I’m just on 102, but I love this! Great character and story so far!💕

the first prologue of this show was really interesting! i really felt bet's awkwardness and how apart she was from the group, especially when everyone was laughing without having voiced the joke and bet wonders if they forgot or did it on purpose. makes me want to take up asl classes again! ended up listening to prologue two, oh my GOD thomas is infuriating. the show does a great job of making you hate him lol, i was so over it as soon as he started asking questions.

This podcast is wonderful. It takes your interest within the first episode. So often I come across some that I have to wait for them to get better but not this one. It’s great from the start. Main character has a great since of humor in navigating her new life since becoming deaf. All characters are well played and I’m just all over satisfied with my listener experience. Give it a listen!

Well, I started listening and now I can’t stop. The narrator Bet is navigating a newly closed off world where complicated familial relationships get complicated-er, and the community they seek speaks a whole different language. Bet copes with my favorite mechanism, humor, and I’m finding myself laughing out loud when I’m all alone. Bet also absolutely eviscerates rude/creepy men and it’s a delight to listen to the sharp takedowns ✨ The sound design is absolute ear-candy and beautifully highlights some of the struggles that Bet faces as they walk through a regular day. I’m so excited to learn more about Bet, but also about deafness and a perspective that I’m unfamiliar with. All my thumbs WAY up 👍👍👍

I feel like I learned a lot from listening to this but in a sneaky way because the story was well written, acted, and produced.

HOH woman here- if you aren’t a heating person and have ever felt alone or like your experience wasn’t valid this podcast will reassure you that you’re wonderful how you are. This is the podcast that I didn’t know I desperately wanted in my life. Were some parts hard to listen to because I’ve lived something similar and omg does it hurt? You betcha! But is the atmosphere of the podcast one that brings a sense of peace and being seen to the forefront? Also yes! This is now going to be what I ask my hearing friends to listen to when they ask what it’s like to be HOH. I wish I could give it more stars. Also- the story is straight fire.

Over two days, I enveloped myself in this story. Caroline’s true-to-life writing paired with Tal’s exceptional sound design pulled me into the world and wouldn’t let go. I loved everything about this podcast. I might just go back and listen again.

This show has everything you’d look for in an Audio Drama. Sharp witty writing, subtle yet immersive sound design and stellar performances from the entire cast. The way Minear brings Mincks’ story to life in audio is not only impressive… its a masterclass in sound design and creative collaboration. And while all of this makes for a great listen, what’s really special about SANH is the heart behind the story. 

This podcast is an absolute must listen. Not for fans of “this show” or “that show” but for EVERYONE. There’s so much more I could say about the specific lessons I’ve learned while listening to Seen and Not Heard, but I think you should hear them from Bet instead.

What a thoroughly enjoyable podcast. It’s real and poignant with the perfect balance of humor and drama. You know you’ve stumbled onto something good when it simultaneously educates and entertains. Time very well spent.

Absolutely stunning. I cannot explain how amazing and real this show is not to mention how it brings light to a group of people not often thought about especially in the podcast world.

Refreshing and informative show! You get wrapped up in the story and invested in the characters, all while learning about deaf culture. Can’t recommend it enough!

Something about Caro’s writing is so warm & inviting that it lures you into a false sense of security before it changes you forever. It weaves into your heart & rearranges the wires. Tal Minear’s sound design is a masterclass in subtlety & realism, plus the acting is flawless. Right to the top of my favorites list.

Everything about this show feels incredibly genuine. It's about a person who has lost some of their hearing trying to deal with, well... life. It's funny, it's heartfelt, and is eminently relatable. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and I learned something. If that's not exactly what I'm looking for in a podcast then I don't know what is. Do yourself and favor and listen to this.

This is so beautiful. The writing is real and raw and it made me tear up a bit. Our protagonist is enjoyable to listen to and I’m rooting for her- and the cast and crew of this show.
