Never walk alone
Really appreciate BlisterGuy and his Hearthstone knowledge. It’s great to have a short Hearthstone podcast available some of the longer ones just feel like homework to listen to. His sign off is great and really puts me in a good mood. Thanks Legend!

Heavy Breathing, Bad Takes, and Politics
If you like someone who is out of breath talking with absolute certainty and being wrong, and using three times as many words as necessary to narrate a game of hearthstone, this podcast is great.

My favorite Hearthstone podcast ... and I've tried them all
A year ago, I subscribed to every Hearthstone podcast available in itunes. Gradually over the course of this year, I have narrowed my HS podcast subscriptions to four. And if I had to further narrow them down to only one, Walk to Work would be that one, without question. This isn't a slight to the other HS podcasts--many of which are excellent and well worth a HS player's time--so much as a high compliment to Walk to Work and the host, BlisterGuy. A typical episode of Walk to Work is around 30 minutes (significantly shorter than most other HS podcasts) and consists of two parts--a discussion of a topic of current interest to the HS community (such as the current meta, an upcoming expansion, etc.) followed by playing a game or two (he plays with a different deck each episode). The first part of the podcast--the discussion portion--is where the host, BlisterGuy, really separates himself from the pack of other podcasters. Perhaps because of his self-imposed time constraint, his discussion is focused and concise. More importantly, he almost always offers a more thoughtful, balanced and compassionate discussion of the topic at hand than other podcasts and the major HS websites. BlisterGuy seems to be less prone to simply express anger or frustration and much more likely to examine the topic in a mature and insightful manner, no matter the topic--such as when the HS balance team seemingly drops the ball (such as with Evolve and then Gala Shaman) or HS corporate issues an apparently draconian punishment to a Grandmaster for voicing support for Hong Kong protesters or a different Grandmaster makes a mistake during a GM match because he is simultaneously playing in an auto-chess tournament. No matter the topic, I generally come away from BlisterGuy's discussion having gained a more empathetic understanding of the underlying issues. As for the play portion of the episode, BlisterGuy does a fine job verbalizing what is happening in the game and his thought process as a player. The host is no slouch as a player--he reaches legend rank most months--but he's not an elite, GM-level player. Yet I often learn as much or more from hearing his discription of a single game than I do from watching multiple games on an elite player's Twitch stream. BlisterGuy verbalizes what goes on in the head of a player during a HS game, including his strategy and what he anticipates is the opponent's strategy. When he plays a deck that I will probably never play--such as any Wild deck or an expensive one that I am unlikey to craft--I usually listen anyway, because his thought processes are still generally applicable and helpful to any player looking to improve. And I appreciate that, after the game, BlisterGuy devotes a few moments to considering how he might have player better. Finally, BlisterGuy ends every podcast with the phrase, "Good luck in everything that you do and I love you all." Frankly, this phrase uttered to a bunch of faceless podcast listeners would sound cloying and insincere coming from most people--including myself. But BlisterGuy manages to pull it off. It always leaves me with a smile, feeling more positive and compassionate towards myself as a HS player, towards other HS players, and even towards the world in general. And that's the highest compliment I can think of.

Great Podcast for all Hearthstone Players
Blisteguy literally walks through anything and everything there is to know about the game, meta, esports, and community. His delivery and personality makes it feel like learning through a friend. The short two part episodes make the podcast easy to add to your weekly lineup. Blisterguy uses the first part of each episode to discuss and evaluate a large range of topics related to the game. The second part of each episode is a live game casted by Blisterguy himself; with in-depth play by play of each turn.

Very informative and unique.
My fav part is the end when he talks thru his game. I can listen and visualize and learn without looking at a bright screen while I’m going to sleep. Thanks for your hard work!

First Podcast of the day
Walk to Work is probably my most consistant listen and usually the first podcast i pop on when it downloads in the morning. Rey is great and explains a lot and has a great delivery. The background sounds make you feel like you are commuiting with him. Give it a listen!

