Great podcast. Nuanced tv coverage, up to date, and most importantly: funny.

Go-to for TV Reviews and Discussion
It took me a while to accept Brian Grubb as a replacement for Dan Fienberg, but he's now a natural interlocutor for Alan and brings his own weirdness with his corny humor and love for Zoo and The Young Pope and other weird TV out there. Alan Sepinwall, of course, is the TV critic to beat all other critics, and the first person I always go to when I want to know if a new show is worth my time. Keep up the great discussions!

his is the best TV review podcast
Alan and Brian seem to watch everything, and I value thier opinion. Thier reviews are fair, not too snarky, in depth if the show or movie deserves it. I particularily like Brian's insight, and usually agree with him, as in 'The Accountant'. Alan has been reviewing TV and Movies for a long time, and I enjoy hearing about his selections to binge watch with his daughter, may I suggest 'Dead Like Me'; I love that series and its not too sexy for teens. Go Eagles.

Alan and Brian are a joy to listen to
I loved the old podcast, and I wasn't expecting to like this one as much. I don't. I actually like it better.

Nerds (But in a good way)
These guys are dorks and I love it. Sometimes they can get ridiculous (Ok, mostly Brian) but I'm sure he loves that observation. Came for Alan, now I love them both. Please visit my GoFundMe to keep "Zoo" alive...

My weekly update on what's happening in TV
Now that my wife and I have two kids, I'm not watching nearly as much television. Brian and Alan are a great guide into what's worth my time and what's best left behind. Thanks for all you do guys!

Great podcast
A great podcast to listen to when your driving. Love the banter and great insight to the current tv landscape in Peak TV. Sepinwall is the best

I was a huge fan of Alan and Firewall & Iceberg before this, and I’ve quickly grown to love Brian’s earnestness. The “Bad Boy of TV Podcasting” indeed.

Love this show!
Very informative & I find Alan & Brian highly entertaining

This has the "Fire" but it needs more "Ice"
This is a low-cal, gluten-free version of the late, great "Fire and Ice" show that Sepinwall hosted with Dan Fienberg. That show's gone and it's good to have Sepinwall back, but his new co-host Brian Grubb is Richard Roeper to Fienberg's Siskel. Grubb seems like a nice guy but he's often squeamish when it comes to any material that's particularly challenging and his opinions run wishy-washy and not-very-deep. He recently said "Mindhunter" should be more like "Law & Order" then added that he would continue watching because the lead reminded him of an actor whose name he couldn't recall, which is akin to listening to a critic tell you about their dream. Try a little harder, man.

My Favorite Podcast
I was a huge fan of the Firewall and Iceberg podcast and so disappointed when Alan and Dan Feinberg had to stop the show. TV Avalanche has filled that hole. Alan is as sharp as ever and Brian has proven a worthy successor to Feinberg. The show is entertaining and a great resource for TV fans.

Love it but
... I may be alone in not loving the ZOO/"hey isn't this terrible" focus. I just don't find it as crazy as you do, and would prefer you do stuff like on F&I where you look at old shows. It was weird for instance that you spent valuable time talking this crappy Asylum productions quality show last week instead of MINDHUNTERS, which I was debating whether or not to watch. Still will listen every week, just a thought.

Stop. Saying. Like.
Alan is the best, but this podcast lacks a little back and forth. I didn’t always agree with Feinberg on the old podcast, but I appreciated his perspective, him challenging Alan or the fan consensus from time to time, and making me consider things I wouldn’t normally think about. I wish Alan and Brian would challenge each other more often (but not “spar” or become a bad debate show). And Brian, for the love of everything, stop saying like!

The bad boy of TV podcasting is here
Alan Sepinwall is the most knowledgable and thoughtul TV critic out there. Brian Grubb, the bad boy of TV podcasting, is a lovable goofball. What more do you need?

Interesting and Entertaining TV Criticism
If you miss that old Sepinwall podcast associated with that other web site and with that other co host, then you will likely enjoy this show and its cohost even more.

I've engaged a ride or die protocol
Two of my all-time favorite TV critics talking Saul, Good Place, Bojack & NY-Philly sports talk? Oh hell yes. Just wish there were more eps to binge.

Too Much Great TV
There's too much quality TV to keep up. I rely on this podcast help me sort what I should try and what I should avoid. Really enjoyed the Mo Ryan guest episode. And the all Zoo episode was surprisingly entertaining.

Great hosts, great overview.
I'm a cinephile, but the era of peak tv (and growing into my twenties) has me watching a lot more television. "TV Avalanche" is a perfect weekly overview of the most important TV of the week.

