I can’t relate to Libertarianism because it seems relentlessly negative. Instead of constantly finding the flaws in others, why not build something positive for yourselves?

The Libertarian party is a wide range of thought and ideas . I don’t hold out much hope for these want to be political commentators . They can’t see that 45 was leaps and bounds better than 46 than there is no hope for this podcast . Mean tweets vs 7 plus percent inflation. 45 never started a war and had an Afghan withdrawal agreement and 46 screwed that up and people died . 45 had Ukraine protected and Russia wasn’t knocking on the door . Trump was no saint but if you can’t see energy independence, lowest unemployment rates in 40 plus years , lowest ever unemployment rates for minorities, stocked shelves and cheap gas vs a bumbling idiot that has screwed the country than you Chris Spangle are as stupid as Bob and Tom .

Lefty both physically and politically but I’m here listening and opening my ears to other peoples views. Great content, nice flow. Awesome to listen to. I’m hooked. Looking forward to future episodes!

This podcast is a good introduction to libertarian principles without the infighting and purity tests you will get other places. The hosts are open to evolving their opinions and give many different perspectives. It is informative, entertaining, and has just the right mix of humor and philosophy to keep you interested and coming back for more. If you’re looking for information on what this whole libertarian thing is all about give them a listen!

that makes sense and doesn't make me angry

I try to listen to every spectrum of Libertarians out there. I’m a huge fan of Spike Cohen, Dave Smith, Justin Amash, and Chris Spangle. Everyone of them have their place in the libertarian movement and Chris’ place is to bring me back to earth and give me a grounded take on the news of the day without getting emotionally attached to it. I appreciate his objectivity!

Love the podcast and the whole network

This is a wonderful podcast with a refreshing libertarian take on politics and modern events. It’s an alternate libertarian view from other podcasts I listen to, but the one that makes the most sense to me. Try it out!

I very much liked the show when I first started listening almost a year ago. Less and less as times goes on. Now rebranding to ‘The Chris Spangle Show’ I find to be lazy and detracts from the collectivism of liberty.

Since I joined the We Are Libertarians fandom in early 2019, many of my views have been challenged & I’m so thankful for it. After listening to this podcast & going through the current election season, I have opened my eyes to all of the bias & fluff that national news media spits out. Chris dedicates his life to this show & you can tell! He truly cares about giving information & context to all the stuff you hear about. Definitely check out the older episodes (2018-2019 I think??) where Hodey Johns & others spend 30 mins on interesting topics. Also, if you like the show, become a patron & listen to the show from the beginning. You won’t regret it! The older shows are hilarious & it’s really cool seeing how the show & Chris himself grows. This show started my journey to libertarianism & has given me so many resources to grow my liberty mindset.

If you want to agree with everything you are hearing and never be challenged to think about a subject you might want to avoid this podcast. Thoughtful commentary that is backed up with actual sources that come from all over... wow, what a concept.

I see a lot of negative reviews because they heard a viewpoint here with which they disagreed. I come to this resource, and I follow Chris Spangle’s social media for that very reason! I know already what is coming out of my echo chamber of favored personalities and I am not learning much from hearing Red and Blue amp up their emotional rhetoric. So by hearing these differing takes, gives me away to assess my own stance or at least inspires me to check some different sources for a more full background on specific issues. If you just want to hear what you already think, then record voicemails for yourself and listen to those. If you are trying to learn something - then listen to this and exercise your critical thinking skills.

The podcast is great. If you’re looking to feed your conspiracy theories, this is not your place. They make their research and let you see their sources. They have great debates with different libertarian perspectives.

This podcast is an honest discussion into various topics and is open minded to all ideas. They take a step back to look at facts, not feelings.

This show is refreshing because they approach current events without the typical left/right partisan bias. You’ll get a libertarian perspective, not a libertarian party perspective. Chris Spangle, the host is not afraid to to dish it out to both liberals and conservatives equally.

Chris Spangle is definitely Trump deranged. While I personally glad that Trump has lost, I’m sad that Biden has won. Spangle is spending his time to rub salt into the wounds of Trump voters and casting aspersions against libertarians that disagree with him. Chris appears to have a personal grudge against Republicans, Trump voters and various factions of the Libertarians. I expect more from Chris Spangle. I expect him to hold Biden and Democrats to the same level of scrutiny that he has expressed against Trump, Republicans and libertarian who have differing opinions than he does.

