This audio drama was the first audio drama I’ve ever listened to. I explained it to my family and friends as a movie without video. The bad thing is multiple people have said they imagine it the same as me. I couldn’t imagine a series on tv. I’d be so invested and pay a membership.

The show is amazing but the advertisements are LOUD!!!!! Wish my ears didn’t have to bleed every time you needed a dollar lol.

I love love love love this show. I am sad that it is coming to an end though but I can respect their decision, begrudgingly. This show has brought me so much joy, entertainment, tears, anger(because they write characters who piss you off so well) and peace. I always thought it would be cool if they did a spin off of other locations, cities/towns, states and or countries. I will still do my bi-monthly listen of every story even after they’ve finished the storyline. You get so invested into the characters that you feel their happiness, pain, sorrow, and deaths. Even though I’ve listened to it multiple times and I know when things are going to happen I still get sad, I still cry and still get angry. The best audio drama I have ever heard. I still use We’re Alive as a benchmark for if a show is good or not.

Best there is. Great cast. Great sound effects. Great music. I love it.

I haven’t found a podcast yet that I have enjoyed more than We’re Alive!

I’ve been listening to we’re alive since 2009 and I’m still surprised this haven’t been picked up by Amazon Netflix hbo for a series to be adapted it’s literally gold the story and characters everything is so well done my hats off to you Mr. Wayland

The actor who plays Nick, is so annoying, his voice is annoying , his character is annoying, delete his character!

Anything else is a very distant second. We’re Alive: A Story of Survival (4 full seasons) is the best of them, but Lockdown, Goldrush, and Descendants were all fantastic as well. Extremely excited for We’re Alive: Scout’s Honor (releasing March 19th), and they just started a kickstarter to help fund a second and third season of Descendants. So everyone, please pledge if you can. As silly as it may sound, We’re Alive got me through some really tough times, and it’s still a great listen, even the 3rd or 4th time. I’ll support them in any way that I can!

Of all the story telling podcasts, scripted or actual D&D types, hands down my fav. Besides my mainstay info and political podcasts, def my most listened to. Over and over. It’s that good. Descendants is mid. Definitely the worst. Honestly so bad I haven’t finished it. But the rest is AAA+++!!!

Most of the active roles in the plot so far are driven by forceful GI joe types. It would be more interesting and less predictable if there was a variety of characters but unfortunately not the case up to this point.

Absolutely captivating! One of the best podcast I’ve ever come upon. Love the characters and all of the wonderful work that goes into the entire story.

They do a very good job of painting a picture for you. There are a few different parts of the show and they do a good job at making each part feel like a completely different experience without being too repetitive.

I’ve listened to every episode and am hoping more will come! This is literally one of the best quality and best attention grabbing thrilling podcast ever!

Please tell me the show will be back!! I’ve replayed every season three times now.

I am re-listening to this podcast for the fifth time! I love all the characters and honestly, I cry when the bad stuff happens( no spoilers!) I cannot wait for the newest season to begin and I highly recommend this podcast for anyone looking for a great horror podcast! It’s full of twists, turns and you start to view Micheal and his friends as part of your friend group.

I don’t like apocalyptic stuff. I avoid things like the walking dead. But this podcast? I love it. I’ve relistened to it at least four or five times. I’ll never be over the first heartbreak of finishing the original season for the first time.

I think the first few episodes were a little over-dramatic, but then they started building nicely and then it just remained really good! Only a couple of small details I didn’t like: (1.) military would never call a magazine a “clip” and (2.) if you were on the receiving end of a rifle shot, you would hear the impact before you would hear the rifle shot… 2023 update: everything after 2019’s Goldrush just tanked in comparison to the earlier episodes.

After 5+ years of annual relistens, We’re Alive has cemented its place in my heart as an all-time favorite. I just finished listening from “It Begins” to the end of “Descendants” for the first time and cannot wait to start from the beginning again. Even if I know what’s coming, I am still engaged and immersed in the story. It is so intricate and thought out, I feel like I catch something I missed with each new listen. I look forward to putting more pieces together as new content is made. The storytelling and production value is simply incredible and truly makes you feel personally connected to the characters. It really is a great escape while driving or going out on walks. I am so thankful to have come across the We’re Alive universe and hope to have it to listen to for the years to come. 🧟‍♀️♥️

Love it but why new episodes since march?

saul is the goat. great writing and acting there. looks like the writer started out writing women annoying and cliched but evolved eventually into seeing them more as individual humans. we’re always glad to see a writer evolve.

I have listened to this ENTIRE show twice. The voice acting, the sound effects and the suspense building are incredible. Can this show be turned into tv series or something like that because there is no chance it doesn’t blow up. I want to say more but I don’t want to spoil it. DON’T SKIP the shorter shows they all tie together and listen to them in order. Enjoy!

This is by far my favorite podcast! I wish they would make it into a movie!!!! I have listened to every episode twice now and currently going through my 3rd time but this time with my son. I couldn’t find a way to get him to sit still during car rides until I introduced him to this. He tells everyone about it and he also loves it. Sadly I haven’t found any other shows that compare.

