Let me start by saying that I love this podcast! I would like to request a case, but I’m not sure where to do that, so I thought here would be my start. The case is Amber Lundgren, a 20 year old woman brutally murdered in June 7, 1997, in Asheville, NC after a night out with friends. She was found the next day brutally murdered. 29 years later, her murder is still unsolved. DNA was collected at the scene and even with all the advancements in DNA testing, still no answers. I heard about this case today from my boss, who was a friend of Amber’s and was actually supposed to go out with her that night but decided not to at the last minute. Amber, her family, and friends deserve answers. Please, please, please cover this case…someone needs to…

Wanted to love this pod but omg waaaaaay too many ads!

You guys can’t seriously be saying “thanks for tossing the salad with us” or “let’s toss the salad” on a podcast about murder stories 🤣🤣 Otherwise, I think yall have come a long way since starting and make a pretty great podcast.

I’ve been looking for a new podcast and stumbled upon Crime Salad. As others have said, ads are a LOT! I don’t mind ads but this is excessive. The episode I listened to kept skipping. To be fair, I thought it might have been my CarPlay but playing it directly from my phone it did the same. I think I’ll pass on this one. For now anyway

If I have to listen to your ad about the kid burning to death one more time I’m going to scream.

I enjoy the podcast, but it drives me crazy every time they mention Dr. Michael Baden. As they state, he is “one of the country’s most respected pathologists” so a quick search would show that his name is pronounced Bah-den, not Bay-den. I would think true crime podcasters would know this. I know they’re young, but Dr. Baden’s show Autopsy (the original forensics show) is still available to watch.

I really enjoy the podcast overall as y’all don’t do alot of banter and small talk. Yall get straight to the point but some things just irk me. The way Ricky pronounces certain words such as mountain and button. He says buddon and moundain. Almost like he can’t pronounce T’s or something. It’s like nails on a chalkboard and I cringe so much. Overall, it’s a great podcast I just wish he would say words the correct way.

Enjoy hearing stories but wow that’s a lot of ads

I was looking for a new true crime podcast and came upon this one. Their style of reporting is similar to my other faves- I love it. They are respectful and they get straight to the point.

Something is wrong with voice setting… sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks after the beginning ads…. Sorry this seemed like the only “contact” method. Hopefully you get a chance to read it and fix it thanks!

Make of that what you will. Not, make that what you will. Podcasters unfortunately do not have to speak well or be very smart. They typically have bad grammar and poor sentence structure.

Great storytelling. Keeps the small talk minimal but always has great one liners that have me LOL.

Hosts come across as ignorant, immature, and uneducated. Simple words or terms are mispronounced or used entirely incorrectly. Sometimes, they make up words that don’t even exist! The grammar isn’t any better either. The hosts must have skipped geography class, too. Ricky continues to make inane comments and his presence serves no purpose except to annoy listeners, and his speaking manner is just odd and unnatural. Finally, there are too many advertisements. It’s quite unbelievable that any reputable organization would sponsor this mediocre podcast.

I have been sleeping on This podcast. Thank goodness for recommendation . The hosts have incredible soothing voices. Stories are well researched. Great podcast

I’m Judi from Birmingham Alabama. Crime Salad is THE BEST!! You and Ricky report and tell the facts with no added comments. I am a seamstress. I am motivated to get started on my projects because this means you and Ricky will make my day feel like I have two new friends. I am on a mission to listen to all of your podcasts. Very interesting stories and told with so much heart. Thank you for all the investigative work you do on every story. Yes. Some are very sad but it also makes me more aware of my surroundings and people I meet. I am 85 years old. Keep up the good work. I have listened to many other people’s crime podcast but none measure up to yours!!! This is my everyday and evening treat. To hear your sweet voice tell a story about life and what can happen to innocent victims. Keep up the good work. Love Crime Salad!!!

I truly love your show. However, how can mispronounce the first name, of the first female vice president of The United States of America. For me, it has absolutely nothing to do with politics. It has everything to do with doing your due diligence. And the respect to which all humans should expect. Furthermore, all presidents and all vice presidents should have their names properly and correctly pronounced. Some were not so great. Some still aren’t that great. However, I believe in the idea of having respect for The Office of The President. Same for the VP Beyond that, I love your show!!

I generally enjoy this podcast. I just listened to the one in Detroit. I live Downriver. My one complaint is it is not the Rogue River it is the Rouge ( like blush) River.

You can tell there is a lot of work that goes into this podcast. Great solid show!

I used to look forward to this pod but I find myself skipping many episodes these last several months. The episodes are boring or cases they aren't all that interesting.

