One of the highlights of the week
I first discovered this show at DragonCon in 2015. I went to hear the MST3K cast, but left as a devoted Person of the World. I enjoy listening every week. I am constantly surprised by the fact the topics that may sound like they would be the least interesting, often result in the most entertaining debates. Mark and Hal clearly enjoy talking with each other, and always make the listener feel like they are included in the conversation. Their presence on social media, and interactions with the People of the World in social media platforms and YouTube town halls add to that feeling. Mark, Hal, producer Ken Plume, researcher Kate McManus, and everyone else connected to this show make it a joy to listen to!

This podcast is pure joy
Just discovered this podcast a couple weeks ago and I can’t stop listening. If you’re looking for a fun, light distraction - this show is a fantastic choice!

I don’t even care what they decide!
I love listening to these two friends cover trivial debates! They tell wonderfully funny stories while still being amazingly thorough in their research. It’s such a joy to sit in; then I take the debates home to my husband!

First Time Listener, Long Time Fan
I've listened to Thrilling Adventure Hour through it's entire original podcast run, and Welcome to Night Vale since its inception. And yet, somehow, it took me 6 YEARS after We Got This started to stumble upon it. Mark recently guested on Good Morning Night Vale and they mentioned the pod. I was shocked, I tell you, SHOCKED!!! "I love Mark & Hal," I thought. "How did I miss this?!" Since then, I've started listening and am already 25 episodes in (long work hours help). I love this show, even when I disagree with their decisions. I love podcasts that make you feel like you're part of the conversation, and too often I find myself talking/yelling back to the hosts. I love Mark & Hal's rapport; their friendship is markedly endearing. I also have really enjoyed their guests so far.

Fun, friendly conversations determining the answers to “important” questions!
We Got This has been one of my favorite podcasts since I started listening in 2016, and since we’ve been stuck inside during the pandemic, it’s become even more so. The podcast picks an “important” topic to decide during each episode (such as Best Pop Tart Flavor, or Should You Put Ketchup on a Hot Dog) and reaches a conclusion while discussing facts, opinions, and personal anecdotes. Whether they’re talking about which Willy Wonka kid is the worst, or whether “cookies or bars” are better, Mark and Hal always provide warm, funny, friendly, self-aware, and often educational conversational chats about interesting topics that keep me company while driving, cleaning, or just hanging out. I don’t know whether I enjoy more the genuine affection and silly banter between these two longtime friends & talented performers talking to each other and us, the “People of the World;” the fun discussion topics; or the occasional (heh) tangents and impromptu skits - but whatever these two are talking about, it’s always a good time. (And props also to their producer Ken Plume for his good work in editing and producing the show.) They also include talented and fun guests on many episodes, which adds variety and different viewpoints. I 110% recommend We Got This with Mark and Hal to everyone (it’s family-friendly) and suggest you give it a listen. Thanks, Mark & Hal, for being your awesome selves and for sharing your thoughts and company with all of us. The People of the World love you for it.

The Greatest Objective Answers Come to Subjectively
Hilarious or funny? Thought provoking or deep? What’s the best word to describe this show? Who cares because it’s always entertaining and one of the hosts if from Philly! So listen just for great insight on the best pretzel shape.

Hilarious for all
This podcast is hilarious, and they make it quite inclusive to all. They spend time explaining various topics and their history. Mark and Hal often say, “For those who don’t know..”, and it is SO helpful. Definitely binge-worthy!