Glad Alan is back podcasting
I really enjoying listening to this show on a weekly basis and it keeps me informed of new shows to watch as well as providing commentary on some of my current favorites. I do wish they would stop spending so much time talking about horrible shows like "Zoo" and horrible basketball teams like the Knicks/76ers because there is plenty of quality shows that they don't touch on regularly enough.
Wmohandisw
Great TV podcast!
Very much enjoying this show! Covers the wide span of TV (as much as possible) and gives insight that’s both entertaining and informative. I never thought I’d be curious about Zoo, but here we are.

I will follow Alan Sepinwall anywhere
I've been a fan of Alan for years, following his writing at various online outfits. Learning that he had a podcast where he was sharing his views on TV "live" was the impetus - several years ago - for me to figure out how to listen to podcasts at all. I enjoyed his old pod with Dan but I am just as delighted to listen to Alan and his new co-host Brian Grubb. They had a good rapport, play well off one another, and have varied interests which makes for a good show with wide-ranging reviews. Keep it up, fellas!

Best TV podcast out there!
Alan is the premier TV critic working today and this weekly podcast features him and Brian Grubb talking about new TV shows about to premiere. They also recap big shows that everyone is watching like Game Of Thrones, The Americans, etc. A must listen if you are self-respecting TV fan.

Love both hosts. Sepinwall is the critic I trust most with my tv selections.

It's Peak TV in America
It's Peak TV in America, and there's an avalanche of content to watch. In the modern TV environment, it can be hard to know what's worth watching and what you should skip out on. Alan and Brian do the hard hard work of wading through the morass of TV content to help us answer those questions. With the occasional discussion of the Phillies, 76ers, Yankees, and Knicks thrown in, how can you say no to TV Avalanche?

Sepinwall is the best in the biz and Grubb is no slouch either. This is your bible for witty discourse on what's worth watching in the televised landscape.

Getting There
Glad to have Alan back and I do think the chemistry between the two hosts seems to be getting better. At first...a lot of akward pauses, but they are improving. A fun listen. Those quizzes have got to stop though. Please.

Regardless of how much TV I'm consuming
Sepinwall's work is a necessary companion.

Sepinwall is back!
Great to finally have Sepinwall back podcasting. Plus he has Bad Boy of TV podcasting, Brian Grubb, alongside. What else would you ever want?

Brockmire
These two fine gentleman introduced me to Brockmire, so I will love them forever. Alan doesn't like Psych so his opinion is no longer valid but he's still a good guy, I guess.
RayRayMagee
Can barely listen to it
They spoil or hint at stuff too frequently and Grubb can barely talk through anything intelligently. It really destroys Alan’s ability to discuss anything with any insight.

Surprisingly Bad
I read Alan Sepinwall every day and consider him one of the 5 best TV critics in the country. His insight over the years has greatly increased my appreciation and enjoyment of fine storytelling. This podcast is an excellent example of how talent does not always transfer to another medium. Where in print he is thoughtful and precise, here he is too often awkward and silly. His co-host does not help matters, and together they fall into the trap of which TV critics accuse many a show: self-indulgence. Five minutes on Elizabeth Warren's love of Ballers? They would be better off leaving such riffs to real comedians. And for goodness sake, Uproxx, buy these two some professional-grade podcasting microphones. It sounds like they're using tin cans and a string.

Alan and Brian and their Peak Podcast
Love this podcast. Alan and Brian are great together and the shows they discuss are right up my alley. Highly recommend.

Unfortunate
They get far too cute with "avoiding" spoilers. They will notify you every time a surprise event will happen and sheepishly play around with when and what happens. They are good reviewers and are entertaining, just play around with the spoiler line a little too much

Exactly What You Expect, Exactly What You Need
Alan Sepinwall and Brian "THE Bad Boy of TV Podcasting" Grubb give you a solid hour of good conversation about TV shows. They give insight, reviews, thoughts and feelings without being mean or dickish. It's a fast listen with two funny people. It could maybe use some kind of theme song intro but other than that it's perfect. Follow Brian Grubb on twitter @BrianCGrubb for hot takes, nonsense ponderings, and a bit of added joy in your life. Full disclosure I do not follow Alan but I'm sure it's as good of a follow.

Best TV Podcast period
Loved Sepinwall and Fienberg's podcast, it was the best thing to listen to all week and was devastated when they had to discontinue. My tv tastes are pretty much the same as they have so it was an easy shorthand to picking up new shows. Glad that Alan is back podcasting, even if it can't be with Dan. If you are looking for great and succinct television analysis there is no better podcast out there.

Already my favorite TV podcast
I've long been a fan of Sepinwall and was disappointed when his previous podcast went away, so I was happy to see him return to the medium. This is an excellent podcast that does an admirable job trying to keep up with the incredible amount of TV content. Sepinwall also has funny chemistry with the bad boy pop star of TV podcasting, Brian Grubb. Definitely recommend.
