Hayley Mayer is a psychotherapist who says she did not choose her trajectory, her trajectory choose her. After losing a baby in her first pregnancy, Hayley went on her own self journey that led her to becoming a psychotherapist. Hayley loves everything about human behaviour, especially their ability to transform and is now on a mission to scale her knowledge to a wider audience with transformational coaching.

Key learnings and takeaways:

  • Hayley was struggling with procrastination, shiny objection syndrome, overthinking and indecision when it came to evolving her business beyond her 1-on-1 counselling work

  • Her revenue was stuck at a plateau because her capacity as as a counsellor was capped and yet she couldn’t navigate how to scale her business to go online

  • She had done the courses, got overwhelmed with the tech options and had trouble narrowing down her niche

  • When probed deeper it turned out what was propagating these issues was actually a fear of trying and looking bad, which went all the way back to her school days

  • Her overconcern with ensuring everything was ‘right’ was actually keeping her in limbo and festering all kinds of self defeating narratives

  • We broke down the path and expectations on what she would have to do to navigate the muddy waters of her patterns and narratives keeping her stuck at a revenue plateau
