My favorite
I have listened to many true crime podcasts and this one is my favorite by far. Very informative and great chemistry between the guys. I love how you can feel how they really put themselves into their research.

Best podcast ever!
True Crime Garage is the best crime podcast I will ever hear. I like the cut of their jib. I would love for them to have another live event when they can so I can experience the magic in person. Big fan!

Not solid or reliable
The research seems to be light on actual investigations, but more of We listened to all the other pods on this subject and here’s our half hearted synopsis, but aren’t we smart???

Amazing Show
I love true crime and my mom used to listen to true crime podcasts at work. When she told me about them I started to listen to them while I work. It makes my day go by so fast and keeps me calm when work is stressful.

One of the best
This is a phenomenal podcast. My only complaint is for whatever reason, every few episodes Captain seems intent to interrupt every 5 seconds for literally no reason at all. When its happening, it adds nothing to the conversation. I can tell Nic is just as annoyed as we are when he does it. Thankful he doesn’t do it all the time. Because when it’s bad, oh my God it’s B A D.

Misinformation
I have loved your show until tonight. Your story of 11/23. I know nothing about the case but as to your description of Martha’s Vineyard and access is so wrong. For her to get to Chapaquidick she would have to go to MV first. It is a very small island off of MV with a 100 ft crossing. ( Ted Kennedy). I now see you do NOT do real research and lead us astray. Wondering the path that is not a real path. Much confusion.

The best
Informative but always at least one thing to chuckle about. I love how the Captain will make a snarky comment and Nik will just keep talking like nothing happened. My favorite podcast

Crime podcast
I spent over 21 years in law enforcement and I regularly look for true crime podcasts that are done well. True Crime Garage has remained my favorite since I discovered it approximately four years ago. The content and presentation are excellent and I’ve recommended this podcast in every podcast discussion I’ve had. Thank you for what you do.

Pretty Good
TCG is pretty good. Good variety of cases and decent research. Sometimes the “Captain’s”, blubbering and silly comments get old. Also, neither one of you are veterans and clearly don’t know how military operations and bases operate. So, please stop assuming and projecting your opinions on military base access and how NCIS works their investigations. The correct acronym is NCIS not NIS. Just so know, NCIS will do everything in their power to sweep sexual assaults under the carpet, especially at overseas commands; because that is considered an “International Incident”. Educate yourselves so that you’re not spreading misinformation. Trust me, I served stateside, overseas, and onboard.

Mixed review
I’ve only listened to a few episodes, and The Captain is nearly intolerable. I’m a flippant person, but even for me his attempts at humor are too much for the subject matter. And his serious comments are just repeats of what has already been said. If it weren’t for him I would really enjoy this podcast.

Love the dynamic
Love to listen to you guys, I’d easily recommend it to my friends, but I’m sorry, f¥ck Joe Rogan!

Was digging them for a while but then
They started opining about societal issues/prison system/etc and that was the end of my listening to these guys. Started sounded like ReThuglican Radio and so it’s “So, long, fellas!”

Big Love & a 1 Star Penalty
This is one of my favorite podcasts. It’s actually fun. Love the intros and outros the Captain composes. However, over the past year (2019/2020) the commercial time has gotten humongous. Three straight minutes a pop... so I’ve deducted one star. Seems they are adding one full minute of ads per break every season. Where will this end? Also The Captain seems to have gotten on an autotune bender — which hurts my ears.

Great true-crime
Levity and facts. Great rapport between the Nick and the Captn’. They believe in the constitution, they blame the criminal not the weapon and they are even handed with law enforcement. Not inherently anti-cop, but point out the shortcomings.

Case Suggestion…
I’m not sure if you guys take any suggestions for your show but have you ever heard of the mysterious unsolved cases that haunt Bardstown, KY? You have the case pf a missing woman (Crystal Rogers) the murder of her father a year later (Tommy Ballard) and also the unsolved murder of a cop Jason Ellis…. Just thought it might be some good material for you guys to cover.

Why is there a Captain?
What is he captain of? All he does is repeat what Nic says, he doesn’t bring anything to this podcast, it’s torture listening to him. I tried giving him a chance for quite a long time, but I finally gave up and stopped following because it’s that bad. He’s the captain of stupidity! Captain of boredom! Sorry this is so mean. I can’t help it, he really does make this podcast unlistenable.

Used to be so good
Updating my review because this used to be such a great podcast. It is sooo boring now. Even the hosts sound bored. The stories aren’t being done justice with the endless droning. It would also be nice to toss in a solved crime every now and again. Or maybe call it “unsolved true crime garage.”

One of the best in true crime
Great podcast, they often cover little-known cases or cases that don’t get much attention. Thorough coverage of cases with commentary that doesn’t make you want to shut it off. Also NOT anti-police like many other TC podcasts but present a fair assessment of the investigation. Great balance of humor and serious discussion. Five big stars!

Quality podcast
If you love true crime you will thoroughly enjoy this podcast. It's the perfect blend of unsolved one-offs, and riveting deep dives into famous and perplexing cases. The hosts are relatable and professional, inquisitive and common sense. You won't be disappointed! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ XO TikTok: @jennareviews Instagram: @JennaMahanay

Terrible- like one guy reading a news article
One guy reads reports and “the captain”- who I guess is a matier’d at a restaurant, popping occasionally with a dumb quip. Neither are experts in crime, have no knowledge of evidence, forensics or investigations. My barber can do more analysis and critical thinking than these two. Especially maddening was their show on Kevin Cooper -a serial burglar, kidnapper, probable rapist and escaped convict AND CONVICTED MASS MURDERER. Even a second Governor ordered review of the investigation confirmed the conviction. Proves these two can’t catch an easy fly ball such as the Cooper case.

