This is Caring
The vulnerable honest voices on this podcast express great listening skills, openness and trust with a friends group that really want to help other people. I have recommended this podcast to my grandchildren who are teenagers and young adults. I’ve been a teacher and an art therapist and the topics raised here are valuable for anyone interested in helping teenagers to help themselves and their friends. Mostly I am responding to the heartfelt way that this group communicates with each other and with the listeners on any topic of concern for teenagers. This is s very rewarding podcast and I hope it will stay up even though it’s no longer actively being produced. The information and expression of values important for teenagers and dealing with their feelings is going to remain a great resource for many years to come. Many thanks to the inspiration that brought this podcast into being and the dedication and openness that becomes a gift to all who listen.

Love you guys
I started listening to you all a year or so ago. I appreciate and love you all. I’m a 55 year old New Yorker with kids your age. I enjoy your conversations and your perspectives. Right now I’m Listening to your episode about being “mature”. You guys are all doing fine. I have heard the changes in you since I’ve been listening and you don’t even understand how well you’re doing. Welcome to New York by the way. Not sure if you’re still here but I want to take you all out to dinner. It might not be fancy but I feel like you’re my kids.

Thank you!✨😀
I just started listening to this podcast and I appreciate the episode on when to let people go. It made me understand that I’m not the problem if I choose to let that person go. I shouldn’t have forced myself to not give up on someone if they make me feel bad. Thank you again

Comforting
Hey, I just listened to the “am I bad at making friends” episode. Just wanted to say it was perfect for how I’m feeling right now and it was nice to hear other people verbalizing the thoughts going through my mind. It’s amazing to hear teens talk about the things I think a lot of us commonly think about. I’ll definitely be listening to more episodes- this was my first one. Thank you for doing this!

Grief
I’ve been listening to these episodes for a little now, this episode really helped me today. Recently my grandpa died from cancer. And by recently I mean just the other day. I wasn’t able to talk to him before he passed, I hadn’t talked to him or seen him since I was a little kid. He disowned me when I was younger for a petty argument he had with my mother. I couldn’t help but feel guilty for not reaching out when I still had the chance. You know it’s just hard to really realize you’ll never be able to talk to them again. He’s just gone. Grief is a complicated thing, it’s hard to explain it to someone who hasn’t experienced it yet. It’s like a sinking feeling of reality. It just hits you I mean they’re just GONE. The emotions that follow with grief are so indescribable, there is rage, anger, sadness, guilt and confusion. I think one of the hardest parts of grief is when you feel any sort of positive emotion, you just feel guilty. You think to yourself “why am I not sad?” It’s so hard to grasp grief because it’s just so complicated. To anyone who’s reading this and has recently experienced loss, it’s ok to not be ok. It’s hard dealing with this, be kind to yourself <3.

sanity-saving.
ive been listening to this podcast for a few months, and i just want to say how much it’s helped me. it shows me that even if i feel alone, there are people who understand it. also, listening to these people talk is so satisfying. all of their conversations are so calm, yet interesting. it’s also helped me open my views on the world or anything i didn’t understand. whenever i feel empty, i can turn this on and find myself again.

Stealing is Awesome
I have a middle school girl who is dealing with a friend who steals and has stolen from our home. Saw this podcast and thought it might help her to deal with her emotions from someone other than me. Stealing is totally fine to this group, especially if it is big, corporate America because somehow that’s not stealing and doesn’t hurt anyone. I am an Amazon seller, very small business, and they even mentioned that was fine. The word Therapy should be taken out of the name of this podcast.

Relatable
Teenager Therapy is one of the most relatable podcasts out there. This podcast allows you to grow with the group mentally and physically. This podcast touches many subjects that our society has failed to address, this podcast will make you feel like you are apart of the conversation as it’s not scripted. I highly recommend this! 💛☕️

Speaking on the Unspoken
I just listened to the most recent podcast on extreme mood swings… and it almost brought me to tears. For like four months now, I have also been experiencing these epic highs and most devastating lows. One month, I’ll be extremely productive, and the next, I’ll be unmotivated and can barely concentrate for 10 minutes on given task. I’m a senior in high school so I kept convincing myself I was simply experiencing “senioritis” and dismissed my mental health needs. I keep telling myself that in my period of productivity, I was overworking myself and giving myself burnout. After listening to this podcast: 1. I no longer feel like I’m crazy for being this way. 2. I realize that I need to consult a medical professional 3. I am beyond thankful for your content and opening up about this to the public. <3

Best podcast I’ve ever listened too. Most teenagers will be able to relate to the things talked about on this podcast. I’ve listened to this podcast for over 2 years now and I would 11/10 recommend it to any teen out there.

Hi guys!
I just wanted to let you guys know that I love you all so much, even though I don’t know you. I also wanted to say something else, I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I know the church has done a pretty bad job of treating people who are lgbtq+ and I wanted to let you know that if you’ve been cast out or been hated for your sexuality by a person who says they love God, it’s not right. The whole point of Christianity is to love people, anybody and everybody the way Jesus loves you. I don’t want to push my views on you or make you feel bad in anyway, I just want to let you know that this is something I believe with my whole heart and wouldn’t it be unloving to not share it with you? God sent his son to die for you on a wooden cross upon a hill called Calvary. If you think about it, if you had all the power in the world and could do anything you want would you choose to make yourself the lowest of low? For other people’s mistakes? Probably not, but some being out there decided that you were worth it. He still loves you despite all the sin you’ve committed, just like He’s loved me through all my mistakes. Like I said, i don’t mean to offend anyone with this view but it comes from a place of love. I don’t look down on you in anyway or want to hurt anyone for what they do. I just wanted to share with you the way I view the world.

Love the authenticity!
I’ve discovered your podcast a few weeks ago. After listening to growing up poor, I wanted to let you know that the podcast are giving me a sense of comfort. Making me feel not alone. Hearing other experiences with financial problems. I wish more people would talk about lower income households and the effect it has on kids, because it’s significant. Love the channel! -impacted stranger from co

As a person formerly known as a teenager, I’d say the best advice you can get is that ALMOST EVERYTHING you think is a big deal is not even close to a big deal. Also, YOU aren’t a big deal, and neither is the person you look up to. Also, you aren’t even HALF as smart as you might think you are. Also, most adults are just as stupid as you are. Basically, large doses of humility and a good sense of humor will serve you well.
