I’m very into podcasts. Been listening to this and many others for around 8 years now. These guys are the best. They’ve inspired me to take up writing for film internships because of James’ background and they’re common knowledge of all things in life as it relates to the greatest art form of all time is truly magnificent and something very important. Thank you guys

My once 5 is now a 2. Sadly, the guys no longer have their own opinions and become just more bandwagon reviewers. Pretty much whatever the mainstream opinions are on things… that’s theirs. I guess it keeps sponsors happy. If it’s popular to hate on something, they hate. They spread the hate, now. I had a lengthy review but what’s the point? If you want to hear the opinions of the general audiences and not the true genre crowd, give them a listen and you’ll enjoy your lemming reviews. Used to be one of my favorites. Sadly, going to have to let them go. Cutting all the hate out of my life. Today, I unfollowed the show. Hate spewed at Rebel Moon? Sure! I get it. But the bile hurled at Avatar TV show, Ghostbusters, and whatever else. It’s really sad that there are people like this that can no longer enjoy movies. Not every film is best movie ever. Sometimes you want to just enjoy yourself for a while and get away from the (hate filled) world. So now… I’m getting away from this. It’s been… something.

I go all the way back with these boys to episode 1. They’ve been my Monday morning commute for over 10 years. My only complaint is they only spent one episode on bovril

This show has all of the best comedy routines: inside jokes, spend too long going down rabbit holes, and redoing the same bits multiple times. In all seriousness, these guys are hilarious and have kept the Eeyore-esque rainclouds away on many days. Much love from the U.S., keep up the great work. PS, bring back Little James!

Been listening to these guys every night at work for few years now, nothing but nonstop laughs and insight. If you’re thinking about listening definitely do so & if you’re wondering why your headphones sound like that don’t worry they’re just Australian. Keep it up gentleman.

I’ve been listening to this show for years and I can honestly say that there aren’t two hosts, just one insane guy with two strange accents. In all seriousness it’s a fantastic show that’s entertained me week in and week out with the best podcast hosts out there. It’s not the worst show ever so it must be the best show ever.

The amount of force that this podcast slaps me in the ears with every single time is unmatched. Listen to it.

I’ve never left a review of any podcast, but I’ve been listening to these two since 2014, and I really couldn’t recommend a podcast more. No matter what happens, I can always count on a fun hour of two good friends talking about fun movies and other media that I like but can’t keep up with. I really love these dudes and hope that they keep doing this podcast until the heat death of the universe. It’s just weird that they talk about Australia so much, maybe they have family there.

Okay so it’s was just my early morning dream right before hitting that snooze alarm but I dreamt that you boys were kidnapped and being held in my neighbors basement!!! Now why my 83 year old neighbor would want to do that, I have no idea but I am sure if she heard your podcast…she probably could not relate but I do and I love it. But sadly, me in a giant mecha suit wasn’t enough to help rescue you both before it was time to get up and go to work. I’ll try harder next time but can I be the podcast’s resident county code enforcer cause I feel that my neighbor will listen to code enforcement better than a giant mecha bot and I can do a better job of protecting you both should you come to Spring Hill, Florida. She feel she will fear a violation notice for not mowing her lawn more than a giant robot… Thanks. Ps: In Florida, I thought we didn’t have basements homes but apparently, according to Zillow there are 189 for sale… not a lot but still makes we worry for your safety.

The thing is that these guys are the type that you go to a party and see them in the corner and they are the life of the party, center of attention types. A talking goat and a guy with a gold hand, going on and on about politics, Hollywood, Marvel, and DC. But then out of no where, BOOM!, Snake Eyes. The room stops, they speak about it, mike drops and just as soon as they we here, they are gone. Oh, sorry about the cheese dip Sarah, that one was on André. Vegetable rights and Peace!

Great, hilariously self-aware pop culture podcast. One of the only pods that I listen to at regular 1x speed so as to not miss the rapid fire jokes and observations. Let me know if you’re not rooting for these guys so I can fight you.

Almost finished with my senior year in high school. I found a way during my sophomore year to listen to podcasts during classes. 1st period every Monday and Thursday/Friday is my favorite class! Finally, a (unofficial and rather sketchy) way to enjoy school!

Only started listening last year when a friend recommended it, and I now owe that friend a life debt. It’s rather fantastic if you like things you can hear that talk about things you can see. It’s even entertaining if you don’t watch movies (probably). Jameothy and Masonic’s banter reminds me of hanging out with my Kiwi and Aussie mates back in the day when I lived in NZ… just good blokes having a good time. Keep on grabbing that Jam!

came for the red arrows in 2014 or something and now I’m 25 and im just more confused. I think i stayed because of the banter and because i got enough people in high school to say “give it a googs” seriously though they’ve been a stalwart in my life and i feel so happy that i get to tune in each week, no matter if i watched the thing or not

Been listening to this podcast since my freshman year of high school (only since about 2019) and I love listening to two big angry boys to start off my week. I live for the times when they have something to be angry about and rant on for a few minutes about it. The occasional movie is a pretty cool bonus as well.

The big ears batman boys keep me entertained every week. After years of listening I finally decided to leave a review when I heard these Aussies make a humorous reference involving one Rudolph Giuliani. I was so tickled I nearly spit out my beverage. Now here I am, writing a 5 star review. I’m big ears batman.

I have had nothing f but joy since I discovered this podcast after a YouTuber gave them a shout out and I felt bad I have missed years of this hilarious duo with wonderfully funny takes on movies, games comics and more! These two are soo hilarious I literally laugh out loud. 6 stars should be available for this pod!

The podcast is gold! A highlight of my weekly ritual! Also, Mason should release an album, he has a beautiful singing voice and I’m sure we’d all love to hear it.

Yeah they’re good podcasters. But based on an attentive listen that has gone on for a few decades, I think Maso might be an honorable person. He seems optimistic and less potty mouthed. James is rude and uncouth as we all know but I think Maso is kind and gentle.

I have been listening to this show for many years and I don’t know why it has taken me so long to write a review. Once I came across James’s youtube channel, I was hooked. I had never even considered listening to podcasts, but hearing James and Nick’s conversations was what got me interested. The Weekly Planet is my favorite podcast and I recently had the thought that no other podcast has ever topped it in enjoyment levels. I remember a time (I think around the time Mad Max: Fury Road came out) when I didn’t have friends and listening to these guys made me feel like I had some. Although thinking about it this would be a strange relationship in which they record their conversations and send them to me and this is the only way we communicate.

Been listening since The Weekly Planet year one. Decided to send an email for the first (and only) time a year or two ago and tell a story about how I hated Zoolander 2 so much I walked out with 30 minutes left and still haven’t seen the end of that film. I’ll never walk out on this podcast though. Unless James changes the theme song again, then I’ll think about it.

This is a five star podcast for five star people. Or whatever the conversion rate of American stars to Australian stars is.

Listening to two guys riff on the corporate nightmare that is the current state of movies and tv shows is a blast. James and Maso make me actually giggle out loud on the frequent, proving that keeping up with the latest news surrounding passing interests is a great time. Keep up the good work lads.
