Saint Monica? More like Devil Monica
I curse Saint Monica for encouraging me to listen to this podcast because now I AM OBSESSED with Elizabeth and Andy. I used to get excited about Armchair Expert episodes dropping but now it’s NLR that’s got me looking forward to Wednesdays. I’m also listening to all of the previous episodes at 1.25 speed so I can get caught up. Elizabeth and Andy - I love you two! Thanks for putting this podcast (and yourselves) out there; your conversations and laughter are life changing in ways you don’t even know.

Title? Idk
This is my favorite podcast of all-time, and I have truly ran the gamut of podcasts. Weirdly enough you all have opened my eyes to the need for my husband and I to have nightly talks after putting our kids to bed. It has helped our relationship so much. You each are hilarious and I am so glad to have found you all!

Jim and Pam Halpert in real life
Every time I listen to your podcast I think I am listening to Jim and Pam Halpert from The Office. I adore you both and really love listening to you. Keep them coming please.

First off I love this show I listen every week. But just wanted to say I would’ve killed to see Andy go full Karen and I’m patiently waiting for one of your photoshopped tik toks so I can visualize it. Also as a 26 year old girl, who will never get taken seriously at a car dealership, I appreciate the effort. Oh and this episode had a promo code for Beis (period!) the same day a major collection dropped so thank you for saving me some money :) Please never stop sharing these stories and making me laugh okay love ya bye -Kate

I’m a Christian nobody/somebody
Yes, we’re out here! I’m a Christian nobody/somebody and I also worship Saint Monica for recommending your fantastic podcast. I’m devouring all your episodes from the beginning and am hoping (praying?) that I get to hear Andy read my review when I catch up in 100ish hours. I am so grateful for the way you two tackle tough topics (and silly ones) with thoughtfulness and genuine care for one another. You both are an absolute delight. When I listen with AirPods in public I have to stifle my laughter (it hurts), and you keep me smiling even in LA traffic. You’ve made me an NLR evangelist! Off to spread the gospel to tell others about your amazing pod.

Normally love them
I normally love them and ALL their shows. Totally mommy got me through postpartum with my son. The past few months of this show it seems like every episode is just them saving up everything the other did wrong or was annoying and then argue or nitpick each other on the podcast. It feels like they almost intentionally don’t understand each other and laugh at each other when they are trying to be earnest. It gives me such an ick! They haven’t always been this way so it must be a rough few months for Elizabeth as she seems like the main instigator. I can definitely recommend earlier episodes but pretty much not since 2023.

I Love Listening!
I’m listening thanks to St Monica! I live in Washington D.C. but visiting my dad in the hospital in CA with multiple health ailments. You guys have been a joy in my life! This morning you had me laughing aloud then quickly tearing up as Elizabeth read her mom’s incredible letter. So grateful for you both! Thank you for sharing your quirky and magical lives with us! I’ll be listening.

Already stressed about my love
There’s so much to say. Monica sent me to you in December 2022, I got through all of your episodes with Nobody’s Listening and quickly joined Patreon because I needed more. My mother in law who I was close with passed in April 2023 and I jumped right over to The One Sure Thing. I feel like Andy would relate because I’m fairly constantly stressed that you’ll stop Nobody’s Listening because you said you didn’t want to ever stop Totally Married and then you did. No pressure because I want you guys to be happy but also please don’t stop. Now full circle, Monica has inspired me again because I’m through all the backlog from Patreon and relistening to all of the NLR episodes since she mentioned she does it and I feel less insane for wanting to do so now.

Listening and LOVING
Listening y’all! Just got into listening to Podcasts and a close friend recommended I listen to this. WOW, I just love love this podcast. I’m in the same stage of life and feel like all the things y’all talk about I can really relate to. Every time I listen, i feel like I just had a mini therapy session (weird I know but kinda not). I legit laugh out loud so much listening, and have a smile on my face. It’s bringing me such joy. Thank YOU for being so real, authentic and not holding back what you talk about!