Aw come on upgraded and mutated infected with their own ecosystems?? Really?? 😂😂 Now we’re entering Hunger Games meets Zootopia lol. Armored infected let’s be real you guys have to come up with some better “original” material. Lock down and Gold Rush were just fantastic. Lost interest in Descendants.

This podcast is amazing. I have listened almost every episode. The original story was captivating. They writer and actors painted the scenes extremely well and I felt like I was in the environment myself. Lockdown was great Goldrush was hilarious. Then all of a sudden in Descendants the story and who exactly is talking is not always clear. What makes it even more confusing is a new character Dean's "parents" apparently are 2 lesbians. So not really his parents.. then you hear CJs daughter talk about how much she liked Nick but dated a girl before. We dont need to pander to the gays. Just keep it normal and it will be less confusing.

I started We’re Alive: A Story of Survival over two year ago. I never finished and recently decided to start back where I left off and the show has not disappointed!! I’ve listened through A Story of Survival, Lockdown, and now am currently going through Goldrush. And let me tell you, after two installments of drama, tensions, and survival. This hilarious installment has been a nice break before starting Descendants! Multiple times per day does this have me bursting with laughter. It’s a good thing I work alone, otherwise I’d catch a few weird stares. Highly recommend this series. I’m glad I came back to finish. And delightfully found out that Descendants is a proper sequel. Can’t wait to start listening to that one. Better than I could’ve imagined when I started listening a few years ago.

I’m going crazy with the dot dot thing. It’s annoying. I’ve enjoyed this overall saga for years, but lately it’s been hit or miss. The focus is lacking in my opinion. As a whole body of work, We’re Alive universe is impressive. Just not feeling these characters much.

I LOVE this show. I found it back in 2019-2020 when I use to work for Amazon. Listening to it on my deliveries definitely helped the day go by fast and kept me interested. Every since then I’ve heard ALL of the different versions/seasons at least 20 times over through & through! Also have put a couple people onto it as well. Even tried to audition for it once but I wasn’t in Cali lol. This is a Quality

Wow, talk about a thrilling ride that keeps u wanting to hear more. I have been looking for a audio drama that will help me kill some time at work and boy did this one fill that void. It’s basically the last of us in a audio version. I’m about a quarter of the way through right now and am so excited to see what’s next for this Exceptional apocalypse drama

I’ve been looking for good and engaging fiction podcasts and they are few and far between… This one though is incredible not a dull moment throughout the entire Descendants series. And lockdown is just good so far! Keep it up! Great work!! It’s a must listen!

I have listened and Re listened to this story so much I have lost count. The SOS, Lockdown, Goldrush and now Decedent's. I love how all the storylines have tied together throughout the multiple series. I would compare this audio drama to LOTR, Star Wars, or Harry Potter as being an instant classic. Thank you for the hard work you put into this incredible series.

Hands down, my favorite podcast. The voice actors are superb and the storyline is very engaging and intriguing. I highly recommend!

WA is the best audio drama show to ever hit the airwaves. Everything from the writing all the way down to the sound of a squeaky chair is just perfection. Each of the series brings you characters you love and/or hate. I’ve listened to the show a couple times through and each time I learn something new. Best show ever.

My experience with the audio drama podcast community all started with this one. When I was going through one of the toughest school years back in 2019 and my depression was at a high. This was the one audio media that was always there for me every day. The original series was the most I’ve ever been engrossed in a story, with characters I grew to love and the world I got to know every day. Through the highs of lows of the story I would listen to this every chance I get, and I’m currently on my 8th re-listen as I’m preparing for when I start We’re Alive Decedents. (It also was my inspiration to do audio dramas ever since)

If you enjoy audio dramas then you must listen to this show. Long car rides or long days at work will fly by. This show is easily my favorite and I always look forward to new episodes. Excellent writing, and characters put this show in a league of its own.

The top tier Audio drama out there I’ve listened over 10 times since I found it in 2015 and I love everything that goes into this podcast. There’s so many details and the audio quality is amazing.

We’re Alive is the best podcast. The story, the acting, and the music is all high quality. This podcast will fill you with dread, anger, sadness, joy, and every emotion you can think of. KC Wayland is an amazing director and writer and weaves each storyline perfectly. Highly recommend this 10/10 podcast.

I will admit I started listening pretty late (in mid-late 2021), but it’s been a great ride so far and it’s exciting to be apart of this journey. I’m one for a good story and this here is it. The editing is great, dialogue is seamless, and it overall just feels like watching a movie. The narrative is engaging and hardly ever misses a point in terms of plot. Keep it up guys, and I highly recommend giving it a listen to anyone on the fence about it.

Words cannot express how anxious I am for Mondays! This show is one of the greatest pieces of entertainment ever. Update: many, many years later this is still my favorite and the best podcast I’ve ever found. Monday’s have moved to Tuesday’s as my favorite day. The content delivered is the best quality and they never stop surprising me. Prepare to get HOOKED! #werealive I’ve been listening to this show for over a decade and they continue to produce the best quality podcast I have ever found.

I wish I could re-listen to this podcast for the first time! I discovered We’re Alive in 2017 and I’m always replay it a few times out of the years. With everything going on now I can’t wait for the next chapter in descendants and the future for We’re Alive!
