I always enjoyed Colter Wall’s music when I heard it. One day I decided I’d listen to some more of his work. So I downloaded his entire discography. Upon hearing “WB Talking” on Colter’s self titled album I became intrigued about who this man WB Walker was. So I did some quick google’n and found this amazing podcast. Thank you, WB for what you’re doing as these episodes make the days in the shipyards and the time away from family on the road that much easier to deal with. If only he would turn up the gain when he is talking. The level changes so much I have to get out of my lazy boy to adjust the volume between the music and the talking. Maybe it’s the am radio reception but you know.

I’ve come across so many new county/bluegrass/roots musicians from this show.

Only listened to two shows. But he doesn’t play a bad song.

This show is without a doubt one the best country / alt country shows anywhere. WB has a depth of artists from all over that he shares. This music would be largely unheard if not for him. Thanks for your love of this music. Carry the torch.

If you like classic country or alt country or anything that is not mainstream country, this is the show for you. Not every show is great but I discover so many new artists and songs, it s a must listen.

Great way to discover new music!

W.B. Walker has his ear to the rails and keeps me between the ditches in this outta control world. One of the few shepherds left to keep us in good company with true country-soul and -rock. I’d join satellite radio if he went Outlaw Country. Heck, just get on Walker’s train, jump on where you can and hold on! You will never look back...

This is a podcast where a guy hosts a show that plays great country/western/alt country music. I absolutely hate all of the bs “country music” heard on the radio. I love this show plays real music that is more in line with outlaw and alternative country. If you like bands like cash, willie Nelson, sturgill Simpson, etc... You’ll like this. However if you like bands like Luke Bryan or Florida Georgia line... you won’t like this and you should continue listening to said bs on the radio.

Been listening to a bunch of junk that doesn’t sound like the kind of country I grew up with in Bama. Then this! Gholee Moses; W.B. Walker. Old Soul Radio Show Turned My Ears On.

Not much else to say, it’s as simple as that.

I first heard of WB on Colter Wall’s debut LP and was thrilled to find out it was a real show with a podcast of the recorded broadcast. Consistently fantastic featured music - I’m listening to the episode featuring three favorites in Vincent Neil Emerson, Charley Crockett, and ol’ brother Colter Wall - with the production touches that make me feel like I’m riding down back country highways at midnight with my dad in his old GMC. You owe it to yourself, WB, and these artists to subscribe and listen.

This podcast slaps. A great way to find new artists.

Plays real tunes for people who like real music.

I found this podcast through searching YouTube for music like Colter Wall and Tyler Childers. Just liked the fact someone had a show about the music I wanted to find, them WB talked about working to exhaustion but wanting to share some awesome tracks on the show featuring Ben, Hill Country, and Lost Dog. Dude is the kinda guy that likes the music for what it is. keep going WB. I’ll keep listening.

The Old Soul Radio Show throws a strike right down the middle for anyone looking for good, grassroots country music. My thanks go out to WB for his great work. Can’t recommend enough!

Man you can feel that he feels it and let’s you take the ride with him. I’m digging it

W. B. finds the next big thing in outlaw country before they blow up. It is unreal. Some of my favorite episodes are when folks just come and sit and chat in front of the microphone between songs and beers. It is like listening to a radio station that only plays the music I want to hear.

...and off I go to iTunes to spend between 6 and 20 bucks. Great curation of new music. Great broadcasting style.

W.b helps keep me updated on all the best music.

This is one of the only podcasts I truly look forward to. W.B. has helped me discover my favorite musicians/songwriters (Colter Wall, John Moreland, Tyler Childers, others) and does it in such a non-pretentious way. I feel like I’m part of some extended radio family and am so grateful for his efforts and knowledge. Thank you for all you do for musicians and listeners!

This show has such a comfortable, down home feel to it. It’s like sitting with an old friend & enjoying your favorite music. Unpolished & at times raw but always real. So pour your favorite beverage or two, put your feet up & give a listen.

The tone of this entire show is always spot on after being set by “the” Hank Senior. I just wish I’d found out about Ole W.B. before Coltor Wall’s album but so glad to know about him now. Awesome show.

Gets me through work, to work, and has a drink with me after! Hank would of done it this way!
