Started at the the beginning and within 5 episodes I have laughed and been exhilarated. By the third or fourth episode I was quietly revolted to the point of asking myself “why I am listening to this show at all?” 5 stars!!!! Ok Frozen Souls sucked. But that’s the only dud so far. So why Psycho Sam isn’t a chart topper on the radio I’ll never know! Into Season 2 and loving Rough Beasts! An excellent series to listen to while working nights in an empty building. Up to Season 4 and the show remains consistently excellent! Highly recommend this show!

Drew is an excellent narrator, I want to say that right away. I respect him and the effort and enjoyment he brings to his narrations. His distinct variations of multiple character voices is immediately recognizable. He’s one of my favorites, for sure. However, my personal opinion is that Drew is best listened to in small doses- one or two episodes at most. To my ear, his voice characterizations can get repetitive and bring me out of the moment. The subject matter of horror-ish, sci-fi-ish stories licensed from by new and recognized authors and a lot of the stories have a humorous slant to them rather than a brutal bloody horror story. Overall, this podcast is an easy 95/100. Highly recommend!

Drew’s character is so lovable! Great deep, gravely, baritone voice and genuinely queasy, awful, engaging stories. I love the quips he has with Chester- who is obviously his pet alligator

I have never in my life found a more talented and vivid story teller a true Master at his craft. His tales have literally saved my life while going to brought hard times.

I came across this podcast the other day and love the stories. Some are horror comedy which is a very rare combination, but the stories are well written, and the voice narration is amazing.

I have been thoroughly enjoying Drew Blood’s Dark Tales. Then I got to season 3 episode 16 moishe mendelheim. It was was horrible, I wish I could have reviewed just it. The narrator was terrible, the story was terrible, the mendenrama joke was old before it happened. It took every fiber of my being to not skip it. I should have. Skip this episode, you won’t miss anything.

This podcast.. how can I word it.. it’s homey in a weird way I love it, it really makes me feel at home. So in conclusion LISTEN TO IT!!!

Normally I’m a big audiobook listener. Most podcasts I listen to are True Crime or mma type podcasts. So when I came across this one I was interested but didn’t expect much. I really loved the few episodes I’ve listened to so far. Great storytelling. Interesting stories and I love the idea of taking submissions from people. Edit… about 50 episodes in and I have a new favorite podcast!

I subscribe to several Chilling Entertainment podcasts, and Drew Blood’s Dark Tales is the absolute best of the bunch. The stories are so well written compared to the other podcasts, and the narration lures you in and keeps you hooked. I look forward to Drew Blood’s Dark Tales every week.

I feel like I’ve been listening to podcast since their exception… I have always loved them. I lost my vision about eight years ago and I have really dived into them even more intentionally since then this is the first podcast that I’ve actually graded commented and even downloaded episodes of… His voice, the stories he chooses even if some of them I’ve heard on other podcast… This guy is just simply amazing!!

Some episodes are great. Others? Eh… not so much.

So it’s a great show I love it am addicted 😐😅 so when i listened to ALL the episodes I was sad 😢 because I know it’s hard to create episodes but maybe just maybe you could make TWO episodes a week? Anyway I loooooveeee the story’s but my favorite 🤩 was the one about that old guy falling in love with his young like helper lady? Updated 8/4/24 Really could use some more Horror/Dark Comedy or some adventure tales featuring kids in peril from Drew. Kinda hoping he and Chester can churn some out this week. Fingers crossed. Love ya pal I’ve been listening to horror story podcasts for 8-10 years. Last year I discovered Drew Blood’s Dark Tales. I was apprehensive at first, thinking nothing could compete with NSP but now I’ve gotten to where I’m on the edge of my seat each week waiting for another episode to air. I listen to podcasts when working in my gardens and while walking the dogs and today I was outside for HOURS! This weeks two hour story Bayou Blood parts 1&2 was just what I needed. Now I’m getting ready to walk the dogs and I’m jonesing for more. Guess I’ll start the show over again from the beginning 😉
