A new fan
I honestly had not known of your fabulous talent prior to today, but please, let me be counted as a new fan. You honor Ms. Maya Angelou by speaking your truth, and that means the world to me. I have purchased your music on iTunes and I look forward to listening to it, and getting to know your music. I love your Christmas album, especially “Mary did you know”. Thank you for representing honesty, calling out when something is clearly wrong, and being someone I can be proud to know as a fan. God bless. Jen from Kenmore, WA

I am a fan!
India Arie thank you for standing for what is right verses making money along side a man who has said such racist things. I went on amazon and bought a few of your albums today! I support you!

Dear India Arie::
Your podcast came at a time that I was in a holding space of negative energies rooted in insecurities, fear and worthlessness. My uncle Gregory works for Stevie Wonder & he tells me poems are songs. I write them for healing. Just wanted to say, whether we wanted to or not, we black girls watched tv & women all around us for identity; had you not been on the television for me to identify with, I would not be the woman I am today. THANK YOU for wearing locs & head wraps & acoustic guitars & healing beads & your mothers stitches on NATIONAL TELEVISION because it gave TRUE COURAGE for the ORGANIC DREAMERS. -Phy

Songversation One
Hey India! Been really enjoying these community podcasts. Loving hearing your creative process and relating to them as I am a visual artist. I’ve been on a Spiritual journey for decades and your music has inspired me throughout my adult life. I was at the Sade tour years ago and then I was able to see you perform live in a small venue in Downtown San Diego. It was a beautiful concert as well as the warmth and love from all beings there. Okay India your not as popular as some other artist but you are touching peoples souls on a much deeper level. For so many of us on a Spiritual Path, you put our thoughts, beliefs and prayers into heartfelt moving songs. I would love to hear the inspiration and creative process behind the song One. Just had a voice procedure otherwise I’d ask live on Instagram. Love you sister, Gibran Barrack