Listening
E&A, A random sampling of your vids on IG convinced me to go all the way back to episode 1. I just got to “Not for the Squeamish” and want to thank you both for normalizing this topic. Listening to Andy conquer his squeamishness by leaning into curiosity is a breath of fresh air. So many men turn into anxious little children when the topic of lady blood burbles up, and I think it’s super lame. Elizabeth, I agree this is why women are so strong: We deal with this pain while pretending (to the world) that it’s not happening E V E R Y month. We bleed-without-dying for days on end without inconveniencing anyone. Your clots-the-size-of-apples story was a HARROWING one worthy of retelling. Also—Proud of you for confiding in a co-worker for safety reasons (shoutout Tammy). Just had to [meno] pause for a moment to thank you both for being so real so publicly! Xo <3 #SentBySaintMonica

I’m Listening…Again!
Started listening after Andy was on Armchair Anonymous (R.I.P. Pilot) and have been obsessed ever since! I’ve listened to all the old episodes and am so excited every week when a new one drops. My husband and I have been trying to conceive through IVF and had our embryo transfer 2 weeks ago. I started to relisten to all of your episodes from the beginning to bring me comfort while waiting to find out if I’m pregnant. In episode 21 (Oh, Canada!), you two are talking about the sim of it all when you started dating, and Elizabeth mentions how she likes to see these things as signs. She said “I see a hummingbird, and I’m like ‘dad!’, but that’s not really a sign for me”. So crazy that Elizabeth mentioned hummingbirds, even though they weren’t a sign for her at that point, since she later got a sign from her parents with the hummingbird outside of their old home after the Brownie incident. Elizabeth, we are definitely living in your simulation! Looks like I will be joining Patreon to listen to Totally Mommy because I just found out I’m pregnant! I can’t recommend this podcast enough. You never failed to bring a smile to my face and lift my mood on my darkest days of dealing with infertility. I love you guys, please never stop making new episodes! ❤️

Patreon listener! Please don’t use my name if you read out loud
Elizabeth and Andy - you’re so amazing. I was sent by Saint Monica (ahhhhh!) - I love listening to yall! I even got my husband listening too bc I find your communication/conversations of listening to each other with humor and understanding, even if you don’t totally see eye to eye, as a model of where we hope to be as a couple but aren’t always are. He also love you! I backlistening to totally married and you are discussing your prolapse post-Otis where I am currently. I currently have something similar, and I would love to hear how your journey has been now since it has been several years. I know you have touched on it some with your current pt situation, but I would love if you talked about it as a whole. Have y’all considered bringing back the q&a - it seemed kinda fun! Regardless, Love all your shows so much and thank you for making them! 😘

WOM Curmudgeon Turned Lover
My bff Allie reccomend your pod to me saying “it’s a cute couple talking about things” my natural reaction was negative because I felt like it will leave me feeling even more single and depressed about not having romantic love & being so single. Gave you a try and had quite the opposite reaction, if anything I’m inspired by your sweet loving relationship and you show such a beautiful representation of what a loving relationship can be! Thanks for giving us singletons hope! Hoping you still read these reviews, I’m only about half way binged!

Okay. I’m finally listening. LOVE.
Ahhhh I love how real and silly and curious and thoughtful you two are; not to mention, the best listeners and reflectors of the others’ musings. So fun. I finally caved after hearing Monica go on and on and on, and am so glad I did. What a catalog to get through! Thanks for putting out this dose of fun and sweetness - it’s a much-needed balm for this wild, strange, difficult, mysterious world.

Thank you
A simple thank you does not feel sufficient. St. Monica turned me to your podcast and Ive binged all of them. Now to become a subscriber!!! Can’t wait to hear more. Thank you for alllllll that you talk about, but more importantly for the laughter. I have laughed my head off in the middle of the night, while eating a meal, while out running… you guys are HILARIOUS and wonderful. Thank you for being my pretend friends. I hope one day you wil go on tour and come to Texas.

