Outdated and Irrelevant
I used to love this podcast but it’s 2026 and they’re still republishing 2014 content instead of doing episodes about the 2024 rules. But they’re happy to publish brand new shows about an RPG nobody has heard of, or Pathfinder.

Fantastic Time for Nerdy Number Crunchers
Been a fan of the website for years, and the podcast doesn’t disappoint. Love the deep dives into mechanics and optimization.

Good discussion, intrusive ads
Listened to the Monster Manual part 1 episode and enjoyed the discussion, but the ad breaks were really annoying - they were frequent (every 20 minutes or so), long (~2 minutes), interrupted the discussion without any warning, and repetitive - I heard the same ad 4 times throughout the course of the episode. Would appreciate fewer ads or at least something like transition music to an ad break.

Useful tool
Super grateful for the rpgbot website. A lot of work and dedication goes into that resource for players and dms to use. Just started this cast, and so far seems like a fun way to dive deeper into the crunch of ttrpg Al’s. That being said, the four commercial breaks per ep w the same commercials is a wild choice, but homies gotta get that paper, stack it up gents

5 stars for Randall, Tyler, and Random; 3 for Ash
I’ve listened to dozens (hundreds?) of episodes, and there is a massive amount of great information, well-thought analysis, and useful tips for both DMs and players. This podcast and the website are my first or second source when I have DND questions. That said, the early episodes are consistently great to listen to. The early ones with Ash are also good - he has an incredible depth of knowledge about RPGs and myths/fiction. The current episodes, however, are so full of Ash’s negativity, aggressive attitude, and bloviating that I often abandon listening after 5 minutes. It’s no fun to hear one host berating the other two and complaining endlessly about WOTC’s failings. I would love to be able to enjoy this podcast again, and if Ash can dial back the aggro, I will.

Great resource for TTRPGs
The crew is very knowledgeable and fun to listen to as they discuss topics on TTRPGs. I e learned a lot even as a long time player/GM. Also learned about new systems and good tips in general to make the games better.

Great Podcast with informative and funny hosts
I know the title was boring, but this podcast is NOT!!! These 3 guys have a LOT of knowledge about D&D and Pathfinder and games I've never even heard of. And they know how to present it in a way that is fun and great to listen to. If you play D&D or Pathfinder, you NEED this podcast in your life.

Stick it in your ears
Crunchy enough to satisfy my inner min/max child, smooth enough to not get into three decimal places of expected damage per spell level. Still waiting for the episode on funnels though

Great information but horrible audio levels
This podcast is FULL of great information about ttrpgs (namely D&D and pathfinder) but the audio mixing and levels starts out rough but it does get better! The podcast is always improving because the cast and producer really want to be best they can for the viewers.

The actually talk about pathfinder
RPG Bot is the most useful tool for balancing characters across any RPG that they support, and the podcast lives up to the website. I especially appreciate that they don’t exclusively focus on 5e as most content creators do. I primarily play pf2 and have never played 5e and the RPG Bot crew are some of the few content creators that compare multiple systems and explain how to play them in an easy to understand way.

Useful for players and DMs
Super informative podcast that covers some exceptionally useful topics for DnD fans. The hosts run the RPGbot.net website, which is an essential resource if you care about the meta of DnD, and each host brings with them their decades’ worth of tabletop knowledge. It also passes the most essential of podcast tests, which is whether or not the hosts are likable people that you would actually want to listen to. Two thumbs up!

Love the show but Audio is too low
Hey guys, Long time follower of RPGBOT.net. I love this show with all the experience around the table. The level of detail that you guys go into help me understand the game better. Especially the one shot that showed how a new DM might incorporate these more advanced tactics. The only criticism I would say is that when I listed to the podcast, the audio is very low. That wouldn’t be so bad, but I have to turn the volume all the way up and some times I still can’t hear. If you could turn it up, this would be 5 stars all the way!