Awesome podcast
Since the dawn of time, two podcasters have had hilarious conversations about the really important issues, like whether you should put ketchup on a hot dog, or the correct way to hang the toilet paper roll. Every week, comedians, improvisors, and Workjuice players Mark and Hal decisively settle some topic long debated in bars and break rooms across the world. Many a bicker and squabble has come to an end because of the wisdom of Mark and Hal’s conclusion verdicts. Mark, Hal, and their producer Ken together have an encyclopedic knowledge of all kinds of pop culture. Many, many episodes have been about Disney, Marvel, or Star Wars. The Muppets, Looney Tunes, and Hanna-Barbera are also commonly referenced. Besides pop culture, there have also been copious episodes concerning food, especially breakfast food. Where to get it, ways to cook it, and how to eat it. Deciding the best variety of a certain food has been the topic on quite a few occasions. Sometimes the topic-of-the-week is one I’m not familiar with, like sportsball or ways to cook meat, but that’s okay because the sound of Mark and Hal’s voices is comforting and familiar, even if I don’t know or care what they’re talking about. Often the topic has been thoroughly investigated by Kate, their researcher, who frequently provides the guys with a detailed dossier on the history and culture of the current topic. On other occasions the topic requires no research at all besides what Mark, Hal, or their guests already know. In either case there will invariably be multiple unrelated tangents before the conversation is eventually steered back to the topic at hand. Sometimes Mark, Hal, or one of their guests will share fascinating stories of their careers in show business, like Hal’s very uncomfortable experience doing extra work on a TV show, or Mark’s adventures while filming Blood and Treasure. Other times, Mark will share a juicy anecdote of his various escapades, such as several run-ins with the law due to his inability to drive a car correctly. Mark’s friend Robert has been involved in multiple such anecdotes, including questionable life choices made on New Year’s Eve, and the incident with the Wienermobile. Hal has also made some questionable life choices. He once ate an apple pie in the shower, a story he has told not only on We Got This! but also every other podcast he’s ever guested on. Eventually they wander back to the actual topic and come to their conclusion. Usually the final decision is reached by mutual agreement following informed and considered discussion. Other times it ends when either Mark or Hal convinces the other of his point of view. And a few times it ended in a complete debacle involving pretzels and Christmas movies. John Hodgman had to mitigate one such fiasco on his own podcast, Judge John Hodgman. I don’t remember what the verdict was, but I’m pretty sure both Mark and Hal are still doing community service for that one. Mark and Hal have had many guests join in their discussions over the years. Their Workjuice buddies and Night Vale friends make frequent appearances. Hal and Paul F Tompkins are both from Philadelphia, where wrench fights are a common occurrence, apparently. Did you know Hal is from Philadelphia? If you didn’t, fear not because Hal will certainly mention it again very soon. Sometimes the knowledge and experience of an expert is required for a certain topic. Such occasions call for special guests who have been personally or professionally involved with the subject, like Kirk Thatcher for the Muppets, Matt Gourley for James Bond, and Jonathan Coulton for novelty songs. And when recording live episodes at conventions, Mark and Hal are joined by whole panels of friends and experts. The best thing about We Got This! has to be Mark and Hal’s friendship. It’s clear from their conversations that they are great buddies with many shared interests and a lot in common. They make you feel like you, the listener, are their friend too. They’re very approachable on Twitter as well and are usually happy to chat with fans. There is also an active and surprisingly nonviolent Facebook group for the fans to discuss episodes and suggest topics, which is run by Hal and Ken, because Mark is notoriously bad at social media. Starting with episode 228 (Worst Font), they began taking topics suggested by me, Kristen Kelly. As of this writing, they’ve done six full episodes of topics I’ve suggested, plus two clean slate mini-topics. Now every week at We-Got-This-o’clock I refresh my podcast feed while selfishly hoping that they’re chosen another of my terribly clever suggestions. And I most certainly do NOT get a teensy bit infuriated when they choose some other person’s topic instead of mine! Why would you even say that about me? Geez! Also, Mark and Hal are now afraid of me because they think I’m spying on them. More specifically, they think I’m spying on Mark, since I appear to have some mysteriously acquired knowledge of his shady, shady past. It’s actually totally innocuous how I came to know these things, except they don’t know that! I’ll tell them eventually, but in the meantime, it really tickles me that I’ve inadvertently acquired “spy” status in the eyes of my favorite podcasters. In conclusion, people of the world, grab a ketchup-less hot dog and an overhand toilet paper roll, because don’t worry everyone, We Got This!

Interesting topics!
Great podcast but it would be even better if they stayed on topic more.

Such a quality podcast
Like so many other people, I love this podcast! This one is by far my favorite. Mark and Hal are so funny and so charming as they talk about various goofy topics that you can’t help but love them, and they have great chemistry as podcast hosts! You can tell that they are really great friends. I’ve been listening for five years, and while I haven’t gotten to every episode, almost without exception the ones I have listened to have been delightful. I should have left this review way sooner! Highly recommend!