Intersectional leftist hearthstone commentary
Blisterguy is a great caster and his show was once fun to listen to, and his community as well as the show felt inclusive. This inclusivity felt like a nice break from things that divide gamers. However he has begun to pepper in divisive political viewpoints and stating that if people disagree with him about it he doesn’t care if they continue listening to his show. I disagree with some of what he says but even if I didn’t, I didn’t come to a hearthstone podcast to be lectured about feminism for 30 mins. So I stopped donating on patreon and listening all together. This is the case with friends of mine as well. I hate to write a bad review about a show that I once loved, but the political talk just ruins it for me. Apparently even blisterguy can’t manage to forget about politics for long enough to do a podcast. What a shame. His discord is also filled with a lot of people that share his viewpoints and are militant in their squashing of anyone who doesn’t share their point of view. Those being mostly pc culture, feminism etc. Some ever border Marxist beliefs (not exaggerating). His show is insightful and brilliantly charming when he remembers that he doesn’t work for cnn. Sorry to write a novel, just a long time listener missing their favorite podcast. This isn’t a knock on BG as a person. He seem like a great guy, but he’s alienated a lot of his audience.

A fun podcast with a genuine host. The episodes are (usually) bite-sized but still manage to pack in a ton of useful information and analysis.

Bite-Sized Brilliance
Walk to Work is my favorite short-form Hearthstone podcast. Blisterguy packs a ton of great content into his episodes, three per week, and they are perfect for my daily commute to work. The topics range from reactions to recent game news, to anecdotes about his various game experiences, to deeply introspective segments on the mental aspects of the game and how he engages with it. Plus, every episode has a live play game where he talks through all of his plays and shares his thinking, which is great for providing insight into how a repeatedly-legend player tackles the moment-to-moment of a wide range of matchups. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone interesting in hearing more about the game. Roger Alix-Gaudreau (aka ItinerantWizard)

Nice blend.
This is a nice blend of HS opinion on current events and in game commentary. It uses a really creative format too. Nice job man.

Love it!
Love this podcast! Blisterguy does an amazing job of making you feel like you're with him talking about the game we all love. That plus creating the discord community has made the game that much more enjoyable. Keep up the awesome podcast!

Fantastic
Best part of my weekly commute and it is like a coaching session each episode. Blisterguy covers a wide range of topics each episode and then plays through a couple of games each episode. He narrates each game going through his decisions and thoughts each turn. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Walk to work walked it's way into my heart
If you need a quick 20-30 min Hearthstone podcast that keeps you updated with the ladder/tounament meta and plays a top tier deck, this is the podcast for you! Ray has and always will be one of my favorite personalities. I look forward to each episode and can't wait for that new Walk to Work icon! Keep up the great work. Chad W aka CLW75#1845

My favorite Hearthstone Podcast
This is my favorite Hearthstone podcast. It airs multiple times a week, covers the most recent events and being so often it's usually the most up to date. After reviewing events he will usually play 1 game with an interesting meta deck and will talk you through your plays. Being a 30 minute podcast it's usually good clean and too the point.

The perfect Hearthstone podcast
Card game veteran Ray Walkinshaw (aka blisterguy) brings his expertise from years of playing, writing about, and covering Magic to this educational and entertaining Hearthstone podcast . Recording three times a week on his walk to work in Sydney, he delivers short lectures about a relevant topic in Hearthstone (dealing with tilt, game balance, and card reveals among them) then plays a game or two with an interesting deck, describing each move he and his opponent make. He has said how as someone with a family and career, this is his version of streaming, and for those of use with similar obligations, it's definitely a great way to get your hearthstone fix when you can't look at a screen. blisterguy is also active on Discord and Twitter, where he posts the deck codes for what he plays on the podcast, and incredible infographics that compare different builds of the top decks. Great listen, highly recommended.

Gold standard
This is BY FAR the best Hearthstone podcast recorded by an Australian while they walk to work. ;) Jokes aside, Ray knows the game and he knows how to talk about it in a way that is both entertaining and illuminating. Just don't tell him Kingsbane Rogue is a mill deck.

