Sooo good!!
Absolutely love listening to the episodes. Jill and Dick, I appreciate the way you all show care and compassion for the victims. Love the humor and beer reviews are always interesting. So glad I found the podcast!

Excellent podcast!
I really enjoy this podcast! Very well researched. I discovered it during the COVID lockdown when I had a new infant and was up all night. I’ve been a listener since. Nice banter between the couple- seems very authentic. I’m not a beer drinker but enjoy the reviews. I also appreciate the medical info. Very well done.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I’m binging and am up to June 24,2017 disappearance of Lisa Irwin. Can’t wait to get caught up. Jill, you’re sooo patient!!! There are times I’d just have to tell Dick to bite me 😂 I’ve been a nuclear medicine technologist for 25 years and been an Xray technologist for 35 years. Having said that, I enjoy hearing Dick’s medical input. Keep up the good work!

Excellent
Great story telling and accurate reporting

Definitely not my favorite
The banter between the two hosts was awkward and not engaging at all. The man kept getting ahead of the story, not allowing for the story line to unfold well. He spoke in a very monotone voice and I legitimately fell asleep within 10 min. If I hadn’t been genuinely interested in this specific case I wouldn’t have gone back to re-listen, but it was tough to get through. The personal disgust the hosts showed for the Mormon faith was apparent and off putting.

Just a regular couple who likes beer and true crime.

Inflation and tone are unbearable.
I like the idea behind the podcast. I tried to listen to this podcast multiple times to give it a fair shot. I do not like the tone she uses; it doesn't flow well. Sounds like an inexperienced reader reading line by line from a paper versus a professional storyteller. Voice goes up at the end of sentences and soundstight. They are not pleasant-sounding for a podcast. They do a great job of detailing the story and researching. I think they should write for the podcast, but not be the voice behind it. Not everyone can narrate or host effectively, even though they have great ideas to share.

Very boring
I couldn’t get through a whole episode. I tried three times to get through an episode. Very boring very dry. Nobody wants to hear a beer being poured. Nobody cares about the long clause is about a beer being poured. Nobody cares about your personal views of old terminology. Little bit too political.

Disappointed
If I wanted to listen to a political podcast, that’s what I would go to. Inserting your political views during a true crime podcast is not only unnecessary but a complete turn off.

Vocal fry
Just a personal irritant, but her Kardashian-like vocal fry at the end of 90% of her sentences is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Otherwise , I could absolutely tolerate the rest of it. Very informative, very thorough. I actually don’t need them to sound “excited” as others have complained.

I couldn't get past the first episode
They are too busy talking about themselves instead of the murder mystery that I wanted to hear.

Could These Two…
…BE any more boring?! They’re like the NPR of true-crime podcasts, and they even sound bored with themselves and these stories. They don’t have very expressive voices, either. I’ll listen if I’m caught up with all of my other podcasts, but this is never even my third or fourth choice. Meh.

Ads
I can’t listen to them anymore. I timed it the other day and there are commercials every 5 minutes.

Fabulous
I appreciate how thoughtful and thorough your story’s are and look forward to new episodes. I find your pace refreshing, your format original and fun, your interplay respectful, your voices pleasing and your short ads inoffensive. As an OTR i find the medical info helpful. This show is an acquired taste and I mean that as a compliment! Ann Rule’s book “Dead by Sunset” about a complex, twisted relationship resulting in the horrid staged murder of Cheryl Keaton near Portland OR may be a worth a look. I found it compelling and have not heard anyone tell it yet. Thank you for your intelligent show, I love it.

Uninterested hosts
I’ve only listened to one episode so far and found it very boring. The hosts sound like they aren’t even that interested in their topics.
Curiositydays
Why does she have to be so mean?
I do enjoy this podcast however, poor Dicky takes a verbal beating from his wife. It’s interesting to listen to their marriage is deconstruct as she becomes less and less tolerant of him as the years go on. She has a friendlier tone with him in the earlier podcast, now she is just rotten to him! Blink twice if you need help Dicky! 🤣

Great investigation into the crimes
I really enjoy this podcast. I was wondering if you’ve done a podcast about Doctor Michael Swango. A doctor who poisoned his patients. I believe he was originally from Illinois. He then moved around as hospitals caught into him but were afraid to say he actually was killing people. There was no investigation. Eventually he went all the way to Africa and was caught there.