Love love love!
Hi Andy and Elizabeth! I just wanted do tell you that I love your podcast. I'm a fairly newish listener who came to you by way of saint Monica. I love your banter and funny stories. I connect so much with Elizabeth because I am also super emotional and can cry at the drop of a hat, and both my parents have passed. My husband isn't really a podcast guy so when I listen I take note of the funny stories and play them for him on Wednesday nights, which is our date night. So far our favorites are the fart corner was closed and Andy's concern that the cat will have to give cat blow jobs because of her addiction to Churu 🤣🤣🤣. Also I just wanted to tell you that that I have never subscribed to anyone's Patreon or any other service to get access to content before, but once I hung out with you guys a few times I signed right up for yours. One last relatable tidbit, I am a Canadian with a Texan husband and Texan teenage daughters, and they are constantly making fun of the way I say EGGS, just like Andy! Love from Sandra in Texas!

Thank you!!
St. Monica brought me to you last year during some pretty bad postpartum depression and anxiety. Listening to y’all (and going back and listening to your entire Spotify archive and a lot of Patreon episodes) brought me so much joy and laughter through sleepless nights! Also Andy’s journey inspired me to get an official adhd diagnosis as an adult! Y’all have truly changed my life and have brought me an incredible amount of happiness and the feeling of community during a lonely time.

Just discovered you!
Thank God Monica Padman mentioned you because I’m hooked! Starting from the very beginning so I’m deep into the period talk (I feel SO late) but menstrual cups and discs have been the BEST thing ever for me since giving birth. My midwife actually recommended it! Seriously game changer. It’s great for the environment and easy (just a little bit of a learning curve in the beginning). Thanks for all the laughs 😊😂

So good!
Love this show! I didn’t find the pod through saint Monica, but am always delighted when I hear her talk about you. It would be remiss of me not to mention that Elizabeth came up on armchair expert this week on the Jon Hamm episode!!! As I’m sure you’ve been told. He (rudely) dismissed the possibility that you went to the same highschool as Ellie Kemper and I was driving to work yelling ‘no!! she went there!!!’. Parasocial relationships at their best, I really needed Jon Hamm to know he was wrong.

Leapling Listening!!
Found ya’ll way back when Saint Monica first mentioned you on Armchair. I’m also a leapling, and will have my 9th birthday this year. Your conversations about leap day has had me cracking up. To answer some questions: Me and all the other leaplings I know celebrate on the 28th on non leap years. For me, my birthday is always the last day of February, and I find it really annoying when people try to convince me I shouldn’t celebrate until March 1. I get it… I’m not technically older until the day after the 28th. But isn’t it rude to argue with someone who doesn’t even get a real birthday every year? I graduated high school with two other girls who were also born on 2/29, and we still text each other every year we have a real birthday. I also do have a much bigger celebration on my real birthdays. Love your show! Keep doing what you’re doing, I can’t get enough!

Binging and trying to catch up
Writing to you from Puerto Rico. First time reviewer here. Never left a review on any other podcast. Like many others I’ve found my way to you guys through St Monica. I absolutely love you guys. Your relationship is truly an inspiration. You guys accompany me through my afternoons at home and on my way to work in the morning. I’ve been binging trying to catch up but will probably be sad when all caught up and have to wait a week to hear a new episode. Have recently started watching you instagram videos and find myself laughing all over again with you both. Your laughs are contagious, keep spreading joy through everyday mundane topics! Love you guys and wish you the very best!

Finally caught up!!
I have been binging episodes for the past few months (sent by Saint Monica of course) and am finally caught up! As a 20 something in NYC I particularly love the old stories of Andy’s apartment and have a boyfriend on the LES myself. I hope to someday have a marriage as open and honest as yours with said boyfriend. You are such great role models as partners and parents and a joy to listen to.

