Came here because of the Crrow Crew interviews and listening from the beginning. Ray enjoy what’s brought to the table. Thanks for your work.

Keep up the good work!
Love the show! I was one of the people introduced to this show by the TFH William Tell discussion. The presentation on the recent Machine Stops episode was impressive! I hope there are more occasional episodes like that in the future with the audiobook style. (Also, I did not know EM Forster wrote any sci-fi.) I’m re-listening to the Howdie Mickoski interview now :)

I love this show
Just a couple of friends laughing hysterically. I love it. It’s nigh impossible to be in a bad mood listening to these guys, their laughter is contagious.

Poorly edited, low budget, overly crass, and I love it
I’ve been listening to this podcast mostly by accident since I lived in Dallas years ago. I think this podcast started in Austin and was very small then (and is only quite small now), but I notice myself checking it as often as Drunk History for certain American history topics, and learning a lot about people like Andrew Jackson, people who illuminate their time as well as their own ignorance and imperfections, and genius. It’s great because it’s like buzzed, longform history, but it’s the whole world, and you hear about weirdos like Tarrare. I wish it would branch more eastward and southward into more world historical figures, but I enjoy the concentration on American and Western figures so this isn’t a criticism. My only criticism is that it doesn’t have the money or connections or whatever it needs to reach out to historians who are not being heard much right now, and could illuminate on topics that need illumination now, topics that are being muddied or forgotten as the frame of history, our country’s in particular, is set on negative, simple, and entirely exploitative. This last monologue non-episode whatever, on Labor and Class, was an apolitical consideration of the hierarchies that naturally form in any economic system, and I appreciated that too. I’m not sure what Aaron and these guys’ purpose really is with this podcast, but we need to talk about dead people. We aren’t even listening to the old these days.

Creative and fun
Love this podcast! Aaron C’s research takes the listener into the most interesting facts and George finds the weirdest ones. The editing, music and sounds keep it moving and fun. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a more exciting look at history rather than the dull textbook way.

Ok
You guys are stupid for thinking Roman von Ungern-Sternberg “introduced” religious tolerance to Mongolia. Like absolutely braindead. Please read anything about Ghenghis or Kublai Khan. Plus he slaughtered Jews endlessly

11/10 -Highly Recommend
We Talk About Dead People is hilarious. They’re informative about history and the weird aspects no one gets to learn about, but they do it through a comedic perspective. Never boring. Highly recommend, 11/10

11/10, I recommend you talk about Jack Chick.
He was one of the most widely read theologians in human history up until his death in 2016. He also looked like Slim Pickens and 99% of his work was absolutely insane. I don’t know how much about his life you’ll be able to find, as he was kinda reclusive, but you could easily spend an hour just reading his comics.

Eh
Could be good. They veer off topic a lot. Then you're like, Damm. Get back to the topic of the show. Geez. Like I said. Could be better.

Hatfield and McCoy episode
I came so close to shutting this episode off. The beginning was very distasteful. The overuse of the word hillbilly and the overused stereotypes of the people of Appalachia being nothing but inbred idiots was definitely in bad taste. For me, you lost a lot of your credibility. I was convinced that you had not done your research. For some reason I kept listening and it got a little better, but not much. My grandma and her family came from Southern West Virginia to Ohio and I always wondered why she got so mad when people made hillbilly jokes, but now I understand.

Brush off some dust bunnies and carpet crumbs, waft away the vape clouds, and you'll find a ridiculously entertaining and raucous slice of historical sketches of some of the most fascinating and weird people. Have a listen, if you dare.

One show in
I listened to the Mao/LeVey show. It was a a combination of a history podcast and drive time talk radio for people who need some swearing and hijinks. I think my politics are fairly similar to these guys. Their discussion is very base level, but that’s good for wanting to learn something new and mixed with the jokes. I will listen to other episodes. One critique said in love- one of the hosts says a janky OKAY a few too many times. Maybe I’m not in on the inside joke, but you should only pull that out 2-3 times in an hour of podcasting (in my mind).

A show with momentum
We Talk About Dead people is a hilarious mix of comedy, drama, storytelling, and history. The pacing is perfect, with the sound design, skits, and progressively building back story, WTADP is like Mystery Science Theater for your ears.
