Sports and entertainment writer Dan Buffa stops by the bar again (thank God) and talks with the boys about the Oscars, the passing of Kobe Bryant and even the Saint Louis Blues. A favorite of the podcast, Dan makes us care (a little) about silly little gold statues.

Like many “old things” it was set to be demolished and developed, but Michael stood up and fought. It’s a true David vs. Goliath story, and if we had a 12 Foot Beard of Fame, Michael would be the first inductee.

The event began in Clayton, MO in 2012 and has since grown to include over 15 cities across the US and has raised over $750,000 for local charities. On our Halloween episode we drink and talk with the masked Professional Wrestler, The Big Texan Jim Hoffarth. Jim’s a South Broadway Athletic Club legend and multiple title holder who personifies grit and character. Not only because he’s an older guy in a profession that eats up and spits out young guys, but also because he came back from a broken back to keep wrestling even after doctors told him not to.

He’s a contributor to 590TheFan, a columnist with KSDK and St. Louis Game Time, and a member of STL Film Critics and Critics Choice. Zach Sullentrup is a Saint Louis song writer, founder of Flaming Garbage Records and front man for the band Tidal Volume (among others). He's a man of character, good humor and likes to wear boots with his shorts. We talk with him about grit, character and his experiences as a musician for more than 10 years.