Favorite podcast
I LOVE this podcast, definitely my favorite. It’s hilarious and a whole lot of fun. I have re-listened to my favorite episodes and they still make me laugh out loud. I recommend this to anyone who wants to have fun. This show will appeal to many ages, my 38 year old dad likes the show as much as I a 12 year old does.

Always good fun
These guys are hilarious. One of my top five podcasts. I love their tangents.

Two Nice and Funny Guys Talkin’ ‘Bout Stuff
If we had to rename this show, that’s the name I would suggest: Two Nice and Funny Guys Talkin’ ‘Bout stuff. Because to me, it honestly doesn’t matter what they’re talking about or debating; it’s simply good, clean fun to listen to these two friends chit chatting. This podcast just tickles my fancy and makes me smile. Keep up the great work, mark and Hal! -Cheryl Crow (the other one, not the singer)

Awesome Podcast!
I love listening to Mark and Hal talk about just about anything. Agree or disagree with the outcome of the question being asked and answered, the journey is always engaging and entertaining. It feels like I’m sitting around a table having a lively conversation with good friends.

Not Opinion -- Science!
Mark and Hal are terrific hosts and somehow manage to make choices I have zero investment in compelling and hysterical. Extremely fun and wonderfully produced.

One of my favorite podcasts
“We Got This” has been one of my favorite podcasts for years! Mark and Hal are always witty and humble, their commentary often gives me new perspectives to mull over or google on my own, and I love that they don’t seem to take themselves too seriously. Have fun listening to them!!

Asked and Answered
Listening to Mark and Hal is a joy. There are plenty of podcasts I’ve disagreed with some of their rulings and yet it’s still fun to hear them get there. There’s been only a handful of topics I wasn’t interested in listening. The guests are lovely, especially when they’re work-juice players. Would highly recommend this podcast.

This is a podcast. That’s like a radio show or something.
I wanted to give them 1 Star for the hotdog ketchup BS but Hal asked nicely for 5 stars and I’m a sucker for good manners.

Just awesome
You guys make my possibly mundane days full of joy and laughter! Love you both! It’s a great show!

Have you ever had some sort of weird discussion with your friends in the car at 2:00a? No? Just me? Well my friends and I seem to do this more often than not. Everytime it happens I wonder if anyone else cares about things the way we do. Mark and Hal have similar discussions on this podcast and they’ve got a huge fan base so people must care, right?! I’ve been with them since the beginning thanks to TAH and they feel like two of my oldest friends.

You gotta get this
So entertaining, so funny! Mark and Hal and sometimes guests really break down a topic from A to Z and back to front and cover the whole spectrum to find out the best representative of that topic. We may not agree on the outcome but the deliberation is thorough! They also have a really great Facebook group full of nice folks and they are open to listener suggestions. It was such a pleasure to hear my suggestion of Best Christopher Guest movie discussed! People of the world! Podcasts should have a theme song!!

Wonderful!
The cohosts, Mark and Hal, are great. Clearly good friends who like to laugh and I find myself laughing right along with them. I enjoy the episodes and look forward to new ones. Appreciate the clean silly fun that is put out for all to enjoy.
fed up in MI.
So long
Unsubscribed today. This makes me sad. Your podcast used to be so fun! But after the infuriating Tarantino episode I’m out, and not because I disagree but because it makes no sense! 1. ZERO editing. 2. Why have a guest come on that’s not really fan and enjoys not liking movies? The constant egging on about True Romance was so childish. 3. Why have a poll on something when not everyone has seen all the movies? Plus I’m tired of seeing both of you sway what seems like a solid opinion over little to no valid debate.

Let’s be honest, this is the best thing ever.
People of the world, when it comes down to the best podcast ever, it has to be We Got This with Mark and Hal. I can truthfully say that this podcast is my cure for Atlanta, GA traffic. It’s hard to get angry at crazy drivers or frustrated with gridlocked cars when I’m wheezing laughing as Mark and Hal debate the best donut, worst computer font, or best Mel Brooks film. There truly is an episode to fit every taste. I had the privilege of my first encounter with this podcast being a live recording at DragonCon 2019. I have been hooked ever since. The guests are incredible, the banter is on point, and I can also say I’ve learned a thing or two. So if you are looking for something to listen to, treat yourself to this podcast. Best “As Seen on TV” Product is guaranteed to give you one hour and thirteen minute’s worth of pure entertainment. And it just starts there. Stop denying yourself this joy and go listen. Right now.