Love you two
Love the dynamic between these two good, solid men. I so appreciate how factual/analytical one is… and how understanding/inquisitive yet sometimes inappropriate the other. The balance is perfect. (Intentionally leaving out names here bc listeners will know). And y’all still maintain the sensitivity and empathy required here. I’m so grateful for you both - in so many different ways!! I wait for each and every episode Tonight’s episode made me change so much about how I see you two. You’re acting like you’re speaking on behalf of the gun lobby. I understand you’d like to live in and ideal world but we’re not there. Ask a school shooting parent what the difference would’ve made if it’d been a gun or knife or acid. And the patrons of the country music festival in Vegas… or the shooting in FL at a gay bar… ask them what would’ve made the difference. - Kate from SC

My new true crime obsession!
These guys are AMAZING! I have contributed on Patreon to several true crime podcasts in the last several years, but had started feeling bored with my true crime content. Enter Nic and THE CAPTAIN! Give these guys a listen - you will not be disappointed! I am binging all the episodes from the beginning and they are all so, so well done. Amazing research and super authentic banter between Nic and the Captain. I’m not a beer drinker, but I still feel like I could join them in the garage and drink my vodka cranberry 😉. Each episode feels like I’m just hanging out with a couple guy friends! Run, don’t walk, and add TCG to your library of true crime!

Great podcast
Interesting cases and thoughtful hosts.

Pay for the first 50 episodes 🥴🙄
I gave 3 stars because you have to purchase the first 50 episodes. I don’t like starting in the middle of a podcast, I like to start at the beginning. I feel like I am missing out but I also don’t want to pay- what if I don’t like it!

too pro LE…
they’re not willing to admit MOST of LE are lazy, liars, power hungry and bullies…but continue to kiss their feet…also…deeply sexist…it’s so deeply engrained, i don’t think if it was pointed out, they would admit it…

CHEERS MATES YOU’RE THE BOMB.COM!!!
My all time favorite true crime podcast!! Been a fan for awhile now!! The Captain and Nick are awesome!! They do a lot of different cases I haven’t heard before, in depth research, and are passionate about each case they cover. I love how they have several 2-3 part episodes sometimes even more and each episode is about an hour or more longer!

The Best!
You might want to widen the garage door, because this review might give you the big head! For the guys who taught me it is NEVER a mannequin and your head pops off if you get an ulcer…you are in a league of your own. You take care to report the facts as they are objectively from different perspectives which is so rare now. Love you both and keep up the fabulous job!

More stars, please
The best true crime podcast. I need more than 5 stars for this one.

Favorite!
One of my absolute favorites! Lately, though, almost every episode is unsolved. I've actually actually gotten to the point where I've stopped downloading them as having no resolution on any episode is too much :/ Would be great to have more solved cases thrown in again. Love the hosts tho.

Pet Peeve
Great podcast absolutely love it! One pet peeve, though, cohost has to stop referring to people in trials being found. "innocent" when he means not guilty. It is not the same thing. Nobody's found innocent if they aren't found guilty.. Not guilty just means prosecution didn't prove their case. not that the person is necessarily innocent. As a former prosecutor i'm here to tell you it's a common mistake, but I always like to correct it when I see it being made, especially on a true crime podcast.

Essential for true crime fans
These guys are top notch. They have great banter and really dedicate their full attention to the cases they discuss. Love listening to this podcast. One of my favorites.

A must listen!
I have been a fan of true crime garage since I stumbled upon their podcast! I love the captains remarks and funny commentary! The shows are long and often times are more than one part! I don’t have to wait a week to get part two like most others! I enjoy listening while I get ready for work and drive to work. These guys go in depth into many true crimes and explain details vividly that it feels like you’re right next to them as they go over the cases.

One of my faves
This is probably my favorite podcast since Murder Squad ended. They go in depth when there’s enough information to do so, and when there is good or bad police work they say so. Glad I found this since they have done a lot of episodes and it will take me a while to catch up.

When was the last time they actually did a solved case? Kind of annoying listening to them speculate like detectives

Fantastic crime podcast.
I really enjoy listening to you guys. The detail & information, and the professionalism that you bring to the podcast.

Pretty solid
A pretty solid podcast. I only found them about a year ago and I have to admit, I prefer older episodes. I liked how much they were willing to admit they weren’t experts and it gave it the feeling of chatting with old friends. I also used to get super uncomfortable when one or the other host would insult the other and they’d just keep going without acknowledgement. I have since learnt that there are brothers and that made it so much less cringy!

1st Years of Podcast Great; Now I’m Skipping A Lot
Solid true crime podcast hosted by an Odd Couple-ish duo. The first years of podcast were really great. (And I rated five stars.) Now I find myself tuning out what’s being said, stop listening to a case mid sentence or skip entire cases altogether.

Love!
I been listening from way back living at the Jersey Shore all my life. Now living in the Connecticut River Valley. Yikes! Your episodes on this area is scarier then living with the Jersey Devil in my back yard. I’am referring to the Barbara Agnew case. Darn serial killers up here too. But seriously, your episodes are so good .I’am enlightened. Thank you for the information. You 2 are Fabulous.