Leap Year Love
Elizabeth and Andy, After listening and laughing with you guys for over a decade, after Elizabeth inspired me to have my two kids at a birth center (but don't worry, I'm pro-vax!), and even after diagnosing my husband's case of Schatzki's Ring based on Elizabeth's description of her case... After all that and still no review (I'm sorry!), I finally had to pause listening right in the middle of Episode 100 to write this, because I was cackling on the floor and just couldn't stand it anymore. LEAP YEARS are not perfect. The earth spins around the sun for ~365.24 days per year, so adding an extra day (to account for the extra .24 in that equation) every four years is where that comes from. But when we do that, we're overcorrecting. .24 is a little less than a true 1/4, so after 100 years, we've overcorrected, and we need to bring it back a notch. Hence, no leap year that year (when it would normally occur). Does that make sense? PLEASE keep doing what you're doing. I feel like you've been old friends of mine for quite a while now, and when you came back with the new pod it was like reviving that old friendship, which I needed! Love, Abby

Incoming review mid-workout
I am listening!!! Had to pause mid-workout, download Apple podcasts, and leave this review. First I wanna say I love this show, you guys keep me laughing and inspire me to practice more effective communication with my husband. Anyways onto the reason for this review! I’ve been wanting to find a new scent and I stopped a stranger in a building to ask about her perfume. It was the same one Elizabeth mentioned in episode 65!! I went and sampled it in person and I didn’t love it right away. I gave it a few hours and put the sample on my skin instead of the paper and fell in love all over again. For Christmas I told anyone who asked that I wanted a Nordstrom gift card, so I will be purchasing the $300 size with less guilt. Just a strange expensive coincidence. Love you guys, please don’t ever stop what you’re doing! Sincerely, A soon to be good-smelling Nobody

Helpful and funny
Thank you for creating this wonderful podcast. I caught up recently and I just adore you both. There are so many things I could comment on but need to say thank you to Elizabeth. My father in law passed away recently and my husband was telling me that he keeps seeing deer and thinks it’s a sign from his dad. I told him about how you see signs from your parents, gave him examples and I could see comfort in my husband’s eyes. Thank you for being so honest and open. I’m listening, laughing and crying along with you both!

Sad/happy to be caught up!
Happy New Year! My second half of 2023 highlight was getting to know Elizabeth and Andy. Sent by saint Monica of course (per the most recent episode, is it “ahh” or “aww” Elizabeth?). I have so enjoyed learning from and laughing with these great humans. I have two young children (1 and 3) and listening to their stories of parenthood now gives me excitement for the future! Sad that in 2024 I will only get one episode a week but so grateful to have found this podcast!

Cervix balloon crossover
Hi Elizabeth and Andy, After discovering this podcast last year, I quickly finished all the episodes and went into the archives of Patreon. Now I’ve listened to all the episodes of Totally Married, and started Totally Mommy which is fitting as I’m thinking about starting my own family soon. Yesterday I listened to the episode where Elizabeth discusses the cervix balloon being yanked out by the Doogie Howser doctor. Much to my delight, this mornings episode of NLR revisited that traumatic experience and I found myself tickled that I got to hear about it again, all these years later. Thank you for taking us on the journey throughout your lives. I am loving traveling back in time to hear about preparations for baby Oprah’s arrival, and now hearing you discuss teaching your daughter about where babies grow (in the uterus, not womb). 😉 Love you guys!

My hilarious friend, Erin, turned me onto this pod. I can’t get enough. I love the authenticity and humor. Andy and Elizabeth are a barometer of what a healthy, loving and fun partnership, friendship and marriage should be. Love love love.

Thank you
A few years ago I was feeling so unsure. I was pregnant, buying & selling homes, raising a teenager, and running a small business. My sister said, “what if it all works out?” It became my mantra. I just remembered that listening to your recent episode and thought I would share. I lost my mom at 21 and my best friend a few years later. I also think of the worst things that could happen about those I love and don’t trust when things are going good. I just love you two. You inspire me so much. I always cook dinner but this weekend my husband is going to go shopping and make us something. Thank you so much for putting yourselves out there and helping so many feel less alone.