Favorite Hearthstone Podcast!
This is a 45-min. podcast in which a delightful Kiwi provides relevant commentary on the current meta in the first half, then plays a couple of live high-ranked ladder matches. He describes these matches beautifully, including his decision-making process, which is the highlight of the show. This is all recorded while dodging traffic, avoiding jackhammers, leaf blowers, snakes and spiders in the country where all the wildlife is trying to kill you. This is truly a must-listen!

Fantastic Podcast
Honestly the idea to begin with you have so many quality questions, however, the quality is actually absolutely stellar for someone walking through public playing hearthstone and Blisterguy keeps track of subjects still. Mechanically this is an insane podcast and the production is absolutely stellar. A great listen for anyone looking to play some Hearthstone and receive insight into a high end player's choices.

Walking to Work, think I have time to write a review :-)
I look forward to seeing a new episode of Walk to Work 3 times a week and Blisterguy never disappoints. I enjoy hearing his take on the latest Hearthstone news or his commentary about a given HS topic. But what's really interesting is all the fantastic decks he find to play while narrating the action. Like hearing the thought process he's going through as he plays through the games. A great podcast you must try!

I didn't think listening to someone play a game while walking to work could be so entertaining!
Seriously, I didn't have high expectations when I heard the premise of the podcast but I decided to check out Walk to Work HS after hearing blisterguy on another podcast. It's become one of my favorite podcasts. It's the perfect length for my commute to work, Ray has great insight into the game and a light-hearted approach to it, as well. Highly recommended!

Light hearted honest games!
Ray / Blisterguy gives some great perspective into the game and has sound advice for people of any rank. Insightful infographics on twitter. Happy listener even though you kept me from rank 10 (that game, I got it two games later).

Insightful and Entertaining
Bilsterguy is great... In each episode he covers a interesting HS topic for 10-15 minutes and follows that by talking through a game or two. insightful and entertaining!

Great podcast
The all audio format for playing a visual game seems like it wouldn't work, but it does. The format makes you focus on all the variables involved, additionally The hosts Witt and insight combine to make for a really compelling 20 minutes.

One of the best Hearthone pods.
Love, love this one. If you are a hearthstone player, or even if you just want to listen to a guy with a cool accent drop knowledge a few times a week, this is a must listen. The insight into what is happening currently in the game is absolutely second to none, and I listen to all the hearthstone podcasts. Keep it up!!!

Amazing Podcast!
I am a new listener. Just started 2 weeks ago. I am a huge fan of original content. Walking to work and narrating the game is a super original idea. I work a lot and my job has many periods of downtime. I usually fill this time with podcasts and now I look forward to the 3 episodes a week! Keep up the great content!

This podcast is great. Blisterguy is one of the most involved persons on the Hearthstone scene. I listen to nearly all the Hearthstone podcasts. I subscribe to over 10 of them. Blisterguy and Ridiculous Hat are the only hosts I feel are into the game at least as much as myself. Keep up the good work!

Lo-Fi gone Hi!
Great show by Ray done in a quick, rapid fire show and done on the road is tough to do, but still fun to listen to. If you like the lo-fi podcast approach that style is nailed here. Content is 10/10

Fantastic for Work
So I came across this podcast one night while staying late at work. Figured if being home playing wasn't possible, listening about some games would be the next best thing. Sure enough I come across this podcast about a guy heading to work playing as I'm trying to get out of work. It instantly got me hooked on Hearthstone. Blisterguy is easy to listen to, has good knowledge, and I'm really grateful for this podcast. Please enjoy!

Best Hearthstone podcast period
Super insightful, always interesting and fun. The best Hearthstone podcast I have come across and I have listened to most of them! And it is just one guy talking to himself on his way to work, who knew? (it's kind of like he is BMing all of the other Hearthstone podcasts with how easy he makes it seem) Would be good even if you could care less about Hearthstone, great sense of humor and pleasant to listen to.

Very knowledgeable about the game and has great insights but he doesn't take the game too seriously and enjoys himself. It's also the perfect length to listen to on my drive to work.

Good Stuff
Great podcast. The audio is a little rough in some episodes but I think I like it better that way. Makes me feel like he is just another average dude playing hearthstone, instead of a pro-player. I love the wittiness throughout the episodes. P.S. My beard you have never seen is jealous of your beautiful beard that I have never seen.
