Anything from Patrick Hines should be wiped from the podcast world. He is an abuser and a terrible person. I listened to this years ago and in one episode he interviews one of his abuse victims, holding her on a pedestal. It shows how fame and narcissistic behavior are not a good mix.

I loved the episode with Lin and the episode with Pippa.. they are so relaxing to listen to on the way to school

I love this podcast! I am a theatre teacher on the west side of the country and often don’t have a great feel for what is going on on Broadway. It is so much fun to hear the interviews which are just a perfect combination of insightful questions/answers, stories of journey, and fangirling. I am OBSESSED!

When I was nine, I took a musical theater trial class and performed the number "King of New York" from Newsies (which is still my favorite musical, BTW), and ever since then, musical theater has been my life. I have been doing it for six years now and aspire to earn a BFA and make it to Broadway. I came across this podcast from a Backstage article, and boy, am I glad I did! Each episode inspires me to follow my dreams, and Patrick, you are the best host! I live in San Diego, but was born in Philly and having this NYC connection is so wonderful! Thank you Theater People for inspiring students like me to pursue their Broadway dreams! 😀

I love theater, but work in a very straight/male dominated field where I don't get to talk about it with my colleagues. Once a straight coworker turned to me and smiled and said "You love Broadway, don't you?" I could gossip about bway celebs forever. This show gives me my fix. The quality of guests has been declining, but the theater world is small, so I'm not surprised. You don't have to listen to every episode anyway! Love this show, but I feel like Patrick says every single conversation was "the best convo ever!"... and every show he sees was "the most perfect show." This isn't supposed to be a critical podcast, or a podcast for reviews, but it totally takes away from the credibility of the interviewer if everything they see is "perfect".

I'm a theatre teacher, and this podcast is invaluable! Not only is Patrick and fantastic interviewer, but the many stories and pieces of advice give me material to take back to my students to inspire and motivate them! Love love love!

It's such a treat to hear how shows get started from ideas to hits. Patrick asks all the right questions and brings the amazing stories to life. It's addicting and that greatest thing a theater lover could ask for.

I have been searching for YEARS for a podcast that gives me interviews with creatives on every level of the Broadway spectrum & I have finally found my heaven in Theater People! I love that Patrick is able to interivew everyone from performer to producer and really get to show us the personalities behind all of the shows we love! This is my all time favorite podcast!

You can tell the proper research has been done when listening. The sound quality is greatly improved from the beginning. Now it feels as if your sitting in the room.

From being a massive musical theatre fan from Australia, I feel like I never miss a beat with this podcast and I've found a new best friend.

If you love theater or Broadway then this show is a MUST listen! It made me love theatre even more.

My only complaint is that there aren't enough episodes to occupy my entire day everyday. However if there were, then I'd not be able to have a job to pay my rent and more importantly pay for my addiction to Broadway and off Broadway theatre
