I’m in an exploration phase, and will probably be for the rest of my life. Coming out of the Christian faith, my first time listening to this podcast felt rebellious! (That sounds so silly now.) As a Christian, I was not permitted to be curious about other world views, question anything, and was taught to try to convert or “witness,” rather than understand. So listening to Brady simply ask questions and listen, without his ego getting in the way to challenge the other person... without an agenda other than curiosity and love, I feel as though that gave me permission to keep exploring in that same way. Without judgement of the other person, without my ego wanting to challenge them. Just to listen, and search until I discover a collection of wisdom that feels true for me. This podcast was my first experience exploring anything outside of my childhood Christian conditioning, and thanks to it’s gentleness, I’ve been encouraged to go beyond it and create a more peaceful, joy-filled life.

This has definitely been the most helpful podcast along my journey. I’ve had more insights and epiphanies about how I process my own deconstruction and reconstruction by listening to these stories than any other resource I’ve found. Thank you, Brady.

I really don’t know what else to say, except thank you. In my season of reevaluating my core beliefs, the podcast has been a great source of encouragement and reassurance. There’s a great balance of exploring deep truths as well as just funny, light-hearted moments. Very grateful to have had a question addressed on the show, and also for the wonderful primer on the tao-te-Ching, I have always believed that there is deep wisdom in texts outside of the Christian world, but never knew where to start. Brady’s look at the Tao is a great model on how to look into resources outside of the faith tradition you are a part of.

This podcast found me when I needed this the most. I am extremely grateful for your existence Brady. Each episode is not only deep and thought provoking, it’s hilarious and beyond relatable. Thank you for talking through the unraveling.
