The episode 'From Mary: Earth First Gardening with Melanie Cotillo of Lazy Dirt Wildflower Farm' was such a refreshing and thoughtful take on what it means to truly care for the land, and it was genuinely enjoyable to listen to. The conversation with Melanie feels both inspiring and grounding, especially in the way gardening is reframed as a relationship rather than a transaction, with insights that linger and gently shift how even the smallest tended spaces are seen.

This invites me to think outside the box in sustainable living and doesn’t feel overwhelming. I feel less lonely in my slow living efforts knowing these two are out there representing many followers also supporting this kind of intentionality.

I enjoy the show, but would enjoy it so much more if they’d give their guests more time to speak. The June 21 show is a perfect example of over-taking the guest and focusing on their own musings, etc. I tuned in to hear the guest speaker - If only she was giving a chance to speak! Emma, please give it a rest! My eyes just glazed over.

Definitely my favorite weekly podcast. I love the range of topics covered and find myself drawn in even if I didn’t think I would initially like the topic. Each episode is densely packed with high quality info and I tend to listen to each episode twice to really soak it all in. Such a highlight to my week each Friday!

I want to learn about gardening and being a homesteader. The first episode I click on they are talking about raising money for the first 15min. That is a major turn off. I’ll search for other episodes. Hopefully they are all not like that.

Episodes I listened to, hosts didn’t get to the topic until approximately 15 minutes into the episode. Hosts and guests talked but didn’t say anything. I wasn’t provide with any new information, tips, how tos. Guests ranted and rambled but were not informative. To me, the topic in episode title wasn’t discussed. Guests seemed to be self promoting without offer information or guidance.

In this world of true crime podcasts and discouraging news headlines, it’s a breath of fresh air to listen to this optimistic and engaging podcast! I appreciate all of the interesting speakers and the practical information and advice Emma and Mary share. Thank you for all you do!

Great podcast. I think the mother and daughter duo bring such different but connected experiences and life to the pod topics. I’d love more “real life” people

I used to love this podcast, but I’m getting burnt out by their “all or nothing” mentality. Stating that we shouldn’t reuse plastic into every day items because it “gives people permission to use single use plastic” rather than looking at it as what a great way to use up that plastic. Or that we shouldn’t have lawns but rather should grow food in our yards. I have a giant garden, live as sustainably as I can, but dang, it’s just too much.

Episode #133; “Eco-Textiles And Sustainable Sheets” is a very insightful and wonderful conversation with the cofounders of the company Ettitude and their use of sustainable Bamboo textiles to help fight climate change. We hope to see a future episode on the use of Bamboo flooring compared to traditional hardwood flooring.

I have never loved a podcast more than this one. Mary and Emma produce such quality content reaching into all corners or regeneration. I love hearing the different perspectives of their guests and have learned so much in the few weeks that I’ve been binge listening :)

This podcast is my favorite podcast and I listen to a lot of podcasts! I love that it is relevant, informational, and real! I can relate to every one of The Good Dirt episodes in some way, and I also learn a least 2 important things in every episode. I would and do recommend this to everyone I talk to!

From the very start, the ethos, guests and subjects discussed in The Good Dirt have been compelling. On top of that, the quality has been on an impressive trajectory upward: a feat not always accomplished by first time podcasters. It continues to be one of my most anticipated weekly listens. I learn so much and derive a lot of inspiration every time. Even when I think a topic might not be my cup of tea, I always come away glad to have listened - my knowledge and appreciation expanded once again.

The idea of birth, death, and rebirth is beautifully summed up right here from another farm lady and mother. I love my animals, I love my dirt, and I love how much Mother Nature teaches us if we take the time to listen. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust ❤️
