Has everything you could ever want in a podcast. Facts, great story telling, and showbiz! That’s how they do it Hollywood! 3/5 stars, wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommend. Have turned dozens of people into suckers.

Don’t change a thing

Dan Cummins is the man that I should’ve been…if I’d taken heed of all the good folks in my life who told me to reach my potential. Huzzah! That’s showbiz!

Actually timed this latest episodes “short sponsor break” which clocked in at SEVEN MINUTES. Comes off as an annoying cash grab even though I skip them. Dan can be funny but shoehorns in a lot of previous content to create running gags which feels forced. Brings some obscure topics to a wider audience and seems to do decent research. **update: if you want to listen to this, all the stuff before 2021 is great. Afterwards he goes full CNN liberal. Very preachy and comes off like a smug Redditor.

Every week is a must-listen. It has never disappointed. Hail Nimrod.

This podcast is amazing! The community around it is fantastic and full of great open minded people of all cultures, all with one thing in common; the love for being curious! Dan Cummins Timesuck has had a deep emotional impact with me as well as many others. Dans formula of learning mixed with dark comedy as well as all the inside jokes hits perfect and can make any bad day more enjoyable. 3/5 stars wouldn’t change a thing! HAIL NIMROD!!!!

This podcast is amazing. It was recommended by a coworker and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it. I started from episode 1 and already on 44 !!!!!!

The first episode I listened to was the Lori Vallow case (or maybe the Alex Murdaugh case)? Either way, I was absolutely hooked. I love Dan’s energy and thoroughness. His voice is so easy on the ears too. Well, I now have even more respect for Dan because today, I listened to his April 1 episode. Omg! I don’t want to give spoilers to anyone who hasn’t listed to it yet. Let’s just say I’m even more in awe with Dan than I was before. Thank you Dan Cummings!

As a long-time STD listener (snob, you could say), I’ve found myself spending more time and anticipation with the TS pod. Personally, I love his tangents, profanity, vulgarity (“devil hole” should not be—but is— my new favorite descriptor) and find Dan to be painfully genuine and entertaining. Not only that, but the way he presents information makes me THINK, and I crave that. Also, I absolutely fell for it.

That should’ve given it away, but I wanted to believe, so I did. Kept asking myself, how could a person even smell like that? Very well done, you really got me.

Loved this podcast until this last episode. I have listened to 350 episodes but after this lie I don’t think I’ll make 351.

This is one of the best podcasts out there! Timesuck is hilarious, super informative, and incredibly well researched. Dan covers a diverse range of topics from serial killers to space exploration, folklore to pop culture, ancient history to modern mysteries, there’s something for everyone! 3 out of 5 Stars! I started listening to this podcast like a week ago and I started from the beginning and I’m proud to say I am an official time sucker, love what you do and your specials keep up the good work and keep on suckin!

It’s too hard to listen to a podcast where every 10th word is the F word.

Update* Dan is an anti-Semite terrorist sympathizer now. I enjoyed Dan, but even his brilliant humor and enthusiasm can’t make episodes like H.P. Lovecraft enjoyable. The last few (7 thousand wonders of the world, etc) have just been bad topics for this format. Don’t be that band that refuses to play the hits. Play. The. Hits. Chikatilos & Unit 731’s Edit: Dan is now just riding the woke wagon to keep his clicks up.

Love the historical aspect of the show. It’s very well researched and thought out. Man the corny jokes and tangents are corny at times and distract from the seriousness of some of the topics. Also the ad breaks are so long

I’ve been a timesucker for YEARS and finally writing a review- love this podcast! So much knowledge in Nimrod.

Sometimes his bits go on a little long which just makes them annoying, but the topics make up for it, so I’m not complaining…much 😅

I enjoy this podcast so much! I am constantly amazed at how Dan can take complicated and often dark subjects and make them entertaining and even downright hilarious. I appreciate Dan’s sense of humor and I find myself looking forward to each new episode. I also enjoy his podcast “Scared to death” that he cohosts with his beautiful wife. Their dynamic on that podcast is fun and like listening to old friends. Keep up the great work!

If you’re easily offended then it’s probably not for you and scroll to another podcast because Dan does not bend to the cultural sensitivities and nor should he. Thanks for all you do!!!

Honestly one of my favorite pods, even when Dan inexplicably uses an Australian/English hybrid accent for a serial killer who was Scottish and played by David Tennant on Netflix. All hail hot oiled father daddies!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Never cared for podcasts much but as a professional CDL driver, this podcast was recommended and now how I spend most of my drives. Dan knocks it out of the park every time! Also Dan, if you’re reading this, look into the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, AR. It’s one of the most haunted hotels in America which was built in the mid 1800’s and still stands. It’s gorgeous, creepy, & has a screwed past. Everything form an all girls school, to a civil war hospital, to a clinic with a mad doctor, (Dr. Norman Baker) who became quite famous in the 20’s-30’s for claiming to be able to cure incurable diseases, etc. he was known for working with shady folks, until he was found out & I think (don’t quote me) committed suicide on the grounds. Last year while construction workers were working on the grounds, they found actual body parts in glass containers buried from that time era. Would make an awesome two parter for both Timesuck & Scared to Death!!!! Effed history, lots of ghost sightings including myself, PLEASE DO IT!! Haha

This show used to be great but ever since they got rid of Joe the quality hasn’t been there.
