Inspired by Victorian Christmas ghost stories, and A Christmas Carol, 12months 12stories is excited to bring you this holiday season, The Big House. Written by Rebecca Palmer, Performed and Sound Designed by Deborah Wastell. The Big House is a story about a particular journey home one Christmas eve, but also the journey they'll take in to the past, and the lives that came before them. Special thanks to, Jonathan Cobb, Charlotte Clark, Rosie James, Miriam Babooram, Andrew Hobday, and Patrick Lynch.  Please note this story has themes of death, and death by burning. Recommended 14+

Douglas and The Bus, written and performed by Trevor Windsor. Sound designed by Rebecca Palmer. A charming tale about finding your way, purpose, at the end of all your days. Could you work for the Ghost Bus Tours? Sandwiches and a hot drink go nicely with this story. Themes of death. Recommended 14+

Imprints, performed by Zachary Wilcox. Written and sound designed by Rebecca Palmer. The autumnal equinox is happening on the 23rd September 2023, marking the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. Feeling inspired by the change in seasons, we wondered what would nature tell us if it could? What stories would it share with us? Take sand for instance... what would they talk about given the chance? All those memories imprinted on to their very being, but which ones to share. Recommended 14+ Trigger warnings, mention of suicide, loss of a child, grief, death.

Stick it to The Man! (Santa) written and sound designed by, Rebecca Palmer. Performed by, Kit Sinclair and Phoebe Spence-Evans. Bubble Wrap and Candy Cane, two of Santa’s elves, have found themselves in a spot of bother. Can they set, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer free and have the Christmas of their dreams? Are You Sitting Comfortably, written and sound designed by Julia Warren. Performed by Jonathan Brandt. Did you hear that? Did the computer just type a message all by itself? It couldn't possibly be, could it? Am I being silly, or was that the sound of a horse and carriage outside the window? So many questions... better get comfy, settle down, listen to this spooky tale of mystery and murder, the answers you seek await.  Happy Halloween.   Recommended 14+ 

Tapeworm, written by Sam Buss. Performed by Thomas Ghaleb. A man is on the stand in court, his only defence is that the tapeworm in his stomach is responsible for all of his crimes. Try as he might, it is doubtful that anyone will believe him. But is it the truth? Recommended 14+
