Heidi Galore’s humble podcast is obviously a labor of love, which puts her at the top of my list of favorite shows. Her steady voice, and personal and professional insights keep the show interesting. This is a simple, straightforward podcast, without sound effects or voice actors. This format respects the victim, presents the facts, and provides a voice to stories that might go forgotten. I absolutely love Heidi.

Heidi Galore (is that a great name?!) is new to podcasting but is a talented and natural storyteller. Like "Casefile" this is a quiet & thoughtful podcast, that covers some lesser known crimes.

Found it 3 days ago, waiting for next installment. Really like it! A lot. Just the way it is presented is interesting, kinda personal. Her background in law enforcement helps a lot, giving a little perspective. I had not expected to see an episode on the Colonial Parkway murders, something I learned about (freaking me out!) right after I moved to Virginia... Well researched and well presented. Plus, the background info on organizations like NAMUS.gov is such a help. Thank you!

I just came across this podcast by doing a search. Even though the episodes are relatively short, they contain a lot of information and seem to pretty well cover the subject in the amount of time. Good production as well and being that I have no idea how much time and effort goes into creating something like this, I would love to hear more. Even if it is only an episode every few weeks. I will spread the word and hope it continues.

I love the host's voice; it's soothing and smooth. This show is very well produced. I like to save up a few episodes and marathon them. She is very easy to listen to. I appreciate her approach and insight on these unsolved cases. Her law enforcement background informs the podcast in an interesting way. Thanks and keep up the great work! Also, thanks for the knitting podcast recommendation. Funnily enough, needle work and true crime are two big interests of mine.

Have always been intrigued by unsolved mysteries (watched every episode of that show). Found this podcast after listening to Real Crime Profile podcast when they discussed the Colonial Parkway murders and I checked out the Wikipedia page on it and saw this podcast also mentioned there. Was actually in the Navy at the time of those murders and stationed in Norfolk Virginia. Don't recall hearing about them at the time but find the stories fascinating.

Interesting stories but the narrator is awful. Really poor voice for radio or podcasting.

I was going to give this a chance but after hearing you say while being interviewed on another podcast that you ask better questions than the exquisite and brilliant Sarah Koenig is unbelievably disrespectful and arrogant.

This podcast almost never updates. Which would be fine but the host continually promises to make updates that never come; some podcasts just end without sending emails promising next episodes then continually missing those dates. They get pushed back month after month. The first 6 episodes were excellent then there was a big gap. The latest one was obviously done in a hurry, was half-baked and the editing was off. Odd music would come in at awkward times and was too loud to hear the dialog. Either do it professionally or not at all.

I really love this podcast. Heidi tells a great true crime recount. My only complaint is that they are too short!! I'd highly recommend this podcast to other true crime enthusiasts. Very interesting!!!

Your work on the Colonial Parkway Murders is amazing. I'm terrified, I'm fascinated, my heart is broken for the victims. Your voice is gentle, the music is soft, it's all exactly what I want in a true crime podcast.

On the very rare occasion there is a podcast to listen to,it's very good.. Irritates me that she asks for money when all she can muster is 20 minutes of material every 6-8 weeks!

Love this podcast! The personal anecdotes at the beginning of each episode grab your attention and absolutely enhance already great storytelling. Keep up the great work!

Heidi Galore's subdued narration, while not 100% perfect (there are one or two near stumbles per episode that are barely noticeable) is effective in bringing these cases to life. She also manages to begin most cases with a illustrative story from her own life that draws in and and sets up the reader for cases, creating a sense of resonance between presenter and audience. Couple that with the fact that she works in law enforcement specializing in missing children and you have makings of a great show. Each episode gets better production-wise, with only one of the most recent episodes having a strange echo effect on the voice. For someone who has never done a podcast before, she is already starting strong and the stage is set for the show to get even better.

Love this podcast. Only prodblem is not enough episodes. I am just about to donate to the podcast to help with reducie this.

This is an excellent true crime podcast, in the vein of Criminal, Breakdown, Serial, and others. What makes it unique is Heidi’s singular perspective, style, writing, and tone. The Colonial Parkway series was truly chilling, creepy, disturbing, and gripping not because of any flashy editing tricks or cliffhangers, but because of a great sense of storytelling, curation, and straightforward writing, pacing, and delivery. Highly recommend.

I love Heidi's straight forward approach of the facts. I really dig the hosts stripper name too. I listen to all the true crime podcasts and most have some weird gimmick like drinking beer or other liquor or have a look at me approach. I appreciate Heidi's honest upfront no gimmick no look at me, just the facts way of podcasting in the true crime genre. Keep up the good work! I'm here for the long haul and I'm sure I'm not alone in my respect for your honest reporting of these often forgotten crimes. Absolutely Love this one!!!