Love this podcast and all of your commentary/point of view! As someone new to libertarian concepts, it always makes me think twice on how to interpret and dig deeper into current topics/headlines. Are there not a lot of female libertarian voices out there? That’s my only critique ☺️ have some female voices on here lol.

This podcast is more along the lines of Democrats pretending to be libertarian. Of the 3 episodes I have listened to they just cry about the right and the president but never mention the left

This is an excellent podcast for news and commentary from a libertarian perspective that dispatches the typical spin and talking points of the usual voices. Chris is an excellent, experienced host, and the show has just enough professionalism to be taken seriously but not so much as to be stuffy. Keep up the great work WAL!

This is a great podcast that encourages Libertarians to be critical of both sides, and of yourself. It can help you to learn more about Libertarian ideology, along with capitalism and classical liberalism, and help you to debate with others better.

(If you obviously exclude Tom Woods) This is the best libertarian podcast out there. The crew is a blast to listen to, and they do a great job explaining things in a way that is both easy to comprehend and easy to put into conversation at the water cooler at work. Super fun, I just wish they didn’t have lives so they could put up audio content more frequently, haha. Check the live streams on FB too. Highly recommend.

Hands down, the best Libertarian Podcast out there. Audio and production qualities are top notch. Topics are always timely and substantive. The views are clearly libertarian, from a wide range of various libertarian-minded individuals. Will all libertarians agree with 100% of everything everyone says? Of course not, that’s not possible in any forum. But, agree or not, the views presented are principled, honest and will make you think. Conservatives will like some stuff presented and hate others. Liberals will like some stuff presented and hate others. Bottom line, you will learn new information from We Are Libertarians and be entertained at the same time.

All Libertarians should subscribe to this podcast

Very long episodes and they do not stay on topic for very long. The shows could easily be a fraction of the time. They stray closer to the “stereotypical” libertarian and at times even conflict with libertarian values. If you want hot takes and opinions with a libertarian slant this is a good show; I’d avoid if you’re looking for anything of substance about libertarianism.

We Are Libertarians is a great show that breaks down important topics and explains things from a libertarian point of view. Love the main show and the other shows that they have like The Swamp Explained or The Cost. Love having all the well researched topics being broken down so anyone can understand them.

Unexpectedly long, but worth every minute. Dark days in our history. Historical perspective that helps bring together so much by a very knowledgeable student of the period.

I was so happy to run into this podcast and it’s affiliated podcast We Are Libertarians is very well thought out and done. I am originally from Indiana so it was nice to hear some libertarians from Indiana speaking up keep up the good work

Proof of how thin libertarian ideas really are and why they’ve never worked anywhere. It’s not a valid societal construct, just immature “nonconformist” bull

I throughly enjoy the information that they finally get to, but there’s usually 20 to 30 minutes of just babble you have to endure before you get to the meat and potatoes.

Hard to find political podcasts not toeing a party line. When I found this I got excited and gave it a listen. Garbage. First hour consisted entirely of a discussion with a kid about his drug addiction. The next hour was them talking over each other and making sophomoric jokes about mass shootings. No real insight from any of these clowns, no ideals discussed. This show will never be confused with a sit down with Thomas Sowell or Ron Paul. But if you’re into twenty-something’s in their parents basement talking about heroin and 8 Chan, this is right up your alley.

The podcast is really informative. They cover what’s going on in politics in layman’s terms. They break it down and give you the facts as well as their opinions. Chris is the man.

Normal people discussing current events from a libertarian perspective. I love that they have so many different voices and perspectives.

The hosts are very knowledgeable and are able to break down complex topics so that anybody can understand. The best part is that they don’t just tell you to believe them but they will send you their show notes so you can come to your own conclusions. They are enjoyable to listen to and I have learned a lot about the libertarian philosophy.

Always a good listen for some funny commentary and great insights on the politics of the day! I love listening to a political podcast the discusses all sides to every issue. There’s no yelling, name calling, or fighting. It’s just intellectual conversations regarding topics that affect us everyday.

Great mix politcs and humor. I love the cast of characters, even Vibbs.