This podcast is INSANE!
This is one of the best podcasts I’ve EVER heard! The theme song is brilliantly catchy, and for any Night Vale listeners, Steve Carlsberg VS. Hiram McDaniels! FIGHT! Also, the celebrity guests are GREAT. I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Good As They Get
This is one of the ONLY podcasts I listen to. It sets the gold standard for podcasts. It makes you laugh and also makes you think. Even if you don’t agree on the final decision you still have a great time listening. None of it is anything serious so it couldn’t possibly be interpreted as offensive. You don’t need to listen to every episode in order because they are all their own masterpiece. You learn a lot and may even try something new when you hear about on this great debate podcast. Yep, We Got This is the best as they come.

Like hanging out with them...
Listening to this podcast is like hanging out with two friends who are really funny and snappy. They are all over the place in hilariously unexpected ways. They crack each other up all the time. It's great.

Hilariously getting everything wrong
Mark and Hal + aluminum foil hats = WeGotThis Can’t stop laughing!

Expect the unexpected
Love the unexpected tangential branches the hosts’ conversations often take. They have a easy & natural rapport with each other and their occasional special guests. Everyone seems to be in on the joke. This isn’t rocket science, and they’re not brokering world peace either. But the topics they cover hold a degree of importance to many people. So there’s still investment for the listeners and the podcasters.

It has been decided that this is the best decision making podcast. Asked and answered.

Get some closure.
Do you worry about not knowing what to think about the most importantly mundane stuff in the world? Just listen and relax. These dudes will tell you the right answers to all of life’s massively non-important questions. They’re funny. They’re witty. They are you. And they have the answers.

Fun podcast!
These guys are genuinely funny people. Their conversations are always fascinating. They take what you think would be a boring topic and make it funny.

Joyous Escapism
Mark and Hal answer the irrelevant questions! Pure hilarity, they spend a bit of time on topic, but mostly meander along tangents and offshoots and enjoy one another’s company. They get great guests (especially Workjuice Players) and their online community is shockingly friendly and well-behaved. We saw them at SF Sketchfest and they put on a fun show in person, as well.

Mark and Hal for the win!
There’s no debate that Mark and Hal are awesome! I started listening a couple weeks ago and have thoroughly enjoyed binging it. They make me laugh and think at the same time. It’s highly enjoyable.

It is a funny and easy way of finding the correct answer to problems

It makes the time fly by!
I will never forget the episode about how to put the toilet paper in your bathroom! It settled an argument in my own house! These two are hilariously funny! You can listen to them settle any argument l, it doesn’t matter and of course their word it’s final! The latest episode about John Williams movies score was my favorite lately. Also love the clean slate ones...just download and listen to them all you are not going to regret!

I fell in love (well, heavily like- don’t worry, I’m not stalking you) with these guys on the Thrilling Adventure Hour and love hearing them banter every week. Thank you guys for being such a bright spot in a world that’s truly gone mad.

« Kiss Fingertips » Delightful
Okay two things: 1) Mark please do audiobooks and/or date me - Either way all I want is for you to read to me; 2) If you listen to this on 1.5x speed, it’s exponentially more hilarious, which is saying quite a thing.

I've listened since day one and it's seriously taken me this many years to figure out how to review my favorite authority on all things even slightly controversial. Don't worry, you're doing it wrong but Mark and Hal will set the record straight! You won't want to miss a second.

Truly great and unique show, love these guys.

They got this.
I was talking to a good friend of mine about a debate I had with some people on if it was ok to put ketchup on a hotdog. My argument was, mustard is superior, and I’m not 5 years old. He told me about this podcast and it was the first episode! I then went down a rabbit hole with Mark and Hal on Star Wars vs Star Trek, who is the best Beatle, best movie trilogy, toilet paper over vs under (OVER). Very funny and entertaining podcast, and they have awesome guests like Nathan Fillion and Wil Wheaton. Scroll through the topics, find one you like, and then strap in and enjoy the show!