Hi Elizabeth and Andy! I’m listening! Been waiting to leave my review and the day is finally (sadly) here, since I can’t listen daily anymore. Get ready to sing because I’m here thanks to Saint Monica. Your dynamic is such good vibes and it’s always a wonderful part of my day to listen. You’re both hilarious and silly, insightful and have huge hearts. Andy, I’ve been getting into your music…right now I’m digging chaos cave. I really love your production style. My partner and I are also songwriters/producers/composers (all the things). Anyway, I’ll be looking forward to weekly episodes now. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Proud to be a new somebody Mikaela

Found you guys at the best time thanks to Saint Monica. My husband is deployed and I’m solo parenting two kids. I found you guys thanks to Monica and Armchair Expert. I’ve been listening to the old show and catching up for a couple of weeks. I’m listening!
My Spotify wrapped reminded me that I spent 5,065 minutes listening to Elizabeth and Andy this year(starting in July) so I figured it was time to find my way to iTunes and post my review. Wow! Thanks for all the laughs, I’m a grad student in the Boston area and was actually laughing out loud on the T as Elizabeth did her Boston accent on this week’s episode. I look forward to this podcast every week!
‘Nobody’s listening, right?’ brings up some lovely memories of listening to ‘totally married’ with my late husband. We would commute to work together, about an hour drive, and get excited for a new episode. I lost him a few years ago to suicide, so of course ‘a million little things’ had a huge impact on my healing. I was so happy to find Elizabeth wrote for the show. I hadn’t thought about those long car rides for awhile, but now each week, I’m reminded of some of our best mornings, grabbing a coffee, catching the sunrise on the drive, and listening to the show before parting for the day. I hope they know they touch lives of many. 🤎

WOM! came for my sister, stayed for the friends
My sister Emily lives & breathes all things E & A so I became a TOSTy last year and then joined the Nobody bandwagon a few months ago & boy am I glad I did. I am regularly cackling or crying in public thanks to you two. I adore you both and gossiping and gushing about the two of you with my sister makes the many miles and time zones between us a little easier. Heading to patreon now for the safety of more than 1000 hours of a show about nothing and everything!

Marriage Goals, People Goals- Praise Saint Monica
I have been listening to this podcast for a few months now. It is my very favorite format of podcast- two people talking about their lives. It is all inside baseball but E and A manage to bring us in to their relationship in thoughtful way. I am getting married in 10 days and I hope that this is what we look like a decade down the road. I am so thankful to have found this. It is funny, insightful and intimate. I always want to be drinking tea by a fire when I listen.

Can you make cleaning up puke fun?
I am home today with my youngest who has finally caught a stomach bug that has been circulating in our house. I am listening this morning while I clean up puke and do all the puke laundry. Is this fun? Not really, but you all make it a little better. I shared your podcast with my group of college friends as my current favorite listen and their response was “that tracks.” I don’t know what that means in terms of how they view me but I’m glad you’re my “type.” I wait for Wednesday and the laughs you all bring every week. I’m so far behind on all my other Podcasts!
After finally giving in to St. Monica’s recommendation, I have found myself swimming in a sea of Elizabeth and Andy and have left my other podcasts in the dust. I started at the beginning and just listened to you podcast from your new plaid couch! I love your banter and laugh out loud every episode. Andy, can you please do a tutorial on leasing a car. I’ve never had one and was literally in the middle of considering it when I listened to the ep where you were talking about how much you love negotiating a lease. (SIM) Elizabeth, I love ‘I’m Sorry’! I just rewatched it; so good. You all are the best and I’m dreading getting caught up and having to wait a week for an episode to drop! ❤️❤️

The Scoop
I’ve never written a review, but as I was listening while getting dressed this morning, leaning over to scoop my boobs into my bra, I almost fell over as Elizabeth described doing the exact same thing at that exact same moment. Seemed like a sign. I’ve been listening while doing chores, working out, and other mindless tasks over the last year. Your banter and storytelling makes it go faster. Hope your bra journey works out, Elizabeth!