This podcast is somewhat decent. Ashley has a pleasant voice. Ricky, needs some work on his radio voice. It seems as though they enjoy bashing LE in subtle ways throughout these podcasts. Some of us out there still support LE and are clever enough to see through your manipulative tactics to try and portray all LE as “bad”. You can tell neither of them have a background in anything related to podcasting or the law…but here they are. Time for something else.

This is a decent podcast though there are alot of ads and there isn't much natural flow between the hosts as mentioned by several others. My biggest issue is the articulation and inflection of Ricky's voice. It's just odd.

Well spoken and professional hosts. Caring and great about warning when they are about to tell about anything upsetting. 💕

Absolutely the greatest show! This weeks episode is close to me as I live in Poughkeepsie. It was nice to hear our town name being said the right way!

The cases are fun and interesting but the conversation portion between the hosts is WAY too scripted. It doesn’t sound natural AT ALL, it genuinely sounds like they wrote out what they would say to each other instead of having a natural flow.. I had to unsubscribe because it was bothering me so much

I subscribed for the ad free experience and the very first one I listened to had ads and haven't stopped, already had to cancel, sorry

But I can’t stand that you bring any attention to the psycho mother who shot her kids by playing her voice and her lies every time for your intro. Cringe worthy! ETA: After a couple of years, I’ve come back to your podcast because I love Ashley’s narration and how Ricky responds to it. It seems very natural and you have a great dynamic. Respectful and supportive of one another. And I absolutely am so happy you changed your intro music. It’s good to see you guys continue to grow, thrive, and evolve your podcast. You have a talent for sure. I just need you to put out twice as many episodes bc yours is so good! It's a dialogue and not two ppl reading in a monotone voice.

I’ve been a Patron member of Crime Salad for two years and absolutely loved this podcast in the beginning. Unfortunately, over time it has become noticeably more scripted, and the ad breaks have grown to more than six minutes at times. Many of the newer episodes are shorter, yet more than half of the runtime is filled with ads. I ultimately unsubscribed because the episode lengths and ad times became so unpredictable and took away from the experience. I truly hope the show can return to the quality it once had.

I’ve been listening to Crime Salad for a few months now and I truly love every episode they release. The hosts have such easy-to-listen-to voices and they complement each other so well. I recently listened to Words That Wound and would highly recommend this episode above all others! Keep up the excellent work and great content. Five stars from me!

I've been an avid listener of Crime Salad for a very long time and recently joined their Patreon. This is one of the best podcasts out there. This is a sweet married couple and they have the perfect amount of chatter…not over done. They have amazing voices for story telling and they research very well. Give them a listen!!

The hosts have great chemistry! Not a lot of banter

Crime Salad has quickly become one of my favorite true crime podcasts. Ashley and Ricky do such a great job presenting each case with empathy, clarity, and solid research. I really appreciate how they focus on the victims and their stories rather than sensationalizing the crimes themselves. The balance between detailed storytelling and respectful discussion is spot-on. I also love how the hosts bring both compassion and insight to difficult topics, making even heavy cases feel meaningful rather than exploitative. Whether you’re a longtime true crime fan or just dipping your toes into the genre, Crime Salad stands out as one of the most professional and heartfelt podcasts out there. Highly recommend!

I just came across this show while looking for something new to listen to and I really like it. They don’t have a ton of back and forth they tell the story and I really appreciate it. I can’t stop listening

I really like how the two hosts leave out too much side banter and comedy. I think this podcast has a lot of potential as they choose great cases to cover. My only issues with this podcast is it lacks substance. The episodes are short because of the length of the ads. But the information we do get is very condensed. Also, the transition between the story and ads is very abrupt. Overall, this is a good filler podcast and had potential to be really good.

I had to edit my 5 star review I originally left months ago after listening to the latest episode about Jennifer (RIP).. it’s very insensitive and disrespectful to refer to Jennifer’s torture, humiliation and murder “cringey”…. really?

I love how genuine, down-to-earth, purposeful, compassionate, and kind you are; and how it comes across when Ashley narrates the cases. I also love our supportive, thoughtful, caring King, Ricky. You guys have made a great choice having Ashley the front-end work so Ricky can support (while working). The show flows so much better. I’m really rooting for you guys😍. I will binge until I catch up. You’re my favorite podcast rn.

I absolutely love Crime Salad. But please make a transition jingle before and after ads. It’s jarring the way they interrupt the story without warning Ashley’s storytelling is engaging, expressive, empathetic, articulate, and so beautifully delivered…. I listen all day in a tractor, all summer. I had written a year ago my disappointment in Ricky’s voice and delivery, and I now acknowledge the positive changes you’ve made! His role now, as a listener and voice for us, is so natural and much more enjoyable. I just binged this show on a 10hr round trip drive to the coast.
