard enough and to others who need to be aware. Leah compassionately and directly shines light on the dark side of therapy from the chair. Well done Leah.

Loved it!!
The first time I listened to this show, I audibly gasped! Sometimes it was because I could relate, and other times, I was shocked how easily the therapist described in this story lied to improve his own self worth. Why was he talking about himself during her therapy session anyway? There seems to be endless ways a therapist can hurt his or her clients, and I appreciate how Leah was brave enough to tell her story and assist other victims of therapist abuse tell theirs. I love how Leah described her inner thoughts in the first episode and how she admitted to doubting herself as she questioned the intentions of her therapist. I think this podcast has an important purpose, including validating victims of therapist abuse, giving them courage to speak out, and warning others of red flags to watch for. I definitely recommend this podcast to anyone in therapy or contemplating seeking therapy. Thank you, and I’m looking forward to the next episode!

I don’t know what’s more impressive the podcast host voice that sounds like she could be hosting a podcast/show for years or the fact she devised a clever way to hold her unethical therapist/practitioner accountable. Great insight and honesty that can help anyone self reflect about ethical boundaries and decisions to consider when selecting a therapist. We need more honest voices who have faced trauma to share their journey and be free from judgement or manipulation so I applaud the host(Leah) for taking the initiative to be vulnerable and resilient to help others through her own experience. I look forward to listening to upcoming episodes!

Suuuuch an Important Conversation.
OK, so not only is Leah‘s voice super lovely to listen to, but the stories she shares here are just so important to share. Anyone considering therapy should have an awareness that not all therapists are equally in one’s best interest. It’s just smart to be cognizant of it all.

Shining Light On Some Dark Truths
Real and raw, Leah’s podcast brings to light the experiences of those that have suffered at the hands of mental health professionals. This is a topic that desperately needs attention and Leah is doing just that, providing a platform for victims and survivors to speak out. Thank you for your tremendous strength, courage, and hard work!

Courageous and important
I am immensely proud of Leah for creating such an important platform with her podcast. It takes immense courage to share one's own story, and her bravery in doing so is truly inspiring! By giving a voice to those who have experienced therapy harm and abuse, she is also making a profound difference in the lives of many. Thank you, Leah, for your bravery and for providing this crucial space for such an important topic that more and more people are becoming aware of. Keep going!

Very interesting a relatable.
Was really sucked into the first episode. I could completely see how the therapist would use his power to abuse people. Unfortunately this isn’t the first time this has happened or the last. It’s good to bring awareness to those that may be seeking therapy and educate them on doing extensive research before selecting a therapist.

Amazing
Absolutely raw honest material which I will be telling all my friends and family to listen to

This isn’t good coverage
This is a good topic and it Had great potential but wow, these episodes are pretty bad!! They lack any evidence, it’s all hearsay and not enough information to talk about how things are abusive or hurtful. It can lead to a lot of speculation and create a lot of confusion for those listening, which is only part of a problematic podcast. She needs to up her game when it comes to podcasts because it’s an important topic and could be done better.

There is such a vital need for this podcast topic! Not only for survivors of therapy harm to be heard, but for all listeners to glean from the shared stories. I honestly had not thought extensively about the lack of accountability there is with many therapists. I know for a fact there are many ethical and properly trained therapists out there working hard to help their clients. But, how does a client know the difference between an ethical and highly skilled therapist versus one such as Leah experienced? I believe this podcast will help teach people what to look for as they begin a new therapy journey. There is such clarity and vulnerability in Leahs telling of her experience. Well done. I look forward to following this podcast.

A much needed voice in the psychotherapy space.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I listened to the trailer. Then the first episode blew me away! As a former therapist myself, I know how hard it can be to sit in a therapist’s chair. But listening to Leah’s story and experience, literally gave me chills. And the fact that she was able to go on, find an ethical therapist, who could actually help her and then take steps to hold the unethical Therapist accountable is beyond brave. On top of that, she has not allowed victimization to keep her silent. By getting the help she needed, finding the resources she needed, she has empowered herself and others to tell their stories and get the help they need and deserve. This podcast is a much-needed voice in the psychotherapy space!!!

Wow.
Leah’s voice is compelling. I’m drawn into every word. It’s soothing but I’m on edge waiting to hear the next thing. This is an extremely difficult subject to discuss. It’s wonderful for victims of therapy abuse to have a platform to share. Thank you Leah. Your hardships have lead to a beautiful healing process for others.

A Cut Above
Episode 1 was an intense well-told story that I rewound and rewound in astonishment. Leah Denton is a deft storyteller & I look forward to hearing the rest of this series. For anyone who’s ever even suspected they might have been targeted by a smear campaign.

Awareness is Key
Kudos to Leah Denton for shining a light on this type of abuse that goes largely unreported. Leah’s platform will serve to give voice to all who have been manipulated, coerced, and suffered psychological damage due to the treatment of their unethical therapists/counselors/doctors.

The platform we need
Leah brings so much integrity and bravery to the creation of this podcast. As a psychologist, survivor, and advocate around therapy harm, I’m deeply grateful to her for creating a truthful and compassionate venue for these stories which must be heard. Beginning with her own story, told so clearly and poignantly, she invites other survivors who are ready to join her in telling us what they went through. Us therapists, especially, must listen and grapple with the realities revealed here. Thank you, Leah, for the gift of this platform.

Beware the damaged who seek to heal the damaged!
As someone who worked in college admissions, I was always surprised at the amount of students who sought to become a counselor because they were literally trying to educate their way out of their own damage. This is where the real problem starts but also, how do you continue to monitor a professional counselor who operates in privacy behind closed doors for the sake of HIPPA and everything else? There has to be another way to inject transparency into the process. This podcast is a great start. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

Thank you!
Your story is unfortunately not unusual. I am a fully licensed therapist and know our industry is full of mentally unwell individuals hiding behind their license. Thank you for your bravery in sharing your story to give space for others who have been silenced to use their voice and reclaim their power. Will be listening for each new episode.

Truth!
This podcast is amazing! I have felt this way for decades! Thank you for putting into words what I’ve always been thinking! Your vulnerability sharing your story brought tears to my eyes! I am so happy you were able to find a qualified professional to help ❤️

So Needed!
Therapists who abuse their patients. Most people don’t want to believe this can happen. But it does, all too often. These victims are usually silenced out of fear of not being believed, or guilt that it was somehow their fault. This podcast give a voice to these victims. Thank you!

Insightful, freeing, and relevant
Its so freeing to hear we aren’t alone in the abuse we experience from “professionals”. Leah Denton exposes a very common problem in the field of psychology. She helps the listener look for the tell-tale signs of dangerous clinicians, and uses ethical professionals to talk about how clients/patients can keep themselves safe. Excellent and interesting podcast!

A Space for Survivors of Therapy Harm
This resource has been needed for such a long time. As someone who has been harmed by a therapist, I am truly looking forward to being able to hear stories from other survivors. Thank you for creating a space where our voices can be heard and help others to feel less alone.