Even if
Even if you’ve heard all you can about “said” case, if TCB does or has done an episode on it, I must listen to it. Guaranteed to learn something new or understand the timeline much better. Thank you both, your hard work is much appreciated!!

Great Podcast
I really like how comprehensive this podcast is and the interaction between the hosts. I especially appreciated their coverage of the Daybell trials. I’m always eager to listen when they release a new episode. You guys are great. 😊

Blindsided
Had to turn it off. Could barely hear him talking.. Both of their commentary grates on my nerves especially her “ folksy” style. Very biased without presenting all the information. It’s just them giving their opinion without presenting all the facts.

My #1 go to!
I love this couples interaction with each other, and I really appreciate how they take the time to dumb down medical terms.

Also a bit curious
That someone is sending an email about Jody husintrit. It's all of a sudden being covered by multiple podcasters.Hmmmmm. Must be a new documentary coming out. Your listeners can see through this .

One of the best!
I have been listening to y’all for several years and will continue to listen as long as you make episodes. The banter between you two cracks me up. Never stop being awesome!

Good, not great
A pretty good podcast. I know it’s petty but Jill’s minor speech impediment is distracting to me (the “ahn” instead of “uhn”).

The Voices..oh my
A two hour show to end the year, when almost everybody else is on break. Yay thank you Jill and Dickie!

Lucy Letby
The episodes on Lucy Letby were awesome, I was unaware of this case and found it fascinating as well as troublesome. Looking forward to future updates as things progress.

Well researched
Always an interesting listen, and every case I'm well versed in has been spot-on in regards to details, and the details are plentiful: both rare. Reliable and entertaining.

Best crime podcast out there
Well researched, charming hosts, this is the full package and the only true crime podcast worth listening to!
PK12399
Well researched with limited, thoughtful banter
Beer review of craft beer in locale is of the crime at the beginning. Married couple with their indie podcast, work together to bring a well scripted story.
Uslayme2021
Good cases but ugh
The host voices are just not a good match for podcasting. They are so monotone and bleh.
Poochie623
Love love
I fell upon your podcast a few years ago! Absolutely love the way you both narrate the true crime stories and your banter with each other! You keep it real! Big Fan! Keep them coming! Best wishes, Marg - Oceanside Long Island!
MaggsMcB
Okay
In my opinion before patronage and sponsorship this was a much better podcast. The cases are rarely new but the banter between hosts and the occasional F bomb is still well placed.
Sending love...
Very enjoyable!
Keep up the great work! Thank you

Great Stories, but….
Gosh, the voices are so FLAT! Almost like they are reading from a page and not in the same room. Female host is critical of the male host excessively. Maybe work with a linguist?

Great!
Always come back to this podcast, and when I do, I binge all the new episodes I’ve missed.

Cheers from Albuquerque

Great true crime podcast
I really like the show very much

A fabulous podcast
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts. Of course there are a lot the most well known that you hear on different podcasts. I am always amazed at how well researched this podcast is. It has to take an incredible amount of time for them to find all of history behind the main stories. They don’t “hit the high spots”, but take the time to find the history of everyone involved. The TCB premium is well worth the money. Thanks so much.

Long time listener!
I truly love listening to them discuss cases. Their chemistry and their medical background really do add to the show. the beer reviews in the beginning of the episodes are really interesting. I like how he explains all the flavor notes, and even tells you if it’s a let’s buy a 6 pack and hang out kind of beer or if you’re best sharing one with someone. The pour of the beer is honestly my favorite part! They cover a variety of cases, even some older ones which is what I like. It gets redundant when the true crime community covers the same cases at the same time. It’s a breath of fresh air to hear of cases I have never heard of. Thank you guys for all that you do!

One of my favorites of the true crime podcasts. Original and gives a comprehensive overview of the crime, history of both the victims and perpetrators with commentary from the hosts. Can’t wait for each new episode!
